I'm only 6+2 and super paranoid about absolutely everything. Had my fet on the 28/09, it was our second fet after the first one failed, I had bleeding before I even got to the otd. My scan is this Thursday and it's fair to say I'm bricking it.

Would be nice to chat with some ladies who've done ivf, I have been keeping an eye on the June 2022 thread but sometimes I find I can't relate.

@tulipsandsnow I'm so sorry. I hope it turns out not to be the case. 💐💐 Hugs.

Holskey · 29/11/2021 15:40

@strawberrysummer19 that's a good one you've got there! How lovely of her to take time out of her lunch 😊

I bet you find it hard to read us all complaining that we don't have any?! Oh not at all. I've learnt there's no winning! I'd be worried without symptoms, and with them I still worry that every bit of gas is the end, especially as I've not been eating and drinking properly. We just worry!

strawberrysummer19 · 29/11/2021 15:55

@Holskey I do feel so lucky to have such a lovely clinic, bearing in mind I changed last minute at our 1st cycle and I'm so glad we did - they picked up on things that the previous clinic didn't and tried to sell us icsi so much the 2nd clinic were very surprised but it just shows to show how different they are.
Just an added bonus when you are going through so much.
I've yet to write my review on my clinic but will do soon - even said regardless of the outcome I am so pleased with them.

Ah I know, I'm sure I'll be the same I would just welcome something but hopefully Friday I'll get some reassurance xx

TheSnufflet · 29/11/2021 16:09

@tulipsandsnow I hope it's not the case and you get a better test tomorrow FlowersFlowersFlowers

@Holskey you're not the only one, I'm starting to feel pretty rough and nauseous all the time! Although I'm only 5+3 so am barely pregnant at the moment...

@strawberrysummer19 that's so good that your clinic will scan you earlier! I'm sure everything will be fine Smile

I'm very excited, I've just got my first scan date - 14th December! I'll be 7+4 by then so hopefully they'll be able to see more at that point?

strawberrysummer19 · 29/11/2021 16:19

@TheSnufflet I know I'm surprised they are doing one but maybe because I sounded so worried! My actual scan is 14th also! How exciting x

JAR1981 · 29/11/2021 16:26

Hi everyone and congrats to the new joiners on your BFPs.

@tulipsandsnow I’m sorry you think it’s a chemical. I had a chemical in August and they suck. Is it possible for you to get a beta to confirm?

@Porridgeislife and others - 100% with you on the feeling like a fraud. I’m 13+2 now and told two of my friends last night. I still feel I have to back it up with ‘for now’ or ‘if it doesn’t go wrong’. It’s so hard - especially after loss. I’m already thinking about when my husband will let me book another scan!

strawberrysummer19 · 29/11/2021 16:38

@JAR1981 there's been a few roughly around this point and still feeling like a fraud - I thought it was me because I'm soo early! 6wks tomorrow.
Is yours because you've not many symptoms?
I thought the feeling would get better after 12 wks scan but I suppose it doesn't really x

tulipsandsnow · 29/11/2021 16:41

Hi guys, thanks for saying you hope it changes etc, but no beta test needed and there's literally no hope. I must have read thousands (not hundreds) of fertility threads and I've seen a least several dozen where the same brand test was getting lighter after a clear positive, and not once did it not turn out to be chemical or ectopic. Plus scientifically its impossible for hcg to be dropping (especially dramatically) and it still be viable, a decent/strong line to a barely there one is not explained by dilution, and test can't be bad batch a ) extremely rare for FRER b) especially when other in box was fine c) control worked. It's 100% a chemical, but thank you for your hope/thoughts x

Holskey · 29/11/2021 17:31

@tulipsandsnow I admire your ability to face it head on and not torture yourself with hopes of miracles. I also agree that it's better to know your embryo tried to implant (I'd want to know too) though I guess that's no consolation. I'm sorry for your loss xx

tulipsandsnow · 29/11/2021 18:54

Thanks @Holskey I appreciate that! To me hope isn't actually useful, other than needing enough to keep trying at all, which I do have enough of to do that.

I did test again just now so that it would be easier to explain that it is for sure not viable to my family when I update them tonight- stark white negative. Went from good, clear line to stark white in 36 hours. My uterus yeeted a perfectly good euploid.

JAR1981 · 29/11/2021 19:06

@tulipsandsnow I’m sorry. I hope you can have a consultation with your clinic quickly and see what they would recommend for next time. When I had my chemical in August I was glad to know that it had tried to implant and my consultant thought it was a good sign that I was receptive. Not sure if it’s helpful but she told me that usually when this happens they think it’s down to the mitochondria/energy in the cells.

@strawberrysummer19 yeah I think not having many symptoms made me feel like something had gone wrong and each scan I’d get a huge surprise everything still looked great. Unfortunately though in my case I think it’s just that after 4.5 years, 3 rounds of IVF and 5 embryos transferred I am just always expecting bad news. So this is my brains way of preparing for that. Relaxing into the good news is something very alien to me. Although long may it continue!

