There’s already a March thread but everyone seems so far along already with people
Due at the beginning of March.

I’ve estimated I’m due around 29th of March so thought I’d make a thread for that! Anyone else?
Ive just come back from holiday, I took the tests the first day we got there to check if it could enjoy a cocktail or two.. ended up with mocktails instead! Grin

How are we feeling? Any symptoms yet?

@spookycookies - DD was born at 4lbs 13oz in my first pregnancy with some issue with blood flow from the placenta with no real known cause so I think they want to keep a close eye on growth this time.

@Houserenoqueen oh I’m sorry, my fingers are crossed for you. Flowers

I did another test this morning and it said 1-2 weeks. I also did a FRER which looks the same as last week- quite faint. I am currently 4 weeks 6 days. I had a panic over it, but I’m not trying to put it out of my mind and ignore it.

Hope everyone else is okay today!

Bluebell88 · 22/07/2021 10:32

@GabeKhera and @Houserenoqueen thinking of you both and keeping my fingers crossed for you Flowers

spookycookies · 22/07/2021 10:52

@BellatrixK I think the digital ones date from conception so would expect to see 3+around 5/6weeks. 1-2 seems ok. They are also unreliable. I suggest you stop testing.

BellatrixK · 22/07/2021 11:09

@spookycookies thank you. I told my mum and she said the same! I’ll leave it and see. I have a booking in appointment next week, so I’ll ask them then :)

@GabeKhera @Houserenoqueen I am thinking of you. xx

bekaf · 22/07/2021 11:37

@BellatrixK my digital one showed the same at that stage, they definitely go from conception. other tests were showing either a very faint line or nothing at all.
Leave it a few days to a week and they'll hopefully be showing what you want to see Smile

Hi all, 5w 4 today and I woke up feeling like my stomach has changed to completely flat! I know it's just bloating..but had anyone else had this? I'm worried 😟

AppleT · 22/07/2021 13:59

Hello everyone,

Can someone explain what the procedure is with regards to the NHS after receiving BFP please?

For example,

  1. Should I call my GP to get a blood test done to confirm HCG and vitamin levels? Or am I calling to set up an 8 and 12 week scan?
  1. I read where I can contact the Early Pregnancy Unit directly to set up the scans or should I be contacting my GP to do this?
  1. What does the first appointment with my GP entails? (What can I expect?)

Many thanks for your responses

MyMabel · 22/07/2021 14:41

@AppleT it much be area dependant but I don’t contact the GP here, or maybe the first time I did and they gave me the number for the community midwife centre. But this time I just googled the community midwife centre number, called them and arranged my booking in appointment, they’ll see you around 8 weeks to do your paper work and either do or arrange to do the first set of blood work to determine chances of a couple of diseases.

However with Covid, my booking in appointment took place yesterday at 5 weeks over the phone where they just asked a load of questions about mine and immediate family health and historical health.

The first scan on the NHS is at 12 weeks unless you have been through IVF or have any other reasons on why they would need to scan you earlier (recurrent miscarriages, ectopic ect)

@Houserenoqueen

Thanks everyone. I’m certain I’m miscarrying, it’s quite heavy bleeding. Tried to do an econsult for the GP but they don’t till 9. DH hasn’t been emotionally very helpful aside from asking if there’s anything I need to do :(
Really hope you are ok Thanks
spookycookies · 22/07/2021 15:59

@AppleT you don't need to see a gp. Gp pregnancy tests are the same as home ones.
I phoned my drs and asked for a midwife appointment. They set it up. You likely won't have an nhs scan until 12weeks unless there is a problem (eg suspected ectopic) this will be set up by your midwife.
First midwife appointment is over the phone where they take your background info and then a short face to face appointment to do blood tests and blood pressure etc.

But it can vary trust to trust.

Shad0w · 22/07/2021 19:20

Has anybody had any spotting? I am 5w 6d and had some spotting today. Spoke to my doctor who isn't at this point concerned but asked me to wear a pad and keep an eye on it. Nothing at all on the pad but a small amount when wiping after having a wee

BellatrixK · 22/07/2021 19:36

I have had today. Exactly the same - nothing on a pad, but very small amount when wiping. I’m 4 weeks 6 days. With that, and the Clear blue seeming behind, I am really worried. But I know it can be very common. I really didn’t think I’d find it this stressful!

My clear blue said 1-2 weeks just over a week ago. I spoke to my doctor about this when I went at the start of this week and he said it's nothing to be concerned about and I think as others have said it must be from conception.

Bleeding is scary but fingers crossed it's normal for us both and all will be ok 🄰

I'm 5+3 today. Had my second Pfizer jab on Monday when I was 4+6 and I've been fine. The first one was worse!

jmap81 · 23/07/2021 08:41

Hi everyone, I would love to join. I had a BFP this Wednesday, two weeks after an IUi cycle. So it's super early days. Cannot figure out due date - could be end March or up to 10 April! I guess it doesn't matter so much at this stage.

I live in London and am doing this solo. Would love to know if there's anyone in a similar boat. Have a private scan in 3 weeks then move to NHS care.

MyMabel · 23/07/2021 10:51

@jmap81 congratulations! How exciting.

I keep toying with the idea of an early scan, but I’ll probably keep toying with the idea of it until my 12 week one comes around anyway šŸ˜‚

MyMabel · 23/07/2021 14:25

Too bloody hot! @Shad0w! How are you?

Off to pick the little one up from nursery in a minute and dreading getting in the car.. the bloody gear stick burnt my hand yesterday.

Oh bless you. This is the first day that where I am the weather has cooled a little. It's still warm but it's a much more bearable temperature!

I'm good thank you Smile
