Hey I'm only 10dpo but just got a faint positive 2 days ago and has been getting darker so hoping this is real. I calculated and I'm due June 1/2nd.

Anyone else due the same time as me? Want to hang out and keep me company I know it's early days.

@Equimum now I'm considering ritz and Philadelphia for breakfast 😁

@Chloesen90 that's what I was afraid of! No I've never had it and don't have any conditions. I'm still working from home and don't have much of a social life, but still managed to catch this gnarly cold going around so I am a bit nervous!

TinyTickler · 08/10/2021 07:58

@Chloesen90 I'm not having the Covid booster as I had the vaccine in pregnancy last time and miscarried around three same time. Probably not linked but in my mind it's not worth the risk. The flu jab has been tested far more in pregnancy though so I'd be more inclined to have that.

Chloesen90 · 08/10/2021 08:04

@TinyTickler @rathernotshare I'm so sorry to hear that. Yeah I won't be getting the booster. I've never had the flu jab before so I don't think I'd be getting it. @rathernotshare I think if you haven't had to get the flu jab before don't feel worried about not getting it this time, but in the same breath if you're worried about getting ill maybe you should.

DaimDillyDoo · 08/10/2021 08:23

Anyone else constipated?? Blush

Vimto1991 · 08/10/2021 09:13

Everyone talking about covid jab messing up their cycle - my cycle is irregular, totally all over the place. When I had my first jab it made my period bang on when it’s supposed to be, second jab also did the same, so in a way, it helped me conceive by making my cycle my regular. Confused

dramastic · 08/10/2021 09:29

Anyone else feeling so run down?? All week I've been feeling like I'm coming down with a horrible cold. So tired and cant bring myself to do any exercise. It just seems so weird because it's honestly been years since i have been ill (if you don't count hangovers haha). Keep waking up at 2am and can't get back to sleep too. Hoping it's all normal or just a badly timed cold...

Got my first midwife appt for 29th November. Seems so long away!! Don't think it'll sink in until then.

sunflower198 · 08/10/2021 09:50

Hi All!
I got a positive test this morning after feeling off for the past two weeks. I had a cold so thought that delayed my period but it appears not!
I've also had strong cramping for 2 weeks and boobs felt strange for a couple of days - however today I feel great, so confused!

My period cycles have been so mixed up since I've been tracking for the past year so I'm not sure how to calculate how far along I am?
Do I just go with the NHS website and just put my average cycle length in?

I don't feel excited about being pregnant (this will be my 2nd child) and I feel bad that my OH is so excited by it all! Hopefully the excitement will pick up soon 🤞🏻

I'm 5 1/2 weeks and have been constipated on and off for weeks. I read the hormones affect it! I've had some spotting while having a bowl movement too (sorry for the TMI) but it worried me. I'm assured that's normal! Trying to fiber it up as much as possible 😩
PartyPotato · 08/10/2021 10:17

The flu jab is offered to pregnant women because pregnancy increases the risk of complications if you do get flu. The flu jab is safe. It also protects the baby from flu after birth. Bear in mind flu could be absolutely rampant this winter. I know it’s a personal choice but I just don’t see any sensible reason not to have your flu jab.

PartyPotato · 08/10/2021 10:20

Of course some of you haven’t had the flu jab before, you are young healthy people at minimal risk so it’s not offered. Being pregnant puts you in a different situation. Never having it before is no logical reason to not have it now.

Skinnymuffins · 08/10/2021 10:34

Hi all ☺️ had a positive test last week but a lot of spotting so they booked me in for a scan. Had me dated at 5 - 5 1/2 weeks so not able to see/hear heartbeat yet 😩 so another scan for 7 weeks booked for 2 weeks time.

Such a scary time! I've had 2 children before but they're in teens so this was a surprise!

I didn't have any spotting with the other two and I'm so worried. It's reassuring to read some women having the same symptoms but I can't help but worry until I see that heartbeat 😬

Tofu35 · 08/10/2021 10:45

@sunflower198 congratulations! If you're tracking your cycles using an app, you're looking for the date of your last period.

Is anyone struggling with staying asleep at night? I can fall asleep easily, but at about 4 I wake up really thirsty and needing a pee. Maybe my body is trying to prepare me for poor sleep!

Sienna9522 · 08/10/2021 10:45

@PartyPotato Exactly! It is personal choice. What may not seem like a sensible reason to you, may be perfectly sensible to an individual choosing not to have the jab!

Sunflowers81 · 08/10/2021 10:50

Hey everyone! I'm 5 + 6, after 3 miscarriages, so on tenterhooks but doing my best to stay calm.

Have anyone else's cramps changed location?

I was having a lovely stretchy feeling in my uterus, but it has changed the last few days to back ache.
I still have cramps in my thighs, which I've had all along, I usually get those with my period anyway, so that's normal for me with all that's going on in my uterus.
Just the change of location from the front to the back that's concerning me.

Other symptoms which I've had are big sore boobs, I can only handle wearing soft sports bras at the moment, and some nausea which has been coming and going. Smells are really strong too, and i have vivid dreams. Some breathlessness and a raised heart rate too.

I've had the tiniest bit of orange / brown spotting the last couple of days too. I spoke to my epu last week, and the nurse did say don't panic if you have any spotting, as it is implantation. Seems a bit late for that though?

Iloveoreos · 08/10/2021 11:02

Hey ladies..anyone getting sticky white discharge at mid 4 weeks?

Clomid1 · 08/10/2021 11:04

@Iloveoreos yep loads of that. It freaks me out because I think its my period

Iloveoreos · 08/10/2021 11:06

Its supposed to be a good sign right?
How far along are you

And is it normal to feel so tensed and anxious . Happy but anxious aswell

Clomid1 · 08/10/2021 11:08

@Iloveoreos I am 4 + 2. I think it is normal and a good sign but it scares me so much.

And I am also anxious I will be all the way until I have the baby. Just trying not to get too excited as its all so early.

Yeah im the same aswell. I think its normal to feel this way as its all new . Trying to stay calm and positive and eat healthy xx

Clomid1 · 08/10/2021 11:38

@Iloveoreos other than the leaking discharge. I have no symptoms. I mean I know I should be careful what I wish for but some nausea would be amazing 😁😁😁

rathernotshare · 08/10/2021 11:44

When I roll over in the night, the breast pain wakes me up 😂 I've also noticed I've been getting dizzy the past couple of days

Hahaha yes same..although i read on mumsnet it doesnt start before 6 weeks?
Its too early to feel anything tbh

Clomid1 · 08/10/2021 12:54

@Iloveoreos That gives me hope. Are you thinking of getting any early scans in? I think I might wait for my last miscarriage point to pass which was 6weeks and 2 days and then book one?

Iloveoreos · 08/10/2021 12:55

@Clomid1 i want to get 6 weeks scan done for some reassurance. In our area it costs about 70

rathernotshare · 08/10/2021 14:39

Being pregnant is literally all I can think about! Those that have been here before, please tell me I'll get some normal thoughts back soon?!
