There’s already a March thread but everyone seems so far along already with people
Due at the beginning of March.

I’ve estimated I’m due around 29th of March so thought I’d make a thread for that! Anyone else?
Ive just come back from holiday, I took the tests the first day we got there to check if it could enjoy a cocktail or two.. ended up with mocktails instead! Grin

How are we feeling? Any symptoms yet?

@Nervyy I'm definitely struggling with my mood, but I'm also not feeling anything towards the pregnancy, I just feel down and indifferent, is a horrible feeling, doesn't help that I'm dealing with processing losing one of the twins and horrendous morning sickness that lasts 24 hours a day, I've lost a stone so far in 7 weeks, can barely function with the constant nausea Sad hoping it starts to get better soon and I start "feeling" something

bubblybrit · 18/08/2021 14:35

@Nervyy. I’m feeling quite demotivated at work. Just can’t be bothered and already counting down to maternity leave. I’m usually pretty driven so this is new to me. Could happily log off and never log on again. Got to paint a smile on my face when speaking to colleagues and clients. I’m listening to what they are saying but thinking ā€˜I don’t care’ at the same time!

hopeful234 · 18/08/2021 20:36

@Nervyy I'm so pleased you posted this as I'm feeling exactly the same. We're in a new house and there's so much to do (and that I want to do) but I don't have any motivation to do it. I usually enjoy work but at the moment I'm just too exhausted to muster any enthusiasm. I had biscuits for tea because I couldn't be bothered to cook šŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø

GeorgiaMcGraw · 18/08/2021 20:45

@nervyy I'm just anxious, constantly anxious, especially with the spotting and cramps, I just can't "switch off". Can't set my mind to anything and I have loads of jobs to sort around the house too, various tradesmen to arrange.

Dyra · 18/08/2021 22:34

@Nervyy Me too. Work isn't quite so bad. At home is the problem. I've got masses of laundry, a kitchen to tidy, and a toddler to entertain. Never mind all the other million and one tasks that still need doing. I find the energy for one task, maybe two on a good day, but everything is starting to snowball now. Poor DH is doing his best to help, but he's constantly knackered from work. Urgh. Second trimester better come with some more energy.

Nervyy · 18/08/2021 23:40

@enodmai I am so so sorry to hear that you're going through something so awful šŸ˜ž I can't even begin to imagine how difficult this all is for you. Have you been offered any support since they discovered the loss of the twin?
It also sounds like you're really suffering physically as well, honestly I think you should reach out to your midwife / EPU. Have you got a partner supporting you? X

@bubblybrit I am the exact same! Work is usually my thing, I'm normally so motivated by my job but I too am counting down the days til maternity leave as I just feel totally demotivated at the minute. I have heard you get a burst of energy in the second trimester so I am looking forward to that, as I do know that I love my job and I still want to have that x

@hopeful234 it's so frustrating isn't it šŸ˜” I would definitely be frustrated if I could muster up the energy to feel it.. lol. I can't imagine attempting a house move right now so hats off to you! Definitely feeling you on the biscuits for tea as well, I had 3 pieces of toast and a banana 😬

@GeorgiaMcGraw ohh the anxiety is something else isn't it 😣 isn't it strange that we literally have zero power over how our pregnancies progress yet we spend every minute of the day thinking about it?! House jobs have definitely taken a hit in the past week or so for me, too.
Have you found anything that helps ease your anxieties or distract you?

@Dyra preaching to the choir šŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø I actually had to give myself a pat on the back today for doing the pots and putting on a load of laundry. It has literally taken me 3 days to get off the sofa and do it. So so bad!! I can't imagine trying to entertain a toddler as well! I have heard you get a burst of energy in the second trimester so fingers crossed for us all šŸ¤žšŸ»

Thank you everyone for your replies and kind words, it's actually so nice to know I'm not alone in these feelings but I am sorry that everyone is experiencing something difficult as well xx ā¤ļø

bubblepond · 19/08/2021 06:26

I can completely relate! Work is actually ok as it forces me to be busy, but at home I spent most of the time lying in bed or on the sofa. Normally DH has to remind me to sit down/have a rest because I'm on the go all the time!

