@Flowers222 Welcome! I'm early January (9th), so closer to you in due date then the other ladies who are late January.

I went to Window to the Womb today (16 weeks +6) and found out we are expecting a little girl! 💗

I would definitely recommend if you are planning on finding out! Xx

Flowers222 · 31/07/2021 20:35

@Erin87 congrats on your little girl! We are quite close in dates. We actually went for a private scan today as well and also found out we are having a girl 💗 we are over the moon!

Ralala · 01/08/2021 05:13

@ReginaaPhalange hey! I’m low pappa too. My level is 0.27 so not great. Im 18 weeks now and have been told extra scans from 28 weeks, one consultant appt but I remain low risk unless my scans show anything . If 28 weeks show anything then I’m consultant led. Midwife said to me that it affects around 5% of pregnancies and can mean nothing but has to be monitored.

I’m on a due January private Facebook group. Moved over from mumsnet so we can chat more openly not being a public forum. It’s totally private. All very welcome to join. About 80 of us on there . If anyone wants the link just ask xxx

spttc · 01/08/2021 14:55

@Erin87 & @Flowers222 I'm having a girl too! I think that's 100% of us that have found out so far are having girls 😂 did I see another aswell?

andreavesi · 01/08/2021 16:49

Congrats on having girls @spttc @Erin87 @Flowers222! Such an exciting milestone to find out! ☺️💕 I will know on Thursday and I can't wait!

Not sure if I am the only one... but I am finding it hard to get proper excited about the pregnancy as I feel constantly ill. Don't get me wrong, I am incredibly happy and relieved as it took us so so long to get here, but I guess I thought once I was pregnant I would feel overwhelmingly happy and instead it has been blurred by nausea and exhaustion and everything else. I keep positive and I know it will change but some days are hard! That's why these milestones are so important I think 🙂

Erin87 · 01/08/2021 18:49

@Flowers222 @spttc

Aww little girls club! I'm so excited! Let the shopping commence!

Erin87 · 01/08/2021 18:50

@andreavesi

I definitely feel so much more excited now I know the gender. It feels real now!

I haven't had much sickness so I'm lucky in that respect! Hope it settles soon xx

SouthwestSis · 02/08/2021 19:17

I'm feeling similar @andreavesi and the more pregnant I get, the more apprehensive I feel about labour! I have a midwife appointment later this week so going to talk through my feelings then and see if there's any support I can access.
On the plus side I'm now 2 weeks out from having my 2nd covid jab so defence shields are almost up to full power!

LJD87 · 03/08/2021 02:18

Hi
I had my 2nd Pfizer vaccine on Sat 31st July, I did advise them I’ve just found out I’m 4.5 weeks pregnant. They did advise it was safe to have, plus I was prepared to have it. My 1st dose I had no side effects just a sore arm, this one however woah!!! This is not to scare anyone more just reassurance for myself it’s normal! I’ve never felt so ill in my life, Sunday night went to bed early as had a bit of a sore throat. In the night I had chills and fever, headache, sore throat and muscle aces and pains. I was taking paracetamol every 4 hours but I still felt so ill! Had to take the Monday off work and I didn’t move from my bed all day! I was also sick twice. Please tell me this is normal?

MamaDaria · 03/08/2021 07:29

@LJD87 Hi. I can confirm that, this is completely normal. People around me generally felt more ill on the second dose, with various intensities. Dont worry, you should feel better in a day or two.
I was a lucky one, had my second Pfizer jab on the 16th July and felt completely fine afterwards, the arm was even less painful than the first time. But everyone reacts differently. Well done on getting the jab 😊

andreavesi · 03/08/2021 09:03

@SouthwestSis I haven't even allowed myself to think about labour yet, but I totally see what you mean... speaking to your midwife is definitely the way to go, I saw mine yesterday and she reassured me a lot. She can't say when the symptoms will end mind, but made me feel like it was completely normal. Which I know it is, but it was still nice to hear it 😅

I am having my first jab tomorrow, hopefully no symptoms! I'm excited though ☺️

AIC2015 · 03/08/2021 11:09

Hi guys! I'm due Jan 20th so I'm currently 15 weeks and 5 days, and I sware this week I've felt a couple of little flutters? Has anyone else felt anything??

With my first baby the placenta was at the front so I didn't feel too much movement until it was a clear jab to the ribs etc 😂 but I was told at my 12 week scan the placenta is posterior so I was excited to hopefully feel more movements earlier on!

Anyone have any experience of early flutters? Or experienced any differences with placenta position?

Should add that this is my second baby 🙈
SouthwestSis · 03/08/2021 11:23

@LJD87 ah that is bad luck I think, I was nowhere near that bad! Nothing more than a sore arm again and feeling tired which I had been feeling a lot anyway.....

