I got a lovely dye stealer this morning and I am so chuffed! After a CP in July, seeing that beautiful first line so dark is giving me great hope.

Anyone else 5 weeks? How are you feeling? Flowers

Hi guys
I'm 5 weeks today, after my third round of IVF. Very anxious as my symptoms come and go from one day to the next.

How is everyone? Is anyone from the Glasgow area?

X

Tofu35 · 20/10/2021 12:45

Congratulations on your positive @unknownscot! I'm from Glasgow too! Have you called the midwife number yet?

unknownscot · 20/10/2021 12:48

Congratulations on your positive *@unknownscot*! I'm from Glasgow too! Have you called the midwife number yet?
Yeah I have - I have my booking appointment 24 November and then scan on 14 December.

Because I'm an ivf pregnancy I get a scan at 8 weeks through my clinic too

Hey everyone, just thought I'd update you all... I had a hormone check at the EPU today and it's all back to normal so officially discharged from them and given the all clear to try again.
They said when I get pregnant again to call them when I'm 6 weeks and they will bring me in for an early scan.

Signing off this thread for now and going back to TTC.
Thank you for all the kind words and support.
I hope everything goes well for all of you xx

Snoopy28x · 20/10/2021 16:32

Oh @Snoopy28x sounds like you’re going through the wars! Sickness bug on top of pregnancy hormones does not sound fun! Just little and often and super super plan. Hopefully the bugs passes quickly! I’ve been in the spare room sleeping this past week as I’ve been so unsettled with everything and the crazy dreams each night continue !

@Tofu35 and @unknownscot I’m also Glasgow :) congrats on your IVF pregnancy! The 8 weeks scan is a massive reassurance! It will be here before you know it!

@Lemonadee sorry to hear how you’re feeling, like others have said your hormones are going crazy just now! Defos speak to your GP or midwife or confide in someone close? Try not to sit on and hold it in. I do think it’s normal to have worries and unexpected thoughts , I know I’ve had a few panics but do reach out if it’s getting you down.

@babyboybluex oh no, I think most people I know with wee ones are battling something just now! It’s scary! It’s not even fully winter yet! Hope you’re doing ok though? How are things progressing ?

I had to step away for a few days as I’d convinced myself something was wrong and I’ve been up to my eyeballs in worry! Had to book a last min private scan to ease my mind and I can’t believe what I saw!! A little baby wriggling around with arms and legs flying about! She couldn’t measure him/her for a few mins as they were jumping so much! My heart is so full, I don’t think I’ve stopped staring at the pics. She said she could see the placenta forming great which is likely why symptoms are easing off now, although they hit me bad yday again! It was very surreal xx

LadyoftheWoods · 21/10/2021 08:01

@Blondiebrownie6aw how wonderful! Congrats! Was she able to say how far along you are? I'm the same, I keep getting worried about something being wrong. This is my third, I never felt anxious for the first two! Think it's cos I'm old Blush I've booked a private scan for next Tuesday which is the day before my booking appointment. I don't want to go through the booking appointment if something isn't right

Snoopy28x · 21/10/2021 08:13

@Blondiebrownie6 oh I've been feeling absolutely horrendous. Poor Dh slept on the sofa. I went to bed at 5 as soon as he got in the door. I was sick every hour until midnight when it finally stopped. Managed to keep water down. Then dd was sick!! So I've kept her off and keeping ds off pre school and all gonna just lay on the sofa!

I have my exam tomorrow morning. I really want to be well enough to get it done. Although havent had the energy for any revision the last 2 days. Hoping to boost myself back up today. Lots of water. Just had some toast.

Oh how exciting that you saw your tiny baby!! I bet that saw such a relief xx

Ha how old are you? I am classed as a geriatric mum 😐 at 40.

Blondiebrownie6 · 21/10/2021 08:54

@LadyoftheWoods yes she was :) this was my 2nd early scan, first at 7wk 6days and last night put me at 10wk 2days (although pic says 10+1) she said the 12wk one will be the most accurate. I can’t believe the worth in 2 wks!! Oh bless you, I think it’s such a nerve wracking time, I think these days as well loss is more openly spoken about by so many people so we maybe think about it more? Not long until your scan and hopefully it puts your mind at rest. How far along will you be? How have you been feeling?

@Snoopy28x I was wondering if you’ve had your exam 😩 is there any way they’ll let you move it to another day , can’t be fair to expect you to do that when you’re so poorly? Take it easy today and fingers crossed your toast stays down! Sounds bloody rotten!