magify · 19/08/2021 07:02

Same here! Recently, I can't even catch up with sleep. It takes me ages to fall asleep and then I wake up at 3:30 and keep tossing and turning till 5 when I eventually give up. I'm knackered now and it's just 7 am.
I just cannot stop worrying about everything, I think my mind is not catching up with the pregnancy yet (it's my first one). I bought a book about pregnancy but can't make myself read the labor chapter.
I had a fight with my partner yesterday over nothing. I feel like I'm constantly snappy and anxious. I'm annoyed at him and I miss him when he goes to work.
I don't even know how to explain what I feel to him. It makes no sense.

GeorgiaMcGraw · 19/08/2021 09:09

@nervyy I know, there's nothing you can do but you can't stop thinking about it. I know I saw a heartbeat on Tuesday but I've been bleeding more heavy and red since so I'm just back to panicking. Hoping the internal scan may have just caused more blood and that it's innocent. Either way, I can only wait and see. How are you feeling today?

Nervyy · 19/08/2021 09:20

@GeorgiaMcGraw seeing a heartbeat is definitely a positive ā¤ļø but I completely understand the feeling of anxiety and I can only imagine that the bleeding compounds this. I am so sorry you're going through this stress. Have you spoken to your EPU since the scan? What are your next steps?
I'm actually feeling a little better thank you, only woke up once in the night for a wee so I think a bit more sleep has helped. Made plans with friends today to come over, so that's something to look forward to.
How are you? Xx

GeorgiaMcGraw · 19/08/2021 09:33

@nervyy glad you got some sleep, hope you have fun with your friends today Smile I haven't called EPU since the scan, but it was only on Tuesday. They were really nice but didn't really say anything about the bleeding or cramps, just to stop thinking about it until a dating scan, which isn't really possible. I don't know what to do other than wait it out. If I haven't passed any actual pregnancy tissue in a week or two, I'll go for a private scan.

ItsAlice · 19/08/2021 10:52

@bubblepond same! I took Tuesday off work to rest up and i think I felt worse than when I’m at work with lots of busy distractions! My sleep is awful too @magify - I’m up for a wee 3/4 times a night and just can’t get comfy whatever I do so I’m not getting decent quality sleep which definitely does t help!!

Oh @GeorgiaMcGraw that’s so so hard for you to know whether to have confidence in your pregnancy or not. I think that’s a good plan, see how things go and then have another scan in a week or two. Being blunt about it having lost a pregnancy around this stage before and having chatted at the time to friends about what it was like, I had a day that was very intense and there was a lot of ā€˜stuff’ that wasn’t like a period, so you’d know if it was progressing to something like that rather than being a continuation of bleeding in early pregnancy. I can’t imagine how stressed you must feel about it all - hope it stops soon!!!!

GeorgiaMcGraw · 19/08/2021 11:25

Thanks @ItsAlice, that's reassuring (although I suppose I was going to be antsy even without bleeding because my only other pg was a mmc). Sorry you're not sleeping well, bad sleep just messes everything up! Hope your bladder calms down and lets you get some rest!

Emmalouiseej · 19/08/2021 11:34

Hi everyone! My first time posting on anything like this :) I'm due end of March/beginning of April 2022! I thought I was 7+6, but I had an early scan yesterday and they told me I was measuring at 8+2. Still don't get all that stuff, so I guess I'll wait until my 12 week scan to have things confirmed properly! I've only been sick once (right in the middle of a lunch I'd been craving ALL day!) and other days feeling almost hungover rather than sick. I'm super tired all the time and can't bring myself to even walk around the block at the moment! I have friends that haven't started showing until 16 weeks, but I'm sure I'm showing already and have started piling on the pounds!

