Anyone else 5 weeks pregnant?

I got a lovely dye stealer this morning and I am so chuffed! After a CP in July, seeing that beautiful first line so dark is giving me great hope.

Anyone else 5 weeks? How are you feeling?

Shit is getting real today, called the midwife and have my dates for the blood test (end of Oct) and scan (mid- November). Eek!

@charlotte0808 I know, had loads of cramping last night that freaked me
Out but it’s eased again today! Yea Defos get the private scan booked in, it will ease your mind and it’s a milestone to work towards :)

@Snoopy28x oh no that’s rubbish! You’ll be absolutely shattered ! Yes, I’m straight in the fridge as soon as I wake up as I need to eat straight away to ease the sicky feeling. No actual sickness still just the waves of feeling like it! Bread and cheese and seems to be my go to, so that’s great haha! I slept on my side most of the night and my boob this morning was I’m agony!! They are certainly ramping up!

@Hyggeandhugs congrats! I still feel like that with expecting my period. I’m 7 wks today and the cramps seem to be on and off all the time! I try and reassure myself one second then panic the next lol! My hunger is constant , just need to eat all the time! I’ve had no major cravings really apart from carby stuff and the thought of a salad is not appealing lol! I’m usually quite healthy but I feel it’s slipping ! Xx

@blondiebrownie6 I have a pack of belvita oat breakfast biscuits next to my bed for that exact reason- soon as I wake up, must eat!

Oooo good shout @Tofu35, I’ll add them to my list to get! When I wake up to go to the toilet in the night I’m always starving then to but try to ignore it but if I have something like that I can satisfy the hunger at all times lol xx

@Blondiebrownie6 yeah completely rollercoaster of emotions when I first found out and the same for my partner too but now it's sank in we're slowly starting to get excited. Ive had to tell a few managers at work unfortunately due to the nature of my work I can't do certain tasks. But other than that I am planning on keeping it hush hush until at least 12 weeks.

At what point do you have your first appointments I rang the GP the day after I found out and had to refer myself through myperganancynotes I haven't heard anything back yet though. Anyone had to go through this route?

Also interested to know if anyone's having any rather strange symptoms? It's a weird one but I have such strong affectionate feelings towards my partner at the moment 🤣 I can't get enough of him it's bizarre! Sure this will wear off pretty quickly the longer the nausea continues and the bigger and more tired I get 🤣

@Lemonadee now see with my first.. I couldnt get enough!! All the way through. With ds I was a bit like that to start then wasnt fussed, got to non existent point at the end. However I was absolutely massive with him so the logistics were tricky lol this time if i had had some sleep in the last few weeks I would be right up for it 😂😂😂 we are both to knackered xx

I am personally waiting for that pregnancy glow that is always mentioned. Right now my skin feels dry, my hands are all cracked and sore. I just like exhausted lol!!

I don't know if anyone else has this, but now all sweet fruit (apples, all berries) taste AWFUL. Like they have all went bad. I asked my husband to try an apple because we just bought them today, and he started laughing because it was really sweet. So that's another fun symptom starting!

@Tofu35 lol and the treats just keep on coming hey! It's so weird the effects it has on us isnt it??

Do you get really bloated by the end of the day? Also if I eat lunch I feel uncomfortably stuffed for hours.

@snoopy28x ooh bloating, that sounds like one I can look forward to! Feel really full after dinner, so now I'm having smaller portions and then just snacking more later on in the evening.

@Lemonadee that’s good your starting to get excited :) I just want my scan out the way Monday and then I’ll start to get excited I hope. Had an awful dream last night about the scan and Woke in a fright 😩 but then I woke up earlier gagging and heaving so there must pregnancy hormones going about lol. Yer I’ve told my boss to but trying to hold back on others until I know more.

With my GP; they give you a central number for the midwife team where you can refer at 6 weeks. They then assign you a midwife but last time took about a week before I heard, I called them yday again and they said they’d get someone to ring me after my scan Monday :/ felt a bit rubbish but I get it. They usually then have a face to face booking appointment at 8-10 wks and then get scan date after that. Every region is different :)

lol re the feeling towards partner , I’m waiting for the to happen 🤣 we’ve not DTD since I got my positive as I’m too scared it will do something haha. Yes @Snoopy28x Defos feeling the bloat to, I just feel puffy everywhere. There’s no way I can wear my jeans all day and feel comfortable !! Xx

My super sonic sense or smell has gone into over drive today!!!! I'm hunting round the house for a rancid smell! No one else can tell. I've had to put the bin outside incase it's that hahaha

My boobs are super tender and it doesn't help when my 15-month old jumps all over me Some nausea but it's not that bad and the tiredness is real come 3pm! Counting down the days until our 12 week scan. Hope everyone is well x

@babyboybluex yeah my boobs are super sore to. My ds and dd for that matter use me as a climbing frame lol xx

Sooo tired today! I cant do anything! I made myself walk to pick dd up from school rather than be lazy and take the car. I could actually shut my eyes! We promised the kids we would have a movie night tonight. I think I might be snoring in the corner before it starts lol

Are you all feeling the tiredness to?? Also I feel breathless, like just doing simple things I'm out of breath. Walking upstairs nearly finishes me off.

Wow!! Snap! have you got any appointments yet? I havent actually booked in yet. After my previous mc's I thought I'd just wait a little and see how it goes as not to jinxed myself x

Exhausted here too! Almost 7 weeks. Early scan tomorrow.

I wake up at 2:30am feeling sick then can’t go back to sleep. Sickness wears off in time for school run but the 20min walk there and back wipes me out for the day. I usually have a nap 10-11am then either lie down or potter about doing housework. DH is having to do afternoon school runs as the sickness is back by 2pm!

Anyone else finds the nausea/vomiting hits at the same time(s) each day?

@FateHasRedesignedMost oh that sounds hideous!! I have nausea in the mornings and if I havent eaten for a while. I did get out of the car earlier and nearly vomit. It just suddenly came over me. I get tired at the same sort of time 2pm. Which is then around school run time. Not ideal lol

Telling my mum tomorrow, we have to have her round for lunch as my queasiness gets worse in the car 🤢 it's a bit early but it will be good to have her support!

@Snoopy28x Yeah! I had an early scan on Tuesday (I posted a photo in here)! Saw the heartbeat which was lovely. My first midwife appointment is the 19th of October so I'll be about 10ish weeks then the 12 week scan is the 5th of November... remember remember 🤞🏼

When do you think you'll ring? I think you'll be absolutely fine! How has the film and Chinese gone down? x
