I got a lovely dye stealer this morning and I am so chuffed! After a CP in July, seeing that beautiful first line so dark is giving me great hope.

Anyone else 5 weeks? How are you feeling? Flowers

@Blondiebrownie6 yeah mine are also on and off, but that makes me feel less nervous that it is a normal thing! My boobs are getting bigger! I have the most vivid dreams at night, I wake up and feels like they are real. I also get night sweats! I get cold if sitting about during the day, but at night I'm roasting hot. I have such a short fuse! DH is getting the brunt of it..!

Ive had 2 poorly kids again this weekend 😖 so it's been pretty uneventful and haven't done much! Xx

Snoopy28x · 17/10/2021 13:03

So Tmi.. just had a bowel movement and was straining. Then after there was pink, very light pink on the paper when I wiped. Now I'm freaking out!!

Blondiebrownie6 · 17/10/2021 18:41

Oh no @Snoopy28x that’s a shame your wee ones are ill, so much flying around at the moment! My OH is is ill for 2nd time but I’ve managed to avoid it!

Yer sounds like around this time things calm down for some but still feels very uneasy at times doesn’t it?! Have to try and see it as a positive I guess. Totally vivid dreams here also, they feel very real and are so clear/memorable upon waking!

Could the pink be from your bottom from straining maybe ?? Or maybe the strain has just got things squeezing a bit up front ? All you can do is keep an eye and if you notice more next time then give your midwife a call to see what they advise? Try not to panic though x

Snoopy28x · 17/10/2021 18:48

@Blondiebrownie6 ok so nothing since. And it was like super super light pink. Like barely noticeable. So feeling better about things. Then have 2 poorly over tired kids that is making me think omg.. adding another one haha

The dreams are so odd. I never remember my dreams unless pregnant. So its so bizarre. I feel like because the dreams are so vivid I dont sleep so well. I always feel exhausted. This afternoon had been a struggle. About 3pm I could of actually napped. Dd is in bed.. after alot of tears and tantrums. She had a sick bug yesterday and think shes still wiped out. Ds hasnt napped today so he will be off to bed very soon. Me and dh might watch a movie and have cuddles then early night. I'm shattered.

Well done on avoiding the germs! Theres so much going round. Chicken pox is now also doing the rounds at school. dreading that bad boy! Xx

charlotte0808 · 17/10/2021 20:07

Hey @Snoopy28x I had spotting at 6-8 weeks roughly on and off and the midwife and epu told me it could be from straining causing any blood or old blood to comb from the cervix. Cleared up on it own x

LadyoftheWoods · 17/10/2021 21:14

@Snoopy28x I know what you mean about the dreams! So weird... Sorry about your kids, it's awful when they're ill and you're not 100% yourself. Try not to strain on the loo too much, the last thing you want on top of everything else is a pile!

I'm 6+2 now and definitely feeling some nausea, although it's manageable as long as I eat practically all the time! I've been having some abdominal twinges on and off the last couple of days, sure it's normal but it wouldn't be me if I wasn't panicking about it! I've got a private scan and my booking appointment in half term and literally can't wait! I keep thinking, what if it's all in my head???

Snoopy28x · 18/10/2021 15:28

@LadyoftheWoods thank you x dd is still not herself, she has a sore throat to. She suffers alot with tonsillitis, whenever she gets a cold it then seems to go on her tonsils. Poor thing. Ds is very quiet today to and had a long nap, so think he isnt feeling great either. We are all snuggled on the sofa watching a xmas movie with a duvet. I could quite happily go to bed lol

Do you feel like you arent fully rested?? I keep waking up at 2/3am and cant get back to sleep, my brain switches on and that's it. So I'm exhausted and snappy!

Yes I had all sorts of twinges around then to. I think its everything just stretching and growing. Whens your private scan for?

