Oh well done @expectinglittlebear it's exciting to see it all laid out like that!
Hope everyone's feeling well this week, I've been working really long work shifts so mostly sleeping the rest of the time!

Scottishgal85 · 19/08/2021 12:44

This is great @expectinglittlebear, thanks for putting it together! Slightly freaking out that I'm one of the first names on there though Confused

DoctorBambino · 19/08/2021 12:53

Ooo can I join? I've been too scared to join yet after everything that could go wrong going wrong!

Saw baby yesterday and found out he's a boy. Due date is 31.01.22 and an ivf pregnancy 😊

Been reading the thread for ages but too scared to post!

expectinglittlebear · 19/08/2021 13:05

@DoctorBambino Of course lovely! Welcome and congratulations!

I will add you to the list once we have a couple more things to change too x

Back from my 16 week appointment and glad to say I did get to bub's heartbeat for the first time! My mum came in with me so was nice for her to hear (5th grandchild, but she isn't any less excited!)

thecapitalsunited · 19/08/2021 13:09

Well done @expectinglittlebear! That must have taken you ages. My EDD has moved to 28 Jan so no longer due date buddies with you. It will be interesting to see how many boys and girls we end up with.

Welcome @DoctorBambino! Congratulations on your boy!

@Trinacham So pleased you got to hear the heartbeat. It's such a special moment isn't it?

@expectinglittlebear good job 👏 👌😍

Kayl23 · 20/08/2021 14:48

@expectinglittlebear Ahh that's such a lovely idea 🥰 my due date has been changed to 27th Jan!

Luckymamma · 20/08/2021 17:55

Oooh there’s quite a few of us due 29th isn’t there?! Cool 😀

Luckymamma · 21/08/2021 12:17

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! I tried to stop taking my metaclopramide and feel sick again so that’s rubbish, other than that all good here!
How many others on their 3rd preg? I have a 6 year old and 17 month old, both girls!

Laurentwr5 · 21/08/2021 14:35

Hi everyone,
Could I join this thread please. I am expecting twin boys due 25th January, however will be having a c section 3/4th Jan. As I am high risk twin pregnancy with having a heart shaped uterus ♥️
We’re just about to turn 18 weeks and are just starting to tell people close to us. So I’ve decided to join some forums 👌
We haven’t already as I’ve been in hosp twice already with bleeds and pains.
We already have an older boy whose 12 and 2 girls who are 6 and 3 💖💙

babyyy1926 · 21/08/2021 15:40

@Laurentwr5 congratulations on your twin pregnancy!
I have also been told i have a heart shaped uterus but they said it like it wasn't an issue and didn't seem concerned at all but i've read into it and am wondering if i should be more concerned about having the baby early perhaps. Have they said much to you about having a heart shaped uterus?

Laurentwr5 · 21/08/2021 17:44

It wasn’t picked up until I had a c section with my third. Just that’s it’s a risk factor especially with twins so they will monitor me more for signs of preterm birth.
However I’ve not had my other three children pre 37 weeks, so I wouldn’t worry too much. I think it’s because I have two in there xxx

@thecapitalsunited i was due to have my 16 week midwife appointment a bit overdue on Monday. They called me today and said they're too busy to have me in on Monday, so did it over the phone. So no heartbeat sadly, no blood pressure check, or anything else.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

BobbleWobble1 · 21/08/2021 19:09

@expectinglittlebear great list! EDD is 12/01/22. Hopefully finding out the sex on Wednesday!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Welcome to the new members!

thecapitalsunited · 21/08/2021 22:56

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 That’s terrible. How long are you expect to go before seeing someone face to face where you can actually be checked over? I mean these appointments wouldn’t be recommended at a national level if they weren’t necessary, would they?

mummyh2016 · 21/08/2021 23:49

They've stopped listening to the heartbeat in a lot of areas at 16 weeks anyway so don't be too disheartened. I had my appointment last week and it felt a bit pointless.

EsseKey · 22/08/2021 06:01

@expectinglittlebear great job with the list!
I am so rubbish at keeping up to date with this thread, so much going on, I am on holiday and no notifications! 😂

Anyway I found out last week that I am having a girl, so another one for team pink here 😜

I have read the conversation about car seats, I also was advised by a friend not to bother with the removable one, but preferably invest in a fixed one that lasts longer, and if it spins even better!! So I will probably go with that one (haven't researched much brands and models though) :)

EsseKey · 22/08/2021 06:10

Another (maybe) useful info, I am in Italy at the moment visiting my parents so I have decided to get a medical check while I am here, with an obgyn.
She was a bit shocked with how few exams and checks we get on the nhs in the uk and she recommended a full list of additional tests to do (that I would get for free if I lived here). I knew already that the nhs offers the bare minimum, still everything is evidence based so i am not overly worried with that, but this episode just confirmed me that we really don't get a lot on the nhs, as I suspected before!
I think that depending on how this pregnancy goes and how I will feel about these exams, I might consider going private for the next one (if ever) so that I get that extra reassurance from the additional tests and scans

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 22/08/2021 08:06

@EsseKey hope you're having a lovely holiday! What private tests out of interest? I might look into booking some of these my self?

@thecapitalsunited it's a weird one! I've been chasing them for three weeks because my Papp-A is low, no response. Was told over the phone yesterday I should have been on aspirin for this from 12 weeks but no-one told me, and due to very large babies in my family and the low Papp-A I'll need regular checks every 2 weeks from 28 weeks and might need to be delivered early. I started the aspirin last night, but it's less effective if you start it after 16 weeks 🤷‍♀️

@expectinglittlebear can't believe you put that huge list together!

EsseKey · 22/08/2021 08:37

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 I have the list at home, I will let you know later today or tomorrow! I remember just a few but I prefer to read it again first ahahah

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 22/08/2021 09:09

@EsseKey no hurry whilst on your holiday!
