Any ivf pregnancies ?

I'm only 6+2 and super paranoid about absolutely everything. Had my fet on the 28/09, it was our second fet after the first one failed, I had bleeding before I even got to the otd. My scan is this Thursday and it's fair to say I'm bricking it.

Would be nice to chat with some ladies who've done ivf, I have been keeping an eye on the June 2022 thread but sometimes I find I can't relate.

@Hufflepuff1 This table gives some info on what numbers ‘should’ be. I’m sorry you’re feeling so anxious, but like you said we are all anxious here and completely understand. I hope your HCG result gives you reassurance

Any ivf pregnancies ?
Hufflepuff1 · 02/12/2021 18:42

Thank you so much for that @ParisinNovember

RiverRiot · 02/12/2021 19:04

Welcome and congrats to all the new ladies!

@Hufflepuff1 A few of us have had miscarriages here so we totally get how anxious you are. It definitely takes the shine off the next pregnancy that’s for sure. I’ve heard clinics like a BHCG of 100+ for fresh transfers on OTD and 50+ for frozen but of course all clinics test of different days so I’m not sure how helpful that is. I think the main thing is not what the figure is but that it’s doubling in 48hrs. It’s so hard not to worry but we have to try and remind ourselves that this is a different pregnancy with a different baby.

@Tinyhappypeople Oh the sugar gliders are so cute! I also didn’t know you could have them as pets!

@JAR1981 £210 for NCT? Bargain! It’s £325 where I am! 😱

@becarefuloutthere I’m 12+5 today. I don’t think I’ll find out the sex - I always wanted a surprise anyway and now it’s been 3.5 years to get to this point I’m like ‘what’s another six months?’ 😂

@Frenchie86 Yeah, I’ve somehow ended up with 2 extra weeks of both lots of progesterone and a weeks worth of oestrogen too. 🤷🏻‍♀️ And was debating about staying on but I was finding the injections increasingly harder to do so thought I’ll just finish this pack of pessaries now they’re open.

I have now been having a bit of light cramping and the tiniest bit of spotting over the last two days so don’t know if it’s related or normal for it to happen at 12weeks as I know things are growing and moving again?

Had my 12wk scan today and we have officially moved from gummy bear to real life moving baby. 🥳 I was amazed by how clear the pics were and what we were able to see! Am apparently measuring ahead by a day or so but they said that was really common with IVF so EDD stays the same.
Also they said baby was on their tummy - didn’t even know that was possible at this stage - and s/he refused to move into a better position no matter how much wiggling the sonogropher tried so it’s looks like baby is stubborn like it’s mum! 🙈

For any other ladies past this stage, after the scan I’ve had some shooting pains in my cervix (scan was abdominal) I’ve been quite ‘aware’ of that area over the past few days as well as the cramping & spotting. Anyone else had this? It feels like I’m due on but thought that stage would have passed by now? I didn’t have it before stopping/cutting back on the progesterone. 🤔

Frenchie86 · 02/12/2021 19:40

@RiverRiot I don’t blame you re injections! Have you decided whether you’ll carry on with the Pessaries? Congrats on your scan, so exciting to see a moving baby! Didn’t realise it could be on their tummy, how cute. I’m sure the spotting is nothing to worry about, sounds like things are growing fast like you said. Have you spoken to them about it? Have you started showing yet? I have my 12 week scan on the 15th and it can’t come quickly enough! X

paintfairy · 02/12/2021 19:46

@Hufflepuff1 my rhr has been dropping too. Google tells me it's actually normal though.

RiverRiot · 02/12/2021 20:06

@Frenchie86 I’m just going to finish this box which will run out tomorrow I think, although if I get any proper spotting over the next couple of days I’ll probably carry on for a bit.

Yeah, it was so nice to see baby - had a bit of a cry. Not showing yet but I tend to get quite bloated in the evening now though so I just look like I’ve eaten a lot.

