Any ivf pregnancies ?

I'm only 6+2 and super paranoid about absolutely everything. Had my fet on the 28/09, it was our second fet after the first one failed, I had bleeding before I even got to the otd. My scan is this Thursday and it's fair to say I'm bricking it.

Would be nice to chat with some ladies who've done ivf, I have been keeping an eye on the June 2022 thread but sometimes I find I can't relate.

@paintfairy I'll think I'll stick to pregnacare then in that case. Can't be too careful.
I feel ok, sometimes dry mouth and tiredness but nothing major. The odd twinge and ache and I'm still bloated. But since eating more fibre that has helped me go to the toilet so that's definitely helped!!

@LemonyT thank you :) sorry you're feeling a bit sicky, I find cream crackers help, but my sickness is nowhere near as bad as last time x

Glad your second one went better @Holskey! I agree there’s much more to see at 8 weeks. My 6+5 looked like a bit like shrimp and my 8+5 looked much more like a baby, albeit with a rather strange resemblance to a gummy bear! 😂 Hope you’re feeling better on your meds?

Welcome to all the new ladies too! I’ve been taking omega 3 on and off - I thought it was just cod liver oil you had to be careful of. 😬

So...I'm going to be that person that asks about sex.....maybe TMI topic so I do apologise?

We spent so much time having sex before ivf and after our failed one in June didn't realise how much I missed it! When DTD ended up feeling like a chore almost when trying to do it so much in the window !! To then have nothing - so since finding out we are pregnant - dare I ask - when is safe to have sex or even to orgasm ?!

I didn't think I'd miss is but as I have enjoyment pleasuring oh - I do quite miss it.

Anyone else? 😬😬😬

I take the pregnacare type. I think you just need to be confident there's no liver oil in there because liver has a lot of vitamin a, and too much is bad for the baby.

@TheSnufflet I have that permanently open in a tab on my phone. 4.7 is today's risk! I remember the 20+ days well.

@Frenchie86 I hope your scan goes (has gone?) well. I found with my first pregnancy that I didn't relax until maybe 30 weeks... and then I had to begin being induced at 34+3!

@LemonyT Ah, you were hoping for a bit of nausea so I guess that's good! Mine's eased off a little, thankfully just before my scan so it hasn't caused me panic - probably the meds working. I'm impressed you're exercising! I'm just embracing the unfitness!

@strawberrysummer19 I think it's perfectly safe, but I must admit, I haven't tried it yet 😳 I'm in a 'due July 2022' Facebook group and a couple of ladies have mentioned spotting after sex. I just don't want that. I'll wait until 2nd trimester I think! Overly cautious I'm sure any doctor would say, but 🤷‍♀️

@Holskey it went well thank you! All looking ok so far, just can't let myself relax yet, but once we've passed the 13 week mark, when we lost our last baby, or even the 10 week one, when we found out something was wrong, then it'll feel a bit better. Or maybe it'll be 30 weeks like you hehe, must've been stressful being induced!

@strawberrysummer19 Oh I completely sympathise, I was the same, I managed to only test 3 times, and the wait until the first scan seemed endless. Just distract yourself as much as you can (easier said than done). I saw a lot of friends, went to the cinema etc. x

@Frenchie86 I'm so glad your scan went well 🥰 I tested 3 times too. I actually thought that was overkill. Once to find out, once on official test date, and the third because I wanted to see the words on the digital 😂 I would only obsess over line progression if I tested more than that.

@CycleGirl20 I recruit people from the ivf/fet thread when they get bfps so we all have a place to worry and obsess together!

@strawberrysummer19 we didn't dtd the whole way through IVF. I just didn't feel like it. The break was also good. But last weekend we did. Friday i didn't orgasm as I felt it might be bad (even though they say it's OK). Saturday i decided I couldn't wait and so did. 🤣 But that's the only time I have so far. I think as long as you don't do it like every day? I don't know. Its meant to be safe but I just feel its risky so I'll be rationing. 🤣

@paintfairy yeah we didn't the whole way through ivf and did enjoy the break but as last time we didn't get this far, we enjoyed getting back to it. And more so not thinking about timings and ovulation ! We could just completely relax!
But this time I suppose it's been quite a long time now so just been sorting other half out! But then he was like surely it's ok if we don't have sex but I can still orgasm? So when I googled it I just got confused
I think my gut feeling is saying no
It's not no much the sex, just the closeness and if I orgasm is it bad.
But like you say it's not worth the risks I know!!

@strawberrysummer19 I think it's actually fine. Its just that when you've gone to so much trouble to get here, it's scary, and you don't want to upset anything. I think dtd is fine (unless he's hung like a donkey) as long as you don't be too rough? (More for peace of mind). Orgasm causes uterus contractions, which was my worry with that. But again, they say it's ok. If you get any spotting though, don't do it.

I know your right, but like you say it's not worth the risk is it. I'm still scared to dtd. Hahah no he isn't, just the right size !!!

@paintfairy & @strawberrysummer19 we've not dtd since just before EC because at first I was worried i might get pregnant with 17 babies if I ovulated early. Then I almost got OHSS. Since then my foof has been full of clunks of progesterone and I threw away the leaflet so not sure if it's the kind that can go in the other hole 😅

@CycleGirl20 cyclogest can. Utrogestan can't. And I just don't put it in at night straight away, if I think I'm in luck. 🤣

First thing I'm worrying about, how dark were people's lines at 9/10dp5dt? My blastocyst was a 1bb/slow burner but my line is super dark si no now I'm wondering if it's twins! That'd be a handful and if it is I'm glad I didn't get s double transfer!!

@CycleGirl20 My FRER line was a little darker than the control line at the same stage, so a bit stronger than the picture above.

I’m very confident I’m not having twins as we only transferred one. My HCG levels at 11d, 14d and 16d were on the higher side.

Apparently girl embryos have stronger HCG levels so we’ll see.