This is all very new for me as this is my first pregnancy so still not really sure what I should be doing, as well as trying to learn what not do be doing/eating too! x

GeorgiaMcGraw · 19/08/2021 11:43

@emmalouiseej hello, nice to have you here! Glad your scan looked good :) totally normal to feel tired and bloated, I'm struggling with my trousers at about 6 weeks, lol. The main things to avoid that I know are soft cheeses like brie, and cured meats like chorizo unless cooked piping hot. Wash salad etc before eating it and avoid essential oils (eg if like me you would normally use a bit of tea tree in a carrier oil on your downstairs for thrush occassionally) and the obvious one: alcohol, which I'm sure you know!

Cxjai792 · 19/08/2021 11:59

Hi everyone!
Hope I can joinSmile I’m due on the 29th of March according to midwives. Been so ill and miserable since finding out and I feel like my 3 year old is really testing me at the moment!
I had preeclampsia in my last pregnancy and a really traumatic labour. I’m terrified of doing it againSad
Hope you’re all doing well and sending positive thoughts x

Emmalouiseej · 19/08/2021 12:23

Thanks so much @GeorgiaMcGraw! I felt so nervous posting - like my first day at school! Blush

Luckily I've been avoiding all of those things which is good, to be honest, all I seem to want to eat at the moment are white carbs - toast and pasta being the top two!

Telling my parents and in laws next weekend which I'm SO excited about - have you told anyone yet?! I've had 3 hen do's since I found out, so I told those friends as didn't want them thinking I was being boring/difficult, but apart from that it's just me and my Fiance! We've had our Wedding postponed twice and not getting married until September 2022 now, so hopefully this will be some good news all the family need after Covid and a few bereavements in the family. Now comes the stress of working out where we're going to fit a nursery in our small house that is already being used by both of us wfh! x

Hi @Emmalouiseej and @Cxjai792 Welcome and congratulations to you both šŸ’• I'm 8+1 and feeling very similar to you @Emmalouiseej it's also the first time for me and currently trying to hold down my breakfast I had hours ago šŸ™ˆ can't wait until the morning sickness calms downšŸ˜†
bubblybrit · 19/08/2021 13:37

@Nervyy. Yeah I’m really struggling. I can’t say that I love my job but I feel like I really hate it at the moment 😢! Each day is a struggle.....

bubblepond · 19/08/2021 13:41

Welcome @Cxjai792 and @Emmalouiseej !

@Emmalouiseej it's my first pregnancy too and our dates are similar - I'm 8+1 today by dates but having early scan next weekend. I've been feeling pretty much exactly the same as you too! Also having to think about what I'm eating as well. It's a big learning curve!

Heyshz · 19/08/2021 14:40

I'm due start of April I think, I'm 6 weeks at the moment.
Hoping this is my rainbow baby, I've had two miscarriages this year in Feb and Apr, weeks 7 and 8.

bubblybrit · 19/08/2021 17:53

@Heyshz. I’m so sorry to hear about your miscarriages. I had a missed miscarriage in Dec. It’s awful. Hoping for a little rainbow baby myself 🌈 I am currently 8 weeks today. Had a private scan at 7+2 and all was looking good so fingers crossed. Would this be an option for you?

enodmai · 19/08/2021 18:22

@bubblybrit I'm 8 weeks today too !

I've been put on stemetil to help with the sickness, anyone else tried it before ? If I'm no better by Monday then I'll have to go to hospital for help with fluids - I've lost a stone in 2 weeks Sad

bubblybrit · 19/08/2021 19:33

@enodmai. I found out when I was 4+2 so already feel as if I’ve been pregnant for ages! The first trimester really does drag in. I’m sorry to hear that your sickness is so bad. I’m terribly nauseous but only physically sick every once in a while. Must be horrific if it’s continual. Hopefully the meds help xx

enodmai · 19/08/2021 19:38

@bubblybrit I'm the same, I found out early on due to bleeding and I lost one of the twins, but thankfully so far, the other is holding on.

I've never had nausea like it, they said it's probably to do with my hormones being so high, I can't even sip water without wretching.

I didn't think they could do anything for nausea (I'm not always vomiting just always feel sick) and the midwife was really reassuring and said they absolutely can help stop the feeling so I can at least stomach something

Is horrible as I'm so hungry but just can't do it.
