There’s already a March thread but everyone seems so far along already with people
Due at the beginning of March.

I’ve estimated I’m due around 29th of March so thought I’d make a thread for that! Anyone else?
Ive just come back from holiday, I took the tests the first day we got there to check if it could enjoy a cocktail or two.. ended up with mocktails instead! Grin

How are we feeling? Any symptoms yet?

@enodmai. I’m so sorry that you have lost one of your twins. Apologies if you have mentioned it up thread and I’ve missed it. Been dipping in and out over the last few weeks. So glad that everything is ok with your other baby.

My appetite has hugely decreased but at least I’m able to stomach toast, crackers etc when the nausea is at its worst. Can’t imagine being hungry and not being able to enjoy any food whatsoever. Hopefully it tails off as you head into the second trimester. I never had any sickness or nausea with my DD so this is all new to me.

ItsAlice · 19/08/2021 20:41

@enodmai yes me! It’s the same thing as prochlorazine isn’t it? I’ve been on it a couple of weeks and take it three times a day. For me it isn’t a magic wand but I can get through the day with it and it does make it more bearable for me, but I’m not loosing weight with my sickness and am mostly struggling with 24/7 nausea rather than the vomiting (which is more manageable and oddly gives me some relief) so it may be different fo me you. They told me they can give me cyclizine as well to alternate it with like you would ibuprofen and paracetamol if your really ill, but i don’t want to take more drugs if I can avoid it. I really hope that it works for you and you are finding it better to live with soon. It’s just soul destroying knowing you’ve got weeks and weeks of this without any let up isn’t it, but at the same time you want to feel signs it’s still there and would worry if it went away!

EmAd21 · 20/08/2021 12:01

Hey guys! @GeorgiaMcGraw I'm so glad your scan went well 🄰
I'm sti hanging in there, still spotting, so tired and my mood is shocking, mainly because I'm so bloated and constipated šŸ™„ roll on the 2nd trimester!! Xxx

GeorgiaMcGraw · 20/08/2021 12:51

@EmAd21 thank you, I'm still nervous because I'm still bleeding. It alternates between brown and red. Have to wear a liner, but I think it still counts as spotting. I know what ypu mean, I'm desperate to get to the 2nd trimester. I've booked a private scan for around 9-10 weeks. How far along are you now?

EmAd21 · 20/08/2021 14:00

@GeorgiaMcGraw I'm 9 weeks today sweets, my spotting is much lighter now, good idea getting a private scan booked, will be reassuring for you x

Heyshz · 20/08/2021 14:09
@Heyshz. I’m so sorry to hear about your miscarriages. I had a missed miscarriage in Dec. It’s awful. Hoping for a little rainbow baby myself 🌈 I am currently 8 weeks today. Had a private scan at 7+2 and all was looking good so fingers crossed. Would this be an option for you?
Hi @bubblybrit
Thanks so much for your response, I actually called the EPU and asked if they would give me an early scan because of my previous miscarriages, and now I have one next week Wednesday!! Grin
Im so sorry for your loss in December, it really sucks, but I'm so happy you had a good scan! [rainbow] Bear

bubblybrit · 20/08/2021 14:14

That’s great that you have a scanned booked @Heyshz. You’ll need to let me know how you get on xx

GeorgiaMcGraw · 21/08/2021 12:47

Hello everyone, how are you doing today? I'm still spotting, quite bloody at times, still really anxious, but at least my boobs hurt and I feel sick. Weird that we get happy about being sick and in pain šŸ˜‚ anybody up to much this weekend?

rosed1008 · 21/08/2021 15:29

Hey guys. Ive been lurking on this thread for a few weeks, am currently 8 weeks 4 days. Had a great scan at 7 weeks 1 day, symptoms wise feel bloody awful.

I have a 2 year old and am pregnant after an awful year, 2 miscarriages and a tfmr for suspected T18 that was only in June! I got pregnant straight after no period inbetween. Now the 12 week scan is only 3 weeks away I am petrified its all going to go wrong again 😬. All the midwives/doctors say there is no reason not to be optimistic though- we have just had bad luck, and the fact this one is growing bang on track is a great sign. My tfmr was always measuring 5/6 days behind.

Basically been in the first trimester since March though! Fed up of the bloat and nausea 🤮.

ItsAlice · 21/08/2021 23:55

Oh my goodness @rosed1008 that is one hell of a journey! Don’t blame you for being fed up, you’ve been through so much and I cannot imagine the trauma that has been for - let alone how physically knackering it must all be! Glad the scan went well and that you’re getting through it, I’m only a couple of days behind you and keep thinking each day is one day closer to feeling more secure in my pregnancy (though I keep shifting the goalposts for that criteria), so I totally get the clock watching mentality! Just think, when you went through your losses being pregnant again must have felt so far off, then when you first got those two lines for this pregnancy, being almost 9 weeks must have felt miles off so now you are so nearly at that 12 week scan (and feeling a bit less first trimester-y 🤢) it’ll pass before you know it! You are doing brilliantly, keep on keeping on lady!!

bubblepond · 23/08/2021 11:51

How is everyone doing today? :)

I'm 8+5 today from first day of last period. Nausea has changed from being an all day thing to just until lunchtime at the weekend so I'm hoping that continues! Boobs also feel less sore which I've been worrying about but hoping it's just the placenta starting to take over.

I've been wondering if I may actually be a little further on than I thought. Due to irregular periods and not tracking my ovulation, I think I could actually be around 9+3 at the most. That would make sense as my morning sickness started at 4+3 by the dates I've been going off which is super early!

Scan for us in 6 days. Scary but I also cannot wait to see a heartbeat (fingers crossed) and I think it will reassure me.