In terms of symptoms, she just asked if my clinic had said to expect that after coming off progesterone which they haven’t so I'm none the wiser. They said I could take some magnesium supplements though and that should ease the cramping so I’ll try that I reckon.

I bet you can’t wait for the scan! I have everything crossed for you and so look forward to hearing all about it on the 15th. How are you feeling in general? x

Holskey · 02/12/2021 20:32

Congratulations on your scan @RiverRiot. The 12 week scan in my last pregnancy was the one that made me cry. It was a real highlight. It's the first time you see an actual undeniable baby, your baby, with little baby movements 🥰

I'm surprised they stuck with your EDD though! My IVF dates were completely disregarded at the 12-week scan. Even now, his notes say he was born 35+4 but it was 35 weeks exactly.

I'm 9+2 and my 12 week scan seems so far away! I'm 12 weeks a few days before Christmas so it might have to be after Christmas. I had to cancel my booking in appointment with the midwife today because my little boy wasn't well 😔 so I hope that doesnt delay it.

Frenchie86 · 02/12/2021 20:41

@RiverRiot ah I bet you did, it’s a very emotional time and such a milestone! Ah ok hopefully the magnesium supplements will help too. Our bodies go through so much! My thyroid levels are off (I have hypothyroidism) and I have an iron deficiency and really I haven’t been pregnant that long. I’m with you on the bloating, in the evenings I look 4-5 months pregnant and I’m desperate to start showing so it feels real.

I’m ok, just a bit nervous. We do have a private harmony scan next week (I’ll be 10+4) and that’s when we found out last time that something wasn’t right (because of the extra nucheal liquid) so I’m super anxious and hoping history doesn’t repeat itself x

JAR1981 · 02/12/2021 23:52

Evening ladies. Welcome and congratulations @Hufflepuff1, I’m sorry for your previous loss. We had a loss last year AT 8 weeks after our first round of IVF so I can understand your anxiety. We just have to take it one day at a time and remember the odds are in our favour. I found Betabase useful for tracking my numbers and doubling time.

@RiverRiot what?! I’d assumed NCT classes were the same cost nationwide. Are you in London? It’s probably because I’m out in the sticks and mine will be in some drafty village hall 😂
Did the sonographer see where your bleeding was coming from in the scan? I had quite a bit of cramping and a sore tum for a day or so after my 12 week scan. I was surprised how hard he pressed.

We had our combined screening results back from the NHS scan today and all very low risk. Another step closer!

RiverRiot · 03/12/2021 09:32

Thank you @Holskey. It definitely does feel a little more real after the scan and knowing the MC rate drops to about 1% now gives a bit more reassurance too.

I think @Etonmess20 is measuring nearly a week ahead and they’ve not changed her dates either. They just said that the IVF ones are more accurate. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m sorry your little boy isn’t well, hope he feels better soon and it doesn’t delay your scan. Will you book a private one if it does?

@Frenchie86 I hope they’re sorting out your thyroid meds and iron levels quickly? I believe Feraglobin is fine to take in pregnancy if the Drs haven’t given you any iron tablets yet.

I’m so sorry you had to go through that last time and can totally imagine it’s pretty nerve wracking waiting for the tests! Do you mind if I ask if it was one of the Trisomies? Obviously you don’t have to answer that at all, it’s just my understanding that they are totally random. My sister has Down’s and my mum was only 26 at the time. This was back in the days with minimal testing so my mum had no idea until she was born.
Obviously age can play a part in that but still, I think it would be statistically so unbelievably shit for it to happen again. I’m keeping everything crossed for you and hope you can breathe a little easier after the scan next week. xx

@JAR1981 Yep the London tax! Even though ours would still be in some run down church hall too. Also, most of them are over 3 days here, like hell am I sitting about with only crap tea and biscuits from 10-6 all bloody weekend and then a further three hours on a week night!

