Any ivf pregnancies ?

I'm only 6+2 and super paranoid about absolutely everything. Had my fet on the 28/09, it was our second fet after the first one failed, I had bleeding before I even got to the otd. My scan is this Thursday and it's fair to say I'm bricking it.

Would be nice to chat with some ladies who've done ivf, I have been keeping an eye on the June 2022 thread but sometimes I find I can't relate.

Hi, I'm joining your thread as I've just found out that I'm pregnant via IVF! It's my first pregnancy and I've been so focused on TTC for 2.5yrs, I can't quite believe I have a poppy seed baby on board! It makes me just 4w3d today. I'm quite nervous about reaching the next milestone but also want to enjoy this feeling for now.

I'll probably lurk and see how others are going, I'm definitely a newbie to pregnancy, but it's lovely to follow along. I hope everyone's doing well!

Ahhh I am sooooo over the moon today - had my 8w scan this morning and both of the embryos took! Saw two little kidney bean-sized babies with flickering heartbeats ❤️❤️❤️ I was so freaked out that something may have gone wrong but I've seen them and they're real!

@TheSnufflet 💕 Its a brilliant feeling isn't it! Congratulations. 🎉

@paintfairy thank you!! when the sonographer showed me the heartbeats I thought I would cry or something but I just laughed from the relief of it all 😂 my mum was with me for moral support and she was so happy to see her grandchildren she told everyone in Waitrose afterwards and they gave her a free bottle of wine - result!

I had my growth scan today (she's measuring perfectly, I'm just big 😂) and finally saw a consultant! @Holskey I think it was you saying about the early induction for ivf babies. The consultant said that it's 40 weeks round here and they'll let you go up to 41 and that's it which is fine by me. It would be good to orchestrate a due date baby as her dob would be so cool...22.02.22!

@Holskey I'm waiting for the date to be confirmed still, hopefully it's not too long to wait!

@Holskey all confirmed for 17th Jan...aka, ages away! Phewww I will need even more patience now. I'll be 8w6d by then. It seems longer than I thought!

@Donimo @TheSnufflet - I'm 8+2 with non identical twins, also ivf. Glad to find some other twin pregnancies at about the same stage! How are you guys feeling? Are these your first pregnancies?

I'm okay thanks. I've had terrible morning sickness which is finally easing a little so hopefully I can have Christmas dinner! 😁

@notsofertilemyrtle I think you might win in the category of latest "early" scan! Did you question it? Mine was at 8 weeks which I also thought was late, but I didn't say anything (didn't work out how far along I'd be until after I hung up!). On the plus side, the detail on that scan will be amazing and will be so reassuring. You could also get an earlier private scan if necessary (I did).

Hi @whatcangowrong, I am not feeling great. On antisickness meds which are helping though. I had a previous late ectopic pregnancy (picked up at 9 weeks) and we have a 2 year old daughter. Already thinking about all the implications of having 3 pre schooled aged children! And my husbands already started looking for a new car! How are you? Are these your firsts?

@donimo ah we are in a similar boat... I have an 18 mo old son. Due date will be around his second birthday so the first few years could be quite nuts!

I was thinking I'd take the full years mat leave with my second (I only took 6 months with my first for lots of reasons) but now I'm thinking my job sounds quite a lot easier than looking after 3 children!!

Glad you're getting some respite from the sickness. I thought mine was going to really ramp up as I was feeling pretty queasy at 6 weeks. But it's pretty much gone now which was a worry in itself obviously but I had a scan yesterday and all is well :-)

@Holskey I'm glad you've said that, I'm also surprised by how far away it is but thought maybe I was just being fussy. She just said the first available date was the 17th. Hmm.

I have bloods next week but that's a bit of a wait then isn't it.

Can I ask how you go about booking a private scan? I'm guessing it's with a Inicio other than your IVF one? I'm with Care and NHS funded so I guess I'd need to go somewhere else.

All scans seem to be in short supply at the moment. Our 20 week had to be delayed this week due to staff sickness and now winter hapoen until 22 weeks.

@SerendipitySunshine sorry your scan is late. That would annoy me!

@notsofertilemyrtle private scans are good business now with so many women unwilling to wait until 12 weeks and for women wanting gender scans at 16 weeks. Just Google private scans. I believe Window to the Womb does them for just £60ish but there isn't one near me. I went with Ultrasound Direct and it was about £80. There are others. Though not everyone has the money spare of course.

Sorry I haven't been around. I am currently 7+5 and my scan will finally be on the 23rd of December (at 8+3). My place doesn't do blood testing so I had my transfer on the 14th of November and nothing official since. Just a stick I peed on to say that I am pregnant! I had to step away from the forum as was driving myself crazy. Honestly surprised I didn't cave and get a private scan done but my DH said we should wait. I did see a few who scanned too early and then were anxious so decided was probably best to go with my clinic stuff.

Some symptoms -like itchy/sore boobs (they are defo bigger too?!), stupidly tired, indigestion, and peeing a lot. But still no nausea and no morning sickness. Considering we had 2 embryos transferred am kind of hoping we can join the twins club but at the same time it seems unlikely with the lack of sickness.

@AMN3000 my scan was at 8+1 and it definitely seemed an age to wait. But it was worth waiting! You can see so much more and there's no ambiguity. Just keep busy but you are nearly there now!