Great news on getting your first jab @andreavesi ! Enjoy building those antibodies :)

BobbleWobble1 · 03/08/2021 11:46

@AIC2015 I also feel like I've felt something. Also second baby and had anterior placenta last time. It's hard to call though. Will be interesting to know where my placenta is this time!

thecapitalsunited · 04/08/2021 08:38

How are we all feeling today?

I've had a jump in energy levels. After weeks of doing nothing but dog walking I've managed to workout out a few days on the trot and this morning I woke up at 6am with a burning need to jump on our spin bike. Even DH remarked at how sprightly I was this morning. Normally you need a forklift truck to get me out of bed!

spttc · 04/08/2021 09:17

@thecapitalsunited my energy is definitely much much improved. I'm 14+3 today, how far along are you? We're in the process of getting a proper home gym together it's all very exciting so hopefully I'll use that as I just don't feel safe going to gym classes etc with delta. I'm getting my first vaccine tomorrow morning. I'm having lots of round ligament pain and definitely a little bump starting. We still Havnt told people 🤣 but will soon. Kind of enjoying keeping it a secret.

spttc · 04/08/2021 09:39

Has anyone started looking at maternity clothes? I Havnt a clue where to go. I suppose the only thing I need at the moment js jeans/leggings. Then I can get away with larger tops. As I Havnt told people im not quite ready to show case my stomach until im past that.....is she pregnant or just fat stage 😂😂😂

expectinglittlebear · 04/08/2021 10:09

@spttc Not maternity clothes as such but I did order some leggings from amazon that are amazing! I don't think they are labelled as maternity, but the top comes up really high, so over-bump, and they are the comfiest things ever. I've bought a few because they're all I have been wearing the past week or so. I'll see if I can find the link to them

expectinglittlebear · 04/08/2021 10:12

@spttc These are the ones I got. They're super comfy and overbump, and also they are squat proof so don't show off your knickers! I was a bit dubious at first as the sizing is S-L and normally one size fits all stuff it useless, but they're so stretchy!

How is everyone feeling at the moment? The past few days I have felt so anxious and just meh.. I don't know why! Also, DH is really grating on me at the minute lol, even though he has been perfect. Anybody else just getting really irritated with anything and everything?? I feel like such a moody cow at the moment, and just feeling really down and deflated! This rollercoaster of hormones and increased emotions suck!!

OP posts:
thecapitalsunited · 04/08/2021 10:31

@spttc I'm 14+5 so a few days ahead of you.

A home gym made a lot of difference for me. Taking some of the friction out i.e. not having to go to the gym, not having to book a class. I'm morbidly obese so I'm hoping that keeping up with the exercise will help with me keep blood pressure and glucose levels in check. And also help at the end! I use Apple Fitness+ and there is a series showing adjustments to workouts for pregnancy so that will be helpful in keeping it up for as long as it feels good for me to continue.

It's funny bringing up maternity clothes because I caught a side view of myself in my sports leggings and realised the lycra had pulled me into a bump shape. So I've ordered some maternity clothes even though I still fit into everything just fine - I want to look pregnant not even fatter than I already was!

@expectinglittlebear I've also been a bit up and down. Today I'm super perky but I've had days where DH only had to breathe and I was shouting at him.

Tangfastic91 · 04/08/2021 11:03

Hey all! 15+2 here today - nausea is still a bitch but surely it will wear off soon? Finally second jabbed too so feel a lot better about the few social events coming up (whilst of course still being cautious).

DP had a massive sale on maternity jeggings so ordered a couple of pairs. I mostly wear jeggings (and they weren't that roomy to begin with) so no hairband trick available here. Sadly though, the sweatpants I ordered are out of stock so they have refunded me 😭. I will definitely be getting some from somewhere as I WFH and plan to live in them this winter ha! No sign of a bump yet, I'm just a little podgy all over on account of the 9 weeks of carb loading 🙈.

thecapitalsunited · 04/08/2021 11:30

@Tangfastic91 There’s a high chance my newly rounded belly is just a poo baby because I’m so constipated! 😂 The bloat is unreal.

spttc · 04/08/2021 12:01

Ah thanks for the link @expectinglittlebear they look good👌👌👌 Iv been a bit meh myself yeh. Not too bad mood wise but just not feeling great. I think I need some new clothes as I'm feeling a bit ....ugh. I need a makeover basically 😂 get my groove back

I was looking at h&m mama range. Problem is....pretty sure if you buy online you can't return to store as it's a "special collection" how annoying is that 🙈 I also find S,M,L sizes on jeans really hard to judge. @Tangfastic91 just looked at DP & it's all sold out! Damn! I guess the autumn winter stock is on the way though
