I'm only 6+2 and super paranoid about absolutely everything. Had my fet on the 28/09, it was our second fet after the first one failed, I had bleeding before I even got to the otd. My scan is this Thursday and it's fair to say I'm bricking it.

Would be nice to chat with some ladies who've done ivf, I have been keeping an eye on the June 2022 thread but sometimes I find I can't relate.

@Holskey thank you so much, still feel like I'm not over it tbh but trying to be positive in this pregnancy, just feels very bitter sweet. Sorry you're worrying as well, I feel like even in a normal pregnancy you probably worry a lot, let alone with all out of our histories x

RiverRiot · 03/12/2021 17:20

@Frenchie86 I’m so sorry, that must have been so tough and can completely understand why you’d still be anxious. I’m really hoping you have a completely different experience this time around. 💜

@Etonmess20 Yay for the scans I look forward to hearing all about them!

@Holskey That makes sense but fingers crossed you do get one this side of Xmas.

@strawberrysummer19 Congrats on the scan and congrats on the test results @JAR1981! Must be reassuring.

@Hufflepuff1 @FiveDollarShakes @AMN3000 To be totally honest I don’t think there’s anything that actually stops us worrying bar holding a healthy baby in our arms and even then it just kicks off a whole other set of worries.

I’d had betas and 3 scans before yesterday and I still walked in to my 12wk scan with a mentally prepared email for work and what I wanted in terms of management had things gone tits up again. It’s just the shitty legacy of IVF and loss I think unfortunately.

RiverRiot · 03/12/2021 17:26

@Hufflepuff1 Like others have said 700+ is a good strong number.

@FiveDollarShakes I wouldn’t worry, especially if it wasn’t the full 48-72 hours. Also, my clinic said betas don’t have to double-double. As long as they’re over 60% it’s considered normal. e.g. If you have one at 800, the next one doesn’t have to be exactly 1600. As long as it’s around 1400 that’s considered completely fine.

@AMN3000 All of my symptoms came and went a lot until they buggered off entirely at 8 weeks and was told this is totally normal. I think it’s just so different from woman to woman and even the same woman with different pregnancies.

Sorry to all those feeling grotty! I hope the medication helps.

Frenchie86 · 03/12/2021 17:36

@RiverRiot thank you, it really was horrendous. I’ll keep you posted. I totally understand where you’re coming from re sending an email if things went tits up, I think we are all trying to protect ourselves to an extent x

Holskey · 03/12/2021 17:49

@strawberrysummer19 😍 lovely.

@RosieLeeD how are you doing?

JAR1981 · 04/12/2021 09:16

You’ve been busy ladies, lots to catch up on!

Congratulations @FiveDollarShakes and @Hufflepuff1 on your betas. @huffle good luck for Monday.

@strawberrysummer19 congratulations on your scan! Great you got to see the heartbeat too it’s such a relief.

@AMN3000 I’m 14 weeks today and have had very few symptoms all along so try not to worry. The only consistent one is more CM than usual (milky white I think it’s called leukorrhea sorry TMI) but even that has disappeared the odd day or two. I had bad indigestion to the point it made me feel nauseous weeks 6-8. I need to pee in the night. And completely went off tea and chocolate weeks 5-11. That aside I feel normal. It made me really anxious however speaking to a couple of friends one of them had had two healthy pregnancies with no symptoms either.

@RiverRiot I have my midwife appointment on the 21st so will be nice to meet her before Christmas. And I’ve booked a private reassurance scan for the 13th too to keep me going. I’ve had scans at 6, 8, 10 and 12 weeks so leaving it 3 weeks to 15 for the next one feels like a big step. I am in awe of anyone that manages to have just a 12 and 20 week scan!

RosieLeeD · 04/12/2021 16:06

@Holskey I'm ok thank you, sorry I've been so quiet. Everything still seems to be going in the right direction - I had a 10 wk scan this week and all was well and clot has reduced more which is positive. I have another scan in a couple of weeks (just before I'll be 12 weeks) but my nuchal scan isn't until 30th December. I'm really struggling with my anxiety (as I appreciate lots, if not most, of us on here are too), I think I am subconsciously trying to forget I'm pregnant just to get day to day and must admit I haven't been keeping up with this thread as much as I was. I'm getting worse every time I go for a scan and practically had a panic attack this week!

