Anyone else 5 weeks pregnant?

I got a lovely dye stealer this morning and I am so chuffed! After a CP in July, seeing that beautiful first line so dark is giving me great hope.

Anyone else 5 weeks? How are you feeling?

I had sore nipples in the beginning but not now only thing I have is really tired! Other than that nothing. Didn't have symptoms really before I had the scan on Monday. Waiting game again really xx

The sore and huge boobs are real! Don't remember this with my first but wow, even just gently touching them 😂

We have had an interesting weekend! No hot water or heating in our house so we've been living in hotels, not ideal with a 1 year old. How have your weekends been? How are the symptoms?

Been a busy weekend here. Spent 7 hours studying yesterday, much to dh delight lol it's good to give him a taste of sahm life sometimes! Today we went to watch my nephews football match then went out for dinner. Was feeling sooo sick and queasy this morning. Am still feeling totally stuffed now. We ate 4 hours ago!! However the kids are totally worn out. Ds was bathed and fast asleep by 5.30. Dd has just gone up now!

So we have a nice quiet evening planned watch a movie with some snacks.. later lol 🤢

My boobs are huge and feel tender and nipples are very sore. Do you fine you poke them to check they still hurt?? Haha I feel tired, breathless, not sure If thats a normal one or just because I always hover around super aneamic levels! My skin is really dry to. I know ive not been drinking enough but it's hard to when you feel queasy.

@Snoopy28x Not yet! The agency don't even know that it's urgent. The contractor came out yesterday and we need a brand new circuit board - which could take some time to arrive because of Brexit etc 🥺 I really hope it's not long. Staying in a hotel is lovely but not long term!

Awww I hope the studying went well? 7 hours! Go mama, that's great 🥰 How did your DH get on? At least the darlings are down and you can focus on getting settled and relaxing. Are you watching anything nice?

Yes!! Always poking the chest 😂 I don't think that will ever stop. My skin is soooo dry as well! I blame the weather too. Roll on our pregnancy "glow up" 😜

@babyboybluex are you sure there's such thing as pregnancy "glow" 😂😂😂😂 sure it must be a myth xx

I hear you on the boob front @babyboybluex getting bigger and sore to touch! Even when I’m walking I can feel them just hurting! Enjoying the growth though from my usual pancakes lol!! Early scan for me tomorrow, preparing for the worst but absolutely praying for a positive outcome, so scared! I feel my symptoms have picked up this week so I’m trying to take that as a good thing but don’t want to get ahead of myself! No glow up here just yet 🤣 puffy and tired haha. Have you had much sickness ?

@charlotte0808 hope your scan goes ok Thursday! Spotting of any kind is a worry but it is common so just keep positive. I’ve got everything crossed for you xx

@Blondiebrownie6 I hope your scan goes well tomorrow! It's very nerve wracking isnt it xx also enjoying the boob growth here! After 5 pregnancies mine are heading in the wrong direction 😂 so enjoying the fullness! Xx

Pregnancy glow! Who ever made that up is having a laugh. Is the glow really just beads of sweat as you try not to puke up!

That’s made me LoL @Snoopy28x 🤣 I’ve always said getting pregnant is my only hope of ever having boobs! All the women in my family….massive! Me….nothing! Thanks for your kind words! Why even after having something to eat, do I feel starving but also queasy!? I have round ready Salted pringles quite good when I feel sick.

Thanks so much @Snoopy28x it’s been an emotional morning…but…..everything was perfect at my scan!! They put me a day ahead so 7+6 today. I’ve attached a photo but I’ve no idea what I’m looking at 🤣 it was such a great feeling to see that wee heartbeat flickering away on the screen.

Ive just been shopping for a few bits. Honestly I'm gonna start online shopping. The raw meat aisle 🤢 took all my powers not to vomit at the sheer sight of it. Quickly grabbed what I needed and ran lol!! I remember with ds I couldn't stand the smell of cooking meat. It smelt rancid to me. But the smell doesnt seem to affect me this time it's the sight of it! Been feeling so queasy all morning. I eat and it stops for a few mins then straight back.

So I have finally registered for the midwife, as I realised I'll be 8 weeks on thursday, need to get the ball rolling lol seems strangely more real now..!! So I'll see when I get my booking appointment x

@Lemonadee Haha I remember with my first during the second trimester I was told I had the glow and did in fact feel good! Not sure it's going that way with this babe though...

@Blondiebrownie6 Just so chuffed for you! I've got increased sickness today but not being sick - I feel like I could be sick though. It's a good sign but not fun. How are you feeling? You must be on cloud nine!

Defos online shopping for you @Snoopy28x lol! I’ve still enjoyed a shop so far. I’m getting ready salted Pringles on my list for this week haha my taste buds are going! Same as you, eating eases the sickness then it’s back again!

@babyboybluex Defos cloud 9 keep looking at the wee pics and just feel so relieved! Maybe it’s really going to happen this time! Yer I’d say that’s a good sign, almost some comfort in feeling like crap isn’t there lol. I’ve been similar with constant waves, only been sick once though but the rest just a feeling and some gagging lol. Tired and feel I have less energy , normally quite active but it’s had to take a backseat. I’ll take it all as long as this ones ok though :) xx

I have my early scan on Wednesday, went to see the midwife today for my booking in appointment and she called EPU to see if they will scan me as I'm still bleeding a little.
If you have an early scan does that mean you don't have one at 12 weeks?

After getting in from my appointment today I had a full on emotional meltdown. It just all feels so scary and overwhelming. Does anyone else feel like this?

@Lemonadee so sorry your feeling like this. Your hormones are all over the shop right now, plus it's a big life changer and I think that first appointment makes it suddenly feel real doesnt it?

How are you feeling about it all? I remember feeling the same with my first.. all of my pregnancies actually. That sudden realisation of wow this is really happening.

So glad you are getting a scan! Ill be honest it’s a horribly nerve wracking moment and I honestly went in with fear but it’s a must especially if you have concerns/worries. Yup you still get your 12 week scan even with an early one. The early ones before 12wks are usually carried out at EPU whereas 12 wk up takes place on a maternity ward/unit (it is up my way but may differ elsewhere) either way you’ll get both :) do let us know how you get on.

It almost feels like a ‘this is it moment’ , I would say your feelings are very normal. It’s tough , mixed with hormones to you’ll be feeling all sorts. just hang on in there xx