Oh it was such a lovely moment I just can’t believe we’ve made it this far (I know it’s still early but it’s a huge milestone for me) this might finally be happening after so many years of trying! I’ve attached a wee pic to. We bought all the pics taken and downloaded to an app and she must of taken some extra 3D ones for us, kinda freaky lol but amazing to! Xx

@Blondiebrownie6 I know, it's rife in nurseries at the minute! I'm better thankfully and my little ones spots are starting to crust over/go away yay! Thank you for checking in 😘 I swear there are new bugs every week!

Congratulations on your lovely private scan!! That is so exciting 😍 You are on your way to having a beautiful and healthy baby in your arms - so happy for you.

Hope everyone else is doing ok! How are the symptoms? Some of us are approaching 12 weeks right?! xx

babyboybluex · 21/10/2021 09:39

We had a private scan last night and I'm also dating 10+2 weeks (first scan I thought I was 7 weeks but she dated me 6+5) so it's all falling into place! Like you said @Blondiebrownie6 come the 12 week scan we will have a better idea of EDD.

My bladder wasn't completely full so she couldn't get the best shots but I did see a lot of movement in which she said we have an active one!! It is so funny seeing the head and hands at this stage.

It's definitely given me that reassurance kick for the 5th of November!! xx

Thank you for your support ladies. I have taken a few days off work just to try and get some rest. I have a counselling appointment on Monday so I'm going to talk things through with someone.
Congratulations on the scan pictures @Blondiebrownie6 @babyboybluex can't believe how much you can see at 10 weeks

LadyoftheWoods · 21/10/2021 12:43

@Snoopy28x I'm 36 but my youngest is 7 so it feels like I've aged a lot since then! How's the stomach today?

@Blondiebrownie6 @babyboybluex wow! So cool! They look like actual babies already!

@Lemonadee that's great! I'm sure that will help. Definitely a good idea to take some time for yourself

Snoopy28x · 21/10/2021 12:48

@LadyoftheWoods well I've been managing to eat and drink today. Tummy still feels a bit queasy and off but so far so good. Just laid on the sofa all day. The kids are trashing the place 😂🤣 xx

babyboybluex · 21/10/2021 16:08

It is amazing! Has anybody else got a private or NHS scan approaching?

I'm so with you ladies on the tiredness and nausea. Today has been a terrible day, I've literally lay down all day and felt so nausea. My poor toddler is itching for some fun! Mum guilt is real 😥

Hope everyone feels ok soon 🥰

Thankyou! Aww that’s amazing @babyboybluex, I can see wee baby 😍 yes it’s Defos reassurance and not long now until 12wks, mines 4th November eeekk it was later but I needed to bring forward as I’ll be away. Yes there are bugs everywhere just now, it’s rotten! My symptoms have eased a bit , feeling sick comes and goes but it’s mainly the tiredness now, just constantly yawning and want to shut my eyes lol and I feel soooo lazy, can’t wait my energy to come back . Hope you start feeling better soon!

Thanks @LadyoftheWoods I know , crazy how much change there has been in 2 weeks! That’s good @Lemonadee I hope you start to feel more you soon

@Snoopy28x haha just let kids run wild and get OH to deal with! how’s the bug? Hope you get on ok at your exam today! Xx

MadamMaltesers · 22/10/2021 07:41

Hi!

Just need some reassurance ppl, im 5w 4d and my symptoms have sort of disappeared no where near as strong as say last week. Ever since i turned 5w i dont have hardly any and im worried. Did anyone have this and everything was ok? i had a mc at 7 weeks in 2019 and the first thing to happen was my symptoms went awol.

Snoopy28x · 22/10/2021 16:45

Hi ladies, how are you all doing today?

Well by a miracle I passed my exam!! After the week I've had I wasnt expecting it. So now have 2 weeks off and then back to it.

I've had some pink spotting like super super light pink that stopped now just slight brown discharge when I wiped. Hopefully it's just 1 of those things. From what I've read it can just be the baby implanting more. So will see. I still feel queasy today and my tummy just feels all.. squirmy and sick. But I'm on the mend. Xx

AR21 · 22/10/2021 18:02

@MadamMaltesers congratulations!! I had the exact same worries at 5 weeks, I had had a couple of symptoms and then all stopped. They came back with avengeance in the middle of week 6 and my 7 week scan revealed not one but two little heartbeats. So try not to let it panic you too much.

Ladies, my other half bought me some anti sickness travel bands - whilst I hadn’t been sick I was feeling nauseous all the time - they have been a god send and so effective. I would absolutely recommend if you are feeling under the weather, only downside is that I permanently look like I’m off for a game of tennis ha. Xx
