I got a lovely dye stealer this morning and I am so chuffed! After a CP in July, seeing that beautiful first line so dark is giving me great hope.

Anyone else 5 weeks? How are you feeling? Flowers

I’ve finally got my booking in app and scan sorted!

Had a rough week with sickness and waking at 2am to be sick, but feeling a bit better tonight, just very tired.

charlotte0808 · 22/10/2021 18:17

Maybe be nothing but I'm nearly 10 weeks and had jelly like discharge more so like fertile discharge during ovulation had it twice in the past week or so I'm worries it's mucus plug or is that ridiculous thinking? Anyone has this? X

Snoopy28x · 22/10/2021 18:42

@charlotte0808 I've had an increase in discharge this week. So must be normal?? Xx

charlotte0808 · 22/10/2021 18:59

Are you 10 weeks too @Snoopy28x ? I'm trying to forget about it all but so hard isn't it. Looking every time I wipe its like I'm looking for trouble x

Snoopy28x · 22/10/2021 19:05

@charlotte0808 yeah 10+1. Yes it's so worrying. Ive had mild back pains today to. I've had very light brown discharge today which is worrying me. As I've had no bleeding I'm thinking its one of those things xx

charlotte0808 · 22/10/2021 19:10

I had all types of spotting for 2 weeks at 6-8 weeks pink red brown worrying but haven't had that since x

Blondiebrownie6 · 22/10/2021 20:01

Yay , congrats @Snoopy28x that’s a relief for you!! Are in you in for a quiet weekend ? Yes hopefully the spotting is just wee one getting comfy in there :)

@charlotte0808 I had a jelly like discharge the other day and thought the exact same but everything was fine at my scan. Same as Snoopy I’ve had increased discharge overall, it’s been for this this past few weeks , I’m 10+3/4 so I think it’s normally at this stage so you should be fine :) if you see it again maybe message your midwife and see what they say?

@MadamMaltesers you are still quite early and they do Defos come and go so try not to panic :) I didn’t really notice anything until 6 weeks and even with that they have been on and off. I get how you feel though , it’s a very anxious time and horrible not knowing what’s going on in there.

Haha @AR21 that’s funny! A good tip though, I thought I was through it but have felt queasy again since about 3pm today, it’s such a weird feeling! I’ve just tried to mix up dinner a bit and I really shouldn’t have! Back to bread, cheese and tomato soup for me lol x

Snoopy28x · 22/10/2021 20:12

@Blondiebrownie6 hopefully quiet weekend. However its half term next week so I'll have to try and entertain the kids all week 😬 otherwise they will be scrapping lol

Yeah I wondered if it's because I've started taking the aspirin? Because it thins your blood maybe it makes things more sensitive?! Dunno just wishful thinking lol xx

charlotte0808 · 22/10/2021 20:22

@Blondiebrownie6 did you have it a few days or just once? I've had a small amount again x

Blondiebrownie6 · 22/10/2021 22:16

Oh yes forgot it’s school holidays @Snoopy28x , a wild week ahead for you lol! You’re probs right actually , the aspirin could be doing just that and would make sense as your bloods thinned! All you can do is keep an eye and flag to your midwife if gets worse?

@charlotte0808 i had it just the once in the morning earlier this week, more jelly consistency then returned to more milky although thicker as times (sorry for the detail) tbf I haven’t heard of that and it going on to cause problems this early but I’m
Defos no expert and did have the exact same thoughts initially so maybe call your midwife and just have a chat to put your mind at rest? Have you had lots? Xx

charlotte0808 · 22/10/2021 22:20

I've booked private van for Monday now got my 12 week scan 9th November can't wait that long! Not really no I had it few days ago then again today maybe I am overthinking it but going to put my mind at rest with the scan on Monday x

MadamMaltesers · 22/10/2021 23:02

@AR21 and @Blondiebrownie6 thank u so much its exactly what i wanted to hear. The anxiety was on another level! As long as theres no bleeding or cramping i shouldnt get too worked up. Hope everyones pregnancy is going smoothly

Snoopy28x · 23/10/2021 16:57

@Blondiebrownie6 well no further issue with the discharge. So will keep an eye on it.

I have been feeling bleugh today. I have this constant queasy feeling all day. I eat I feel sick and bloated and stuffed. Dont eat I feel sick and hungry. Cant win!!! I am so so bloated tonight. Look 6 months gone!! Anyone else having this?? X

FateHasRedesignedMost · 23/10/2021 17:14

With you on the constant queasiness. Eating either makes me feel better or I throw it all up. Even with ondansetron and metaclopramide!

I keep having weird cravings but feel too sick to actually prep food so poor DH has to do it. He’s just kindly gone to the fish and chip shop as I nearly vomited trying to get fish in breadcrumbs out of the freezer 😳

I try to nap as much as possible (in between being woken by 6 year old) to ride out the worst of the sickness.

Snoopy28x · 23/10/2021 17:38

@FateHasRedesignedMost my ds Hasnt been sleeping great the last few days. So I've had proper broken sleep all night. I dont think that's helping the sick feeling. He has never been a great sleeper but hes been up 5 or 6 times sneaking into bed with us, then thrashing about until we take him back to his bed. Then an hour later.. repeat. Almost went and squashed in his cot bed and left him in mine 😂😂

Oh bless you that does sound awful! I had a sudden craving for tacos! Was amazing. Now super uncomfortable and stuffed!! Cant win lol xx

Blondiebrownie6 · 23/10/2021 20:58

No worries @MadamMaltesers, it’s a very anxious time so I get your worries. Will you consider an early scan to put your mind at rest?