HopeSpringsEternal123 · 29/11/2021 19:39

@strawberrysummer19 Good idea booking in the scan - anything to make you feel reassured Smile I have booked in a blood test for tomorrow as they don’t give them normally but I said I was feeling anxious so they are doing it! I also have a scan booked on 6+2. My sister in law had a scan around then and she was at least able to see the yolk sac so even that can be a reassurance xx

HopeSpringsEternal123 · 29/11/2021 19:40

@tulipsandsnow I am so, so, sorry. Sending you a big hug xx

strawberrysummer19 · 29/11/2021 20:36

@HopeSpringsEternal123 yes exactly anything for some reassurance! I saw a heart beat at 6+4 so you never know
But I'll just be happy with everything progressing xx

RiverRiot · 29/11/2021 21:32

@Porridgeislife Yep I’m also 100% with you on this. Even at the scans I felt like I was looking at someone else’s baby. Confused Like Jar I’m still saying things like “If the scan goes ok on Thurs” etc. I said to the nurse at my combined bloods last week that it still doesn’t feel real and she said it’s quite common with IVF so that made me feel a bit better. I thinks it’s self preservation for us all after such a hard slog to get there.

Oh yay @becarefuloutthere so nice to see you here! I’ve thought about you too on occasion as you’re the first of us Guys lot to get pregnant and cos I think my original due date was about 2weeks behind yours (it would have been 2nd March) so I’ve often hoped you’re getting on OK.
Oh a girl how exciting - I guess Romeo is definitely out as a name then?! 😂
Sorry to hear about the pain but happy you’re in your new pad, hope you get all settled in before the little lady arrives.

@LemonyT OMG, heavily pregnant weight lifting?! Err that is a hard pass from me! 😱 Aww cute gifts, what’s not to love about a bit of Christmas cheesiness eh?

Yay to all of the scans booked in as well ladies, hope it gives you all some much needed reassurance and a little boost before Christmas.

@tulipsandsnow I think we’ve been speaking on another thread about genetic testing and I’m so very sorry this is happening! As @JAR1981 said, medically speaking I think clinics see chemicals as a ‘good sign’ that - although I know it does not feel like that right now! - as it shows you can get pregnant.
I remember you saying also you were worried about a potential miscarriage and if this is a chemical I promise you will get through this. Sending you lots of love. 💜

paintfairy · 29/11/2021 21:55

@tulipsandsnow I'm really sorry. I suppose at least you know for sure and it's not being dragged out. But what a crap thing to have to deal with. 😔
@TheSnufflet mine is on the 14th too. 🤣

Tinyhappypeople · 29/11/2021 22:09

Today was my actual test day- hcg 348 at 11dp5dt. Feels totally surreal, even though I’ve known a few days. Although it’s been my entire focus for most of this year, my brain suddenly can’t compute the outcome at all. I felt like I needed to say it out loud earlier as it didn’t feel real, so I told my pet sugar gliders all about it (they weren’t impressed to be woken up) 😂🙈.

strawberrysummer19 · 30/11/2021 08:57

@Tinyhappypeople congratulations officially 🎊

becarefuloutthere · 30/11/2021 09:37

@RiverRiot you're a sweetheart thank you 😊 any other successes from our bus? I must go find the thread! Haha defo won't be called Romeo nope, could go Juliet tho couldn't we 😂 aw thanks so much hun! How far along are you now? Will you find out what you're having?
@Tinyhappypeople yay congrats 🎉

Holskey · 30/11/2021 10:07

Congratulations on your lovely hcg level @Tinyhappypeople! 🥳 (Am I the only person who didn't know what a sugar glider was?! No need to help me: I googled it.)

paintfairy · 30/11/2021 10:25

@Tinyhappypeople congratulations! 🥳
@Holskey off to Google sugar glider...... 🤣

becarefuloutthere · 30/11/2021 10:46

@Holskey I also didn't know what one was, still don't as haven't googled it yet lol @paintfairy help a sister out will ya and enlighten me 😜 (and hopefully others as lazy as me not to google it) 😂

Tinyhappypeople · 30/11/2021 10:51

Here they are 💕 (no one has ever heard of them until I explain!).

Any ivf pregnancies ?
Any ivf pregnancies ?
paintfairy · 30/11/2021 10:51

@becarefuloutthere I actually did know what one was, once I googled it! 🤣 Like a Bush baby that can jump and glide. Kind of. 🤣 Never knew you could have them as pets.

Porridgeislife · 30/11/2021 10:53

Is a sugar glider like a possum?

@Tinyhappypeople congrats on your HCG, that’s a lovely strong number.

I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling like a bit of a fraud at being pregnant. Even though I’m starting to feel quite sick - my dinner came up last night Hmm - I keep telling myself that plenty of people have missed miscarriages whilst their symptoms continue Hmm I just can’t relent and be happy that I’m finally pregnant.