How are you and how are you coping with the sickness? Sorry to see you had to cancel your midwife's appointment but if you already have a scan booked hopefully it won't delay matters x

I hope everyone else is doing ok x

Holskey · 04/12/2021 16:08

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 you'll know quite a few names here. Though I actually think the majority of people who are still active on the IVF/FET thread have bfps now!

Holskey · 04/12/2021 16:15

@RosieLeeD that makes perfect sense. I just thought of you and realised it bad been a while (though it probably hasn't been long at all and it's just that time has slowed down!) I'm so glad everything is still going in the right direction and the clot is reducing. I won't chase you and will leave you to update when you feel like it 😊

My scan isn't booked until the midwife appointment which is why I'm concerned it'll be delayed. I'm sorry to hear yours is so late!

RosieLeeD · 05/12/2021 07:32

@Holskey thank you for thinking of me and you are so right, time has really slowed down, I feel like I should be 20 weeks pregnant by now rather than 10 weeks! I'm trying to stop counting every day but it's easier said than done isn't it! X

Novavee · 06/12/2021 22:32

Hi everyone,

I'm glad I found this thread. I hope you don't mind if I join.

I had my FET on 19th November and tested positive 9dp5dt.
I am officially (according to online calculators) 5w+1 today and I have a viability scan booked for the 14th when I'll be 6w+2. Anyone on a similar timeline? I am worrying it might be too early to have a visible heartbeat at 6 weeks but when offered the chance I couldn't help choosing the earliest possible date available.

JAR1981 · 07/12/2021 10:08

Welcome @Novavee and congratulations! My first scan was at 6+3 and we were lucky enough to see a heartbeat. I think you’re in with a good chance at 6+2 however it’s not a certainty so you should be prepared that you might not and all could still be on track.

@RosieLeeD sorry to hear you’ve been anxious. It does feel like entering some kind of timewarp finally being pregnant. Counting down between scans is what keeps me going. 6 days until my scan at what will hopefully be 15+2 for me.

Holskey · 07/12/2021 14:05

@Novavee congratulations and welcome! The earliest I've had a scan is 6+5 and there was a heartbeat. 6+2 could very well show you a heartbeat, but I think you just have to promise yourself now that you'll stay calm if the nurse says it's a little too early. Fingers crossed it's a lovely reassuring scan though 🤞

Novavee · 07/12/2021 17:56

@JAR1981 @Holskey thank you for the welcome and reassurance. I'll just have to do my best not to panic and be prepared to return for a second scan, whilst hoping for the best. Easier said then done... I must confess I'm still testing even though I know I should keep well away from them... it's just so difficult to believe this is real. I hope it changes with the scan.

Hufflepuff1 · 07/12/2021 18:52

Hi @Novavee we are both in exactly the same timeline. I also had my transfer on the 19th November. My scan isn't until the 22nd though when we will be 7+3. My clinic don't do them earlier than 7 weeks. At least you don't have to wait long for yours, the wait is the worst!! X

makeithappen2022 · 07/12/2021 23:21

Hi @Novavee I am also very close to your timeline, currently 5+ 5. Have my scan on Friday at 6+ 1 as I was also impatient! They said they may not get a heartbeat yet but not to worry, really hoping they do though!