I'm waiting for my 12 week app to come through. Getting a bit nervous, I have had 3 mc so I sort of dont quite believe things until after the scan. But then also nervous for.. omg I'm actually having a 3rd! Lol xx

LadyoftheWoods · 18/10/2021 19:27

Haha, never too early for a Xmas movie! I'm really tired, yeah. I shouted at dh this morning for no reason and he looked really hurt! My scan is next Tuesday so I'll be 7+4. Hopefully be able to see something by then! I know what you mean, until you see it on the scan, you can't believe it!

Snoopy28x · 19/10/2021 12:59

Afternoon ladies! How are you all doing?

So I've got ny scan date through! 10th Nov. So I'll be 12 weeks 6 days. Seema ages away.

How is everyone feeling?

I thought I was passed the nausea stage but seems to have hit me again today. Cant decide if its queasy sick or queasy hungry lol I'm also so bloated!! Not sure I can hide this bump for another 3 weeks until the scan. We havent told anyone this time round. We did the other times then it just seems harder telling people you've mc. So we are waiting this time. Yet again woke at 3am and couldnt get back to sleep!!

I went to get all my prescriptions lol folic acid, aspirin and iron tablets. I'll be rattling! Xx

Tofu35 · 19/10/2021 13:05

@snoopy28x that is exciting you have your scan date in!

I woke up today and didn't feel nauseous, so I enjoyed an hour in bed feeling normal (a nice change!) but it meant my usual routine to fight nausea went out the window. By lunchtime it has returned and I'm wondering if it's worse because I didn't keep to the usual routine 😱

Snoopy28x · 19/10/2021 15:24

@Tofu35 oh no! Annoying when that happens. I've felt queasy all day. Eating or not eating. I feel so so bloated after lunch I dont even fancy dinner. I am feeling very very uninspired what to make lol x

Tofu35 · 19/10/2021 15:40

@Snoopy28x I'm trying the seasickness bands today, see if it helps me function in meetings! With you on the no appetite thing, a lot of my day is thinking of what foods don't repulse me on any given day.

Snoopy28x · 19/10/2021 15:45

@Tofu35 🤣😂 I feel so stuffed and bloated like I've had a massive sunday roast. All I had was a sandwich and bag of crisps. I've got to make something that the kids are actually gonna eat and dh wants. When I dont fancy anything lol x

FateHasRedesignedMost · 19/10/2021 16:12

Same here! What is it with the 2-3am waking? I wake up on high alert, restless, nauseous then have to go downstairs as lying in bed feels worse. Then around 5am I start feeling sleepy, just as DS wakes for the day!

I’m so snappy with DH. I can’t stand the smell of his vape and have banned it from the lounge, but it still seeps out of his study! He thinks I’m imagining it 🙄

LadyoftheWoods · 19/10/2021 16:18

This is like me! I feel really full and bloated straight after breakfast but the only thing that stops me feeling sick is eating so I end up feeling even more full! I basically have to eat all day. I can't stomach anything sweet or too salty and constantly change what I fancy eating, it's infuriating!

Lemonadee · 19/10/2021 19:27

Hope everyone is doing okay. This pregnancy is making me feel so low and confused

Snoopy28x · 20/10/2021 06:50

@Lemonadee I'm so sorry your feeling like this. Remember your hormones are all over the place. After 12 weeks they usually settle down because the placenta takes over.

Is it your symptoms getting you down? Or something else? I'm here if you want to chat xx

I am absolutely exhausted today. I was studying last night until 10pm. Got to bed and then ds came strolling in at some point. Then was tossing and turning, kicking me in the head and stealing my pillow. I feel like I havent slept. Dd was then up at 6am 😳 I honestly feel sick from tiredness. Now ds is snoring in my bed 😐 I'm gonna try and nap when he does today. I could actually sit and cry. Dh said could I pick something up from the shop, I just looked at him and said no. I am doing nothing today. Nothing!