@charlotte0808 with you on the early scan, exactly why I booked one the other day, couldn’t wait until 12wk one and knew it was the only way to settle my mind and ease the anxiety. Good luck at your scan and keep us posted how you get on :)

@Snoopy28x glad no more issues for you! I also felt bleugh today, I text my friend earlier today saying I couldn’t decide if I wanted to throw up, sleep , cry or eat 😂 I opted for eating to ease the sickness feeling then fell asleep for a few hours! I’m so so tired today! I really wanted a chippy so ate my body weight in chips and now it’s repeating on me but the sickness has vanished so chips are the answer lol, I just feel heavy! X

charlotte0808 · 23/10/2021 21:00

@Blondiebrownie6 thank you I wish I could be excited to see baby on screen but don't think I ever will. I had a scan at 7 weeks too all was well so fingers crossed still ok I shall keep you updated x

Blondiebrownie6 · 23/10/2021 22:03

Well @charlotte0808 I hope this scan feels a little more real for you

MadamMaltesers · 24/10/2021 03:38

@Blondiebrownie6 yes hopefully looking to have one around 7 weeks when i know for sure there should be something...its about a week away.

AR21 · 24/10/2021 07:39

@Blondiebrownie6 how are you feeling now? It’s so weird how it comes and goes and one day a food is fine and the next, horrific. I have completely gone off sweet things even though before pregnancy I was a chocoholic! I am also not loving anything cooked at the moment… raw veg it is!

@MadamMaltesers the first scan is exciting! I was so worried before mine and was absolutely convinced everything was going wrong but it was all fine. I have booked another for next week as a 10 week reassurance before the NHS scan in week 12.

At the moment the only people who know about my pregnancy are my partner and our respective bosses. It is SO hard to keep it a secret from friends and family but I am so worried about saying something and then something going wrong. Is anyone else finding that bit really hard? Xx

Snoopy28x · 24/10/2021 09:07

@ar21 yes I'm finding that hard. Me and my sister are super close and she has been through my mc with me. However this time I sort of wanted it to be a nice 12 week surprise if all is well. If that makes sense. My best friend is currently pregnant. We were pregnant at the same time earlier this year then I mc. So this time again I want to wait to tell her, I know she didnt 5talk about her pregnancy so much to me after. My parents aren't together anymore but I tend to wait until the scan for them to. I've been invited for a few nights out in late nov.. so trying to just delay a decision until the scan then I can say xx

Tofu35 · 24/10/2021 09:08

@AR21 I snapped and told a group of friends last week because I had cancelled on them a few times last month (nausea meaning leaving the house is a struggle). It was funny though because one of the group had also told us early when she was pregnant- we had gone out for cocktails and she "couldn't keep up the lie" when we tried to start a kitty.

Waiting until my 12 week scan to tell my boss!

Blondiebrownie6 · 24/10/2021 09:30

Not too long to wait then @MadamMaltesers it will come round soon enough.

@AR21 yes it’s really strange isn’t it, I was feeling more ‘normal’ earlier this week but the past few days I feel off again. The tiredness is the main thing this week, I just can’t stop yawning from the moment I open my eyes lol. Haha I’m the same with chocolate, would eat it constant before whereas not as fussed now but loving salty food instead! Although I’m enjoying sweet and salty popcorn!

Same as others, I’ve told a few close friends as they’ve known about fertility treatment I’d been having and my boss knows as I’d been off for appts. I’ve not told my family as we live apart but I go to visit them just after my 12wk scan so I plan to tell them
Face to face. It’s been Hard not telling my mum but will be more special face to face. Also after MC before I just didn’t want to get their hopes again to disappoint them if something went wrong so just keeping the news back for the min. It’s bloody hard though! I feel you!! How do you plan to tell them? Will you do it after your 12wk scan? Xx

AR21 · 24/10/2021 12:46

@Blondiebrownie6 salty food is a definite and wheatabix weirdly enough!

Re telling them, we are going to try and keep it a secret till week 14 as we have a few other bits going on before then and then hit them with it. The pregnancy will thrill them but I think the biggest shock will be following that up with ‘and there’s two of them’ as twins don’t run in our family haha. We are going to try and wait till Christmas to tell others however I am not sure if I will be able to hide it that long as I am told I will start showing early! How are you going to tell people?

@Snoopy28x oh I can definitely understand that. My best friend told me she was 4 weeks pregnant 2 weeks before I found out I was - I kept it a secret as I was worried something might happen with mine and she would feel awkward but then tragically she had an mc at 8 weeks. I have no idea now how to tell her about mine as whilst I know she will be pleased for me, I also know it will upset her. Do you wish your friend had told you more about hers?

@Tofu35 the white lies are almost impossible to keep up! I’m so glad I’ll be able to tell the family before Christmas as there is no way they would have believed I had suddenly gone off soft cheeses haha!

Snoopy28x · 24/10/2021 14:17

@AR21 oh yes I definitely wish she did. I reassured her that I was still so happy for her. She had her own struggles to, so I'm so excited for her. I would tell her and say you didnt want to be insensitive but wanted her to know. I made sure to ask how shes doing etc to make her feel more comfortable talking about it xx