TheSnufflet · 08/12/2021 14:07

Aaaargh my clinic have just contacted me today rescheduling my scan to the 17th December - I'll be exactly 8 weeks by then. I know it means they'll be able to see more but I'm going out of my mind!! Reading too many internet stories and freaking out about every symptom or lack thereof 😖

ParisinNovember · 08/12/2021 15:17

Hi girls,

I’m new to this thread but just looking for advice please. I have been using the Clearblue weeks indicator test and I’m not progressing to 3+. I am 5 weeks + 2 days today and my initial beta level was 150 9dp5dt so I would have thought I’d have got there by now. I have zero symptoms, I had breast tenderness but it’s gone. I’ve got to admit I’ve gone a bit crazy and actually took the test apart to see the lines and now I feel even more worried sick as the high sensitivity strip of the test I did today (on top) was lighter than the test I did yesterday. I know these tests are the work of the devil. They do nothing to help women who are terrified of a miscarriage. I’ve decided to stop testing and get a beta HCG test done tomorrow to see if it’s gone up. Does anyone know please what level it should be now? I will be 19dp5dt

RiverRiot · 08/12/2021 15:54

Oh FFS not these goddamned weeks tests again!! 🙈 Honestly, they should just be banned, it’s criminal the worry they cause.

150 is a very good number for 9dp5dt and it is totally normal to not have any symptoms. Lots of the ladies here have had very few.

In terms of BHCG you’d ideally want it to double every 48-72 hrs so you’d be looking at approximately 4800 by 19dp5dt if my maths are correct. BUT it could be much lower than this and still be fine. I think anything over about 3200 would be considered normal but you’d need to check with you clinic.

When is your first scan? Hopefully this will give some reassurance as well.

We all know only too well how tough this stage is but try and stay calm as best you can. Flowers

ParisinNovember · 08/12/2021 17:07

Thank you so much for your reply @RiverRiot, thank you for taking the time and effort to reply fully. I really appreciate it. I think I’ve been making myself an anxious nutter lately, I’m not buying anymore of those infuriating tests! X

ParisinNovember · 08/12/2021 17:12

My first scan is at 7 weeks so not this Monday but next. I feel like I’m just existing till then! X

strawberrysummer19 · 08/12/2021 18:13

Has anyone had / having an itchy bump?
So my bump is huge as I've had a bit of a bloat since 2ww and at my early scan it showed a few cysts which the nurse said is really common with ivf pregnancies but anyway noticed it's been really itchy at times today - also wondered when one should be using bio oil? Or any other remedy

I did bio oil with my first but that was over 10yrs ago and literally forgot anything pregnancy related with her! I remember being itchy though just can't remember when x

Etonmess20 · 08/12/2021 18:25

@strawberrysummer19 my bump is/has been itchy (I'm nearly 18 weeks now) & I think it's just the skin stretching so I just keep moisturising (either normal moisturiser or bio oil) & hoping for the best! It soothes it if nothing else x

Novavee · 08/12/2021 22:19

Hi @Hufflepuff1 what a lovely coincidence having the exact same dates! So frustrating you have to wait longer but we can't win, can we? If It's soon we worry it's too soon, if it's later we basically worry while waiting. How are you feeling? Do you have any symptoms?

@makeithappen2022 hi! So glad to have found more people with similar dates. There were only a couple of people in RL that knew we were trying, so these threads are a lifeline. Have you told anyone? I feel like shouting from the rooftops and at the same time just keep everything really quiet just in case.

@TheSnufflet so sorry they changed your dates. Did they say why? Can't they understand how anxiety takes over in these early days?

@ParisinNovember step away from the tests! I know how difficult it is, as it's the only way to keep an eye on what may be happening inside but nothing good ever comes of it. I tested regularly with frer until 17dp5dt and had a box of clearblue with weeks stashed to use this week in search of the 3+ for reassurance. And then I read some of the experiences on this thread with how unreliable they are and ended up returning them today, as the box was still sealed. Take care of yourself and trust your result.

Holskey · 08/12/2021 22:46

@TheSnufflet that's really inconsiderate of them. Did they say why? It's like they don't know how much the scan means to you!

@ParisinNovember taking apart the tests is such a bad idea and not a reliable indicator of anything. I hope your blood test goes well and reassures you 🤞

@strawberrysummer19 yes, get the bio oil/ moisturiser out ASAP. Mine isn't itching yet (not grown enough) but I've already started. I can't wait to have a big bump (God willing) 😊