Hope you all have a good week!

bubblybrit · 23/08/2021 12:06

Hi @bubblepond. I’m 8+4 today. Got my booking appointment this afternoon with the midwife so I’m sure it will feel all the more real then. I’m still super nauseous but if I can force myself to eat something then it usually subsides.

I had a private scan at 7+2 and it was so lovely to see a heartbeat. I’m still a bit anxious due to a previous loss so contemplating another scan before the standard 12 week NHS one šŸ¤”

Hope all goes well with yours šŸ’“ x

Dyra · 23/08/2021 12:33

Doing well ty @bubblepond. Booked in with midwife last Thursday, and 12 week scan scheduled for 21st September. Managed to get a scan at work at long last. The very kind reg managed to find the sac and a heartbeat (I could barely see a thing). The quality of the scanner wasn't enough for dating, so I'm still none the wiser as to exactly how far along I am. All getting very real now!

bubblepond · 23/08/2021 16:35

@bubblybrit I hope your booking appointment went well, how exciting! I've never experienced a loss as this is my first pregnancy but I can see how having one previously would cause anxiety ļæ¼ I'm anxious even without a previous difficult experience!

@Dyra that's great you got a scan at work and that you saw the heartbeat! ā˜ŗļø my DH scans as part of his job and we keep joking that I should just pop in and get scanned one day! Great that your booking appt and scan are booked too.
My booking appointment is on Friday :)

bubblybrit · 23/08/2021 19:35

Everything went really well thank you @bubblepond. Got my 12 week scan booked for 22nd Sept (I’ll actually be closer to 13 weeks at this point all going well). I think it’s natural to be anxious. I certainly was when pregnant with my DD!

ItsAlice · 23/08/2021 22:53

@bubblepond another glorious day of all day nausea here! If I’m not eating beige food and cold fruit I’ve got my head down the toilet, it’s a bit grim but I’ll take it! My next private scan is next Wednesday and the midwife is next Thursday so that is starting to feel very close now too! 8 weeks was the point at which things went wrong last time so having that additional scan booked is hopefully going to be a big help, but is also making me pretty anxious given what happened last time. We’ve also decided we will tell my parents when we’ve had the scan next week (they will be watching our daughter whilst we pop out) and we have a lunch booked in with the in laws for late September when they get back from holiday to tell them. Mostly however I’m an emotional wreck because my daughter finishing nursery/starting school + pregnancy hormones = crazy lady!!!

Cxjai792 · 24/08/2021 08:28

Hi @bubblepond I’m 9 weeks today based of my last period, but like you my cycle was irregular so I actually think I might be a few days behind. Got 12 week scan on the 14th so we will seeSmile
Glad to hear your feeling a bit better, try not to worry about some symptoms calming down they might pop back up in a few days. I know mine did with nausea last weekGrinthought it was going away then was hit with it over the weekend again!

Hope all goes well with your scan! It’s such a anxious and exciting time!

bubblybrit · 24/08/2021 15:03

Good luck with your scan tomorrow @Heyshz

Heyshz · 24/08/2021 15:55

@bubblybrit thank you it's been changed to Friday though because of work, still really anxious and just hoping for the best!

Hope your booking appointment went well! Did you get to take a partner? I've been informed as long as he brings evidence of a negative test he can come in.

bubblybrit · 24/08/2021 16:09

It’s not too far away @Heyshz. The likelihood is that everything will be fine so I’ll send positive thoughts your way.

My DH was allowed to attend my booking appointment but I told him not to bother taking the time off work. I’ve been through it twice before and it’s just a list of questions with a blood and urine sample taken. Mind you he did come to my first booking appointment so if it’s your first baby then I can see why he’d want to attend/you’d want him to attend x

Heyshz · 24/08/2021 16:16

@bubblybrit I hope so!
Yeah I wouldn't bother with the booking appointments either but more so for the scans, I'm pleased he can be there x

bubblybrit · 24/08/2021 16:25

Yeah my DH will be coming along for the scans as well @Heyshz. I can’t wait to see the back of the first trimester to be honest. I really only started to enjoy my first pregnancy when I got to 13/14 weeks x

bubblepond · 24/08/2021 17:06

@bubblybrit glad the appointment went well! The time will fly until the scan I'm sure :)

@ItsAlice it's awful isn't it! I hope you're feeling better today! My all day nausea has been back since yesterday 🤢 sort of reassuring but obviously very unpleasant! Hope everything goes well for you with your scan and appointment next week! It's completely understandable to be anxious, will be keeping everything crossed for you.
All being well (or even if not) with our scan on Sunday we will be telling my parents next Wednesday too. It's so exciting! (Touch wood everything ok with the scan)

@Cxjai792 we must be at a similar stage then as I'm 9 weeks tomorrow based on last period. Thanks so much for the reassurance! Symptoms are back with a vengeance so I've been feeling physically horrible but less anxious, not sure which is worse! I hope all goes well with your scan too!

Ashalee32 · 24/08/2021 17:10

Hi so I’m 6 weeks pregnant, I went for a scan today (had bleeding at the weekend) and they said the gestational sac hasn’t quite grown to what it should be… 4mm instead of 7mm growth, and to prepare for a miscarriage…. Has anyone else had this? And did they manage to go for the follow up scan and all be ok? Or will it end in miscarriage indefinitely??

Booked in for 10 days time to see what’s happened
Many thanks 😬

bubblybrit · 24/08/2021 18:59

Yes I am sure you are right @bubblepond. I’ve got quite a busy period ahead at work so hoping that makes the time fly by. Good luck with your scan on Sunday.
