Hey I'm only 10dpo but just got a faint positive 2 days ago and has been getting darker so hoping this is real. I calculated and I'm due June 1/2nd.

Anyone else due the same time as me? Want to hang out and keep me company I know it's early days.

@MrsM29 I'm 6+1 and feeling nauseous constantly and so so tired and emotional!

Can't wait for around 12 weeks where all this isn't as bad!

W0W123 · 13/10/2021 07:21

@Nailingnow hello again.... did you get a positive??!! Jump on the other chat!

steff89 · 13/10/2021 07:57

Hey! Hope you don't mind me joining in this thread - so I had my bfp last week and will be due mid June 😊 this is my second baby and I already feel more worried!!! Any lovely plus sized pregnant mums here also? I think this adds to my fear!! I've been getting quite a bit of cramping but not spotting at all - and they are SO much worse in the morning! I wouldn't say it's painful cramping - not super mild either kinda in the middle!! Any one else? Hoping all normal 🤞🏼🤞🏼 I also had this cramps Pre pregnancy and after being scanned for PCOS all seemed fine and they weren't concerned! I've been extremely lucky and fallen pregnant very quickly again so I'm guessing all ok in there on that side - any one else cramping and can tel me what it's supposed to feel like?! Thanks mummas and congrats to you all Smile

BellatrixK · 13/10/2021 09:48

@steff89 I’ve had some mild cramping too. I’m slay a little worried because I’m 15dpo and got a 1-2 on the clear blue weeks test this morning. I think this combined with an early loss in June is stressing me!
I can’t wait for 12 when I can trust this more!

PeeAche · 13/10/2021 09:57

@Hayls07 we are due date sisters!

@steff89 I'm a larger lady too. My GP is such a turd about it.

sk89 · 13/10/2021 10:01

@PeeAche I haven't even been able to speak to a GP yet - I've contacted because i believe with a high BMI its recommended to take a higher dose of folic acid but they just don't come back to me! I've registered pregnancy so am waiting for booking appointment which obviously won't be until 8 weeks, I kind of wanted to speak to some one before but it's proving hard! But so far apart from the cramping I seem to be doing ok - How are you doing?

My local NHS trust actually don't offer higher dose folic acid on prescription for women with an elevated BMI. Unbelievably, even this can vary around the country...

During my last pregnancy (which sadly ended in miscarriage at 7weeks) the doctor looked incredulous at my request for 5mg. I suspect the community midwives may feel differently but I didn't even make it to my booking in appointment.

Nonetheless, it's clearly the advice from the wider NHS. So I purchased 5mg dosage myself from Amazon on same day. It's expensive and you can't claim the cost back like you can with prescriptive medications.

PeeAche · 13/10/2021 10:45

Ah and @sk89, I'm doing okay. I'm 4 weeks and I have tender boobs, mostly at night. I'm also very tired.

I haven't had any cramping but I have had sharp pains in my pelvis during implantation. I thought it was appendicitis. Grin Obviously, this was before my BFP.

Having the worst work day ever, thank god I'm WFH because I keep crying. Just want to scream at them that they're making a pregnant woman cry!

Pandamama88 · 13/10/2021 12:01

So sorry you're having a shit time at work. Hope things get better soon. Maybe talk to your line manager about how you've been feeling?

MrsNT · 13/10/2021 12:05

Has anyone booked their flu vaccine? I called midwife advice line at my hospital and she said to call gp and get it booked asap

I was getting so annoyed at my work call yesterday aswell .
rathernotshare · 13/10/2021 12:11

@Pandamama88 I've told him I'm fed up and frustrated but I'm quite quick to fire off on a normal day so I think he just thinks I'm being dramatic. Not keen to tell them yet because I don't want to be seen as making excuses ☹️ I'm the only woman in a team of 10

I actually wish I wasn't WFH today. My DH is really fucking me off! Grin
W0W123 · 13/10/2021 12:56

So I’m not sure on my due date... would you go by last AF or by when I think I may have ovulated? Because it varies by a week. Or should I just go with AF until I’m told otherwise? I wasn’t testing for ovulation but didn’t get a BFP until I was 3 days late.

EllieMc1 · 13/10/2021 13:03

you date it from the first day of your last period 😊

rathernotshare · 13/10/2021 14:20

When do you ladies think you will tell work? I'm in such a high pressure job managing a team and there's only 1 of me (been off with stress not pregnant!) so 1. I think my boss would appreciate an early heads up and 2. I cannot continue like this, it's madness. Another part of me says don't tell them until I'm legally obliged and watch the panic 😁

Coffeepants · 13/10/2021 14:20

Anyone else not referred themselves to a midwife yet? I haven’t told my partner but will this week. Very apprehensive following a MC last year and kind of don’t want to be excited. Feeling meh and super bloated by evening. I think I’m almost 6 weeks.

Last time I was pregnant, I wasn't able to self refer to midwives. I miscarried too.

This time, I followed the same steps and the GP said they don't do referrals. I'm confused and fed up so I gave up.

So yeah, I haven't referred self either. Just going to give it a few weeks. Maternity services in my local area are really bad and my GP was terrible during my miscarriage. I just can't be bothered with them. I intend to refer closer to when I actually need some care.

Pandamama88 · 13/10/2021 15:00

I think the general consensus is that you count from the first day of your last period. X

Tofu35 · 13/10/2021 15:12

@rathernotshare sometimes when my team are being annoying/frustrating, I think how much they'll be panicking when I tell them I'm pregnant. My stress melts away as I laugh at this future scenario 😂

Pinklady2022 · 13/10/2021 15:31

Hello ladies, congrats on your pregnancy news! I had my BFP last Saturday and I’m due 14th June 2022. I’m from Kent UK. Already a mum to three children aged 11,13&15! Feels like I’m a first time mum being that long! Look forward to getting to know everyone 😁

@steff89 I feel exactly the same. Not painful just a heavy aching cramp is the only way I can describe it. I'm hoping it's a good sign as I didn't have any of this before I MC last time. Hope it's a sign everything is settling in as it should properly xx
Skinnymuffins · 13/10/2021 16:04

@Pinklady2022 I'm in a similar situation - I have two older kids and this feels so new! I had hardly none of the tiredness I have now when I had them in my mid 20s, now 39 I'm knackered!

rathernotshare · 13/10/2021 16:20

@Tofu35 hahaha makes me slightly smug I must say. Feels like no one is expecting it!