No, the sonographer just said everything was ‘perfect’ but they did keep apologising for being so rough with me, you obviously worry they’re going to hurt the baby but they must know what they’re doing.
They gave us our combined results at the scan too which were actually much lower than my age would suggest so that was nice. I wondered if I might have a slightly higher risk for Down’s with my sister but they said it’s not hereditary so they don’t factor that in which was interesting.
Do you have a midwife appointment booked in before Xmas?

RiverRiot · 03/12/2021 09:32

OMG another insanely long message. So embarrassing! 🙈

Etonmess20 · 03/12/2021 09:40

@RiverRiot you are correct! I was 5 days ahead at my 12 week scan but they said they'd stick with the IVF dates as they must be correct. Maybe if I'd have pushed they would have bought the date forward but I'd rather stick with the date I have! 17 weeks today & have a private scan tomorrow then my anomaly scan on Christmas Eve so we'll see whether baby is still ahead!

Congratulations on your 12 week scan btw & so glad to hear everything was ok x

Hufflepuff1 · 03/12/2021 10:00

@paintfairy do you mind sending me the Google link if you have that. Just for my own sanity.

Thank you @RiverRiot and @JAR1981 I will take it one day at a time. Good luck to you in your pregnancy 🤞🤞💜

I got my beta result, so yesterday I was 14dp5dt and it was 768. I presume this is ok? Google tells me it's within normal limits for where I am. I've booked another for Monday as Google also told me the main thing is it doubles every 72 hours.

@Frenchie86 I also have hypothyroidism so arranged a blood test to see what my levels. They were ok before I started my fet but I know they can change due to pregnancy. Fingers crossed all is well 🤞💜

FiveDollarShakes · 03/12/2021 10:34

So glad to have found this group!

FiveDollarShakes · 03/12/2021 10:43

I'm pregnant again after my first FET ended in a missed miscarriage at 7 weeks. I'm beside myself with anxiety. I think I'm 4 weeks (FET 19th Nov and last period 3 Nov) and can't believe I've got to wait 2 weeks +for the viability scan.
I had my HCG done which didn't offer me any reassurance. It almost doubled in 48hrs (but it was a actually 44hrs between tests) and so I've opted for no other tests because it wasn't the least bit of comfort. I feel like if I speak to any doctor that's no super confident i spiral into a thought process of "they have doubts, they're hiding bad news from me, it's not going to work!"
I know I'm in good company here, Im genuinely wishing it works for all of us.🤞🤞🤞

I've got cramping, watery cm, on and off sore boobs and feel naceous. I didn't know how I'll get through the next few weeks she the scan itself 😔😔

Frenchie86 · 03/12/2021 10:57

@RiverRiot yes they've adjusted my medicine and prescribed Ferrous as well. which hopefully is ok since they know I'm pregnant? I don't mind at all. No it was trisomy or anything like that (thought we thought it was at the time), the extra fluid was an indication of a heart problem and after further testing it turned out that the baby's left ventricle wasn't developing so we had to terminate as it wasn't compatible with life. They did say it was a 1 in 10 or 100,000 chance so it's unlikely it'll happen again but you know what it's like when you convince yourself something's wrong! That's interesting re your test results, and that they wouldn't be linked to you sister. I'm 35 so hoping there are low risks too, but my cousin has a twin with Down's Syndrom and she had them at 38 so unfortunately you never know.

Thank you for the support xx

AMN3000 · 03/12/2021 11:52

Sorry all for being missing for several days. I am so tired but I can't sleep at night. The Nausea went away so the anxiety has kicked in hardcore. I have caved and got hcg blood tests on my own as my clinic dont do them and will do one tomorrow. Then one monday.

I still don't know when my scan is. They said it would be in weeks 7-8 and that I would hear this week with the date. They have an app so it would appear on that. They said they would chase it wednesday and I still don't have a date. I'm 5+4 today and just want to know when my scan is! Is it 1 or 2 and is everything okay?!?!?!?!?!?!