I'm hoping after 12 weeks things get easier sleep wise.. !! I actually feel sick from tiredness xx

Ha yeah you cant win! I've woken up exhausted but starving. Yet feel sick. So dont fancy anything, but maybe eating might make me feel better!? Theres nothing I really think ooooh I could just eat that, apart from mashed potato. I really fancies that last night x
Lemonadee · 20/10/2021 09:33

@Snoopy28x thanks for your comment. I feel as though I'm always so negative on here when it should be a positive thread. I think because it wasn't planned, then I wasn't sure how I felt and what to do,l and I've had a few wobbles, the symptoms seem to make that worse. I think I'm just super exhausted, stressed, and fed up feeling so sick, it's hard not having anyone to talk to about it either, as I haven't told anyone yet. I guess I'm just finding it hard to process my thoughts when I feel so crummy

Snoopy28x · 20/10/2021 09:46

@Lemonadee is there anyone you can confide in and tell? And swear them to secrecy? How does your dp feel about it all?

It is hard and its alot to get your head round. I also have wobbles, especially when the kids are driving me insane. Like how will I cope with a baby added to all this to! The thought of labour again scares me. The thought of having to get dd to school and a lovely ds to entertain when heavily pregnant. I also suffer badly with SPD in pregnancy, which makes walking incredibly painful. All these things go through my head and I do worry and do stress. Then I see my dc when they have their cute moments and cant wait to have another.

It defo plays with your emotions. Especially as you say, when it wasnt planned. It's totally normal to feel all these things. Plus exhaustion makes things feel so much more overwhelming. We are all here to support each other through this, good bad and the ugly. So feel free to talk openly about how you feel xx

Lemonadee · 20/10/2021 09:54

Thank you @Snoopy28x there is a lot of worries financial stress, logistics, birth scares the shit out of me!! DP is scared out of his wits but had said he would support me which ever way. We agreed the timing was pretty awful, but for me a termination isn't something I think I could go through and I think it was massively impact my mental health. I've also had an early scan and seen the heartbeat so I know I definitely couldn't terminate now. Think it's just everything getting on top of me and bottling it all up. And then I think if I can't cope at 8 weeks with the tiredness and sickness how am I going to manage over the next 7 months. Have thought about talking to my mum but I'm a bit nervous of the conversation.

Snoopy28x · 20/10/2021 10:04

@Lemonadee it's good your partner is being supportive. I mean it's a massive shock for you both. I know financially it's hard to find the right time, however you will find a way to make it work.

It's hard to believe but the tiredness settles down alot after 12 weeks. The placenta takes over and everything balance out. You'll feel like you have bundles of energy. The last part of pregnancy is different in its more being tired because your carrying 3round all that extra weight. However it's nothing compared to these first 12 weeks. Even having a newborn doesnt feel as exhausting as this!

Birth.. yeah that is one of those unknowns. By the time it comes round you'll be just so grateful to get the baby out you'll just want to get it done lol

How do you think your mum will react to the news?

Snoopy28x · 20/10/2021 10:30

😒😔 So it appears I've now got dd sick bug. I feel horrendous. Been throwing up all morning. I dared to have 2 sips of water and that all came back up. So a day of rest for me today. I'm shattered x

LadyoftheWoods · 20/10/2021 11:20

@Lemonadee my first was unplanned and I was only 25. Me and dp had also only been together for 6 months and had only been living together for 6 weeks! I was a month into a new job so to say it was poor timing is an understatement! It's terrifying: financially, wondering how we'd cope, saying goodbye to our fun lives in a big city in our mid-twenties but honestly, it does work out. You just get on with it and it was super hard but just brilliant as well! Snoopy's right about the hormones, first trimester is just the worst! Sickness, tiredness, mood swings! It does get better once you get into the second trimester.

I highly recommend you tell someone- someone who won't judge and is a good sounding board. For some reason I ended up telling an older woman at work. She was just so approachable and didn't know me that well personally so she wasn't shocked or anything and didn't try to give me advice, she just listened.

Don't feel bad for feeling shit, that's what anonymous forums are for! Oh and I would also add that I was petrified of labour, I'm such a massive wimp, I even hate those electric shock party games or any pain at all tbh! But, remember, your body is designed to give birth and it knows what to do. I'm more scared of things not meant to happen like breaking a leg!

@Snoopy28x oh god. A stomach bug is the worst!!! You have my sympathy xx