I wasn't worrying as much when I felt unwell a lot. But now that I feel fine (aside from the tired) I am very worried.

strawberrysummer19 · 03/12/2021 14:56

Hi Everyone !!

Update from my early scan 6+3

All was good! I've hardly any symptoms and don't feel pregnant along with 3+ dropping to 2-3 weeks like @Rachae has said perfectly
Stay clear of keep testing!

I saw the flickering heartbeat and she said all was well. I'm measuring 6+2 but mustnt worry and from what she said and what I've read on here then I won't add that to my list! As this van be normal

Incase it's helpful for anyone to know my measurements which the nurse said were perfect and more importantly I think ' within range ' as everyone is different they are below:

For me my GS was seen straight away with ' baby hiding' and said sometimes it's too early but then found baby. I asked if there was a fetal pole and she said what's more important is the yolk sac, to then she found both so just incase that's helpful for any questions for anyone having early scans coming up

GS 15mm
CRL 0.52mm
YS 3.9mm

Any questions happy to ask

Also happy to provide a pic not that you can see much but I don't want to trigger anyone

AMN3000 · 03/12/2021 15:08

@strawberrysummer19 yay! That is such good news! I am so glad for you. I know you were really worried. Those pesky weeks tests are so unreliable.

Its a relief that you are not having symptoms too and all good. After I posted earlier I read a bunch of people online who had healthy pregnancies and no symptoms this early. So trying to stay calm and optimistic. Hoping in a few weeks I will be super sick and missing these quiet days.

strawberrysummer19 · 03/12/2021 15:12

@AMN3000 omg yes just so reassuring to see what I saw today
I know it's still early days but I have a scan booked at 8wks and another at 9wks!

X

Porridgeislife · 03/12/2021 15:18

Congrats @strawberrysummer19 It’s such a reassuring feeling when you see its little heartbeat flickering away Flowers

@AMN3000 I had zero symptoms (not even fatigue) until late in my seventh week. This time last week I was telling my consultant I was finding it pretty easy Hmm

@Hufflepuff1 over 700 at 14dpt is a great result. When I was at the same stage I found some research that suggested it meant twins! But it’s a really strong number.

My update is that I’m now busy trying not to vomit at 8w 5d & picking up cyclizine from the pharmacy tonight. My diet this week has been beige & mainlining 7Up. It hit me like a bus last weekend.

I have my first NHS antenatal appointment next week. It’s in person which is nice, so hopefully I’ll find out a bit more about it all.

Etonmess20 · 03/12/2021 15:34

@AMN3000 17 weeks here & still no real symptoms for me - I haven't been sick once or even felt sick really. As hard as it is I'd try not to compare with others

Holskey · 03/12/2021 16:08

@strawberrysummer19 oh how lovely! Glad it went well and I would love to see a pic 😍

@AMN3000 honestly, sickness is overrated! Like @Porridgeislife I'm also on meds after worrying about the lack of nutrition and food my baby was getting. My diet is utterly dreadful and not what I'd want to give my baby at all, but at least I'm not starving and dehydrated now I'm on meds. The worst bit is that it doesn't even reassure me that everything is okay and I still worry about miscarriage etc. Before my scans I worried about molar pregnancy and blighted ovum. We just worry no matter what, unfortunately x

Congratulations @FiveDollarShakes! I hope you find some reassurance soon.

@Frenchie86 that must have been absolutely heartbreaking. I'm so sorry 💐

@RiverRiot I'll likely just wait for my scan as long as it's within time for the down syndrome test. I've already had 2 scans and I may have one at 16 weeks for gender. I also had plenty of extra scans in my first pregnancy - I had gestational diabetes and obstetric cholestasis which I'll likely get again so I may end up with a lot of scans anyway!

AMN3000 · 03/12/2021 16:10

@Etonmess20, @Porridgeislife and @strawberrysummer19 thank you so much. That is really reassuring! I really appreciate you sharing.

strawberrysummer19 · 03/12/2021 16:33

@Holskey it's so tiny ! But here it is x
