There’s already a March thread but everyone seems so far along already with people
Due at the beginning of March.

I’ve estimated I’m due around 29th of March so thought I’d make a thread for that! Anyone else?
Ive just come back from holiday, I took the tests the first day we got there to check if it could enjoy a cocktail or two.. ended up with mocktails instead! Grin

How are we feeling? Any symptoms yet?

@bubblybrit totally agree, I think you do what you need for the support you need and also it’s horrible when people have already guessed so dodging that is good.

@Nervyy honestly don’t stress about internal scans, they do them all the time and have a bit of paper roll to hide your modesty (they barely look there and more guide it based on what they see on the screen). Between losses and fertility treatment I’ve probably had about 15 of them and I’ve never had one that has been painful. If you’ve got any questions about why it makes you anxious just shout but truly they are absolutely fine!

I agree!! I was nervous but it was fine, I felt totally relaxed in the end. They were looking at the screen most of the time. It was just pressure, no pain or anything. Xx

What a lovely scan photo @els96. Hope there's no more bleeding or pain for you in the rest of your pregnancy. I won't be finding out what I'm having. I like being a Kinder egg! Grin

@bubblybrit That sounds so hard. I hope DH will be back to full health soon for you. Don't sweat the small stuff. As long as everyone is fed and watered, it's a win!

I did the same before bed last night @Sunshineandgin. Other than the tiredness (I had to join the afternoon nap club as well today) I feel so normal, but the line was the strongest one to date.

@ItsAlice Enjoy your day with your in-laws tomorrow. Mine are down tomorrow as well. Praying that if the morning sickness does turn up, it won't be until after they're gone!

bubblybrit · 31/07/2021 22:06

@els96. I’m not sure whether I’ll find out the sex. I did with my first so thought a surprise would be lovely this time round. DH doesn’t agree though and wants to find out asap. Still undecided to be honest. Must admit that I loved knowing with DD as felt really bonded to her but also know that this will be my last baby so I’ll never get the surprise element again if we do find out!

bubblybrit · 31/07/2021 22:08

Thank you @Dyra. He is slowly recovering each day which is a good thing. I’m just trying to get through each day but thoroughly enjoy crawling into bed at the end of it lol šŸ˜‚

Dyra · 31/07/2021 22:12

Agreed on not to worry about internal scans @Nervyy. I've had a couple before. It's a weird sensation, but no unpleasantness. The sonographer do their best to maintain your dignity, and are far more focused on their screen than your bits. If you feel any discomfort, you're encouraged to tell them so they can stop and adjust.

Morning all, I hope you're all well.

I've been quiet because I've had an awful week of scans and blood tests and being told that were unable to locate my baby and then since about 3am this morning I've been bleeding heavier and passing small clots so I think it's likely I'm miscarrying šŸ˜”

Oh @Shad0w I’m so sorry to read your news, I hope you’re being looked after Flowers

MyMabel · 01/08/2021 08:51

Apologies for being quiet the last few days; I’m basically a working, eating and sleeping machine at the moment. Can’t stay awake easily so any free time I get is spent dozing like a bloody sloth.

Im back in office tomorrow and Im not looking forward to being up early to get ready and make myself look office ready 😫

How is everyone else coping with working at the moment?

So sorry for you shad0w. Be kind to yourself.

Honestly @MyMabel? I'm not. I managed to drag the hoover around in the end yesterday, and my kitchen is clean. I'm very lucky in my job in that, most of the time, there's long periods of sitting about doing nothing. Not so good for BMI, ok for early pregnancy.

Sunbird24 · 01/08/2021 09:14

@MyMabel same, I wake up for a couple of hours in the night as I’m too hot, need a wee and have that kind of nausea you only get when you’re hungry.
Does mean I’ve seen us win a few Olympic medals in real time though. šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø
@Nervyy Hi! Yes first baby, all going great so far- all well with you too I hope ā¤
@FJS819 such an amazing feeling isn't it ā¤ļø trying not to be too hopeful but all is seeming well so far! I have an early scan booked just to hopefully reassure me and show viability etc.
Have you got any scans booked or just waiting until your first NHS? Have you been booked in with midwives yet? I called when I found out I was pregnant and pretty much got told to call back when I'm further along šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

Nervyy · 01/08/2021 09:44

@els96 @Dyra @ItsAlice thank you for your reassurance around internals ladies! ā¤ļø
I am quite embarrassed to say that I haven't yet been able to tolerate a smear (I am 27) - they attempted one when I was around 22 due to spotting but the lady used a medium instead of a small and I was in the most pain i have ever felt, biting my fist and begging her to stop! She never got a successful sample.
Weirdly, I am not worried about labour, as I feel / hope that I can prepare myself and also think knowing I will get to hold my baby will help! I am just fearful of people 'interfering' down there, but anything that is for the baby is worth it. ā¤ļø

Hope everyone is well today? Xx

@MyMabel I feel you! Napping is life at the moment. Really struggling with work, I have a rather active job and it does carry some risks but I am not at a point where I'm comfortable telling my employer so when I called in sick last week I said I was unwell but in reality I was just exhausted! Back in tomorrow and not looking forward to it that much but hopefully it'll make the time go quicker as I do find when I'm not busy I am constantly thinking about this pregnancy and I am not sure that's healthy ? X
@Nervyy yes they're both me! šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤£ sorry for confusion. It's so exciting for us all.. I can't wait to see how much he/she has changed. I keep thinking it's a girl, will everyone be finding out gender? X
@els96 Me and my partner definitely want to find out I think! He suspects girl but would be happy with either, I am 50/50... maybe leaning slightly more towards thinking it's a girl but not sure if that's because my partner refers to baby as 'she/her' a lot ha x

Theimpatientworrier · 01/08/2021 13:19

@Shad0w I’m so sorry to hear your news - wishing you much love, and kindness šŸ’”

@Nervyy that’s a horrible smear story, but if it reassures you I’ve had similar - I had to tests when I was about 19 and a virgin, the speculum hurt me so much I was in a similar position to what you describe and terrified when my first smear came around, but I explained my worries and she was very gentle. I then had another smear where I was told I had a retrograde cervix and that was causing me pain because she couldn’t see it properly. For my next one I explained that to the nurse and she said she didn’t want to bad mouth the previous one but my cervix is fine, and easy to see and she didn’t hurt me at all. I’ve also had an internal scan before and was fine. I think much depends on the nurse or practitioner and the best thing to do is explain your bad experiences and be honest about your fears so they know you’ll need care and relaxation.

Shad0w · 01/08/2021 13:27

Thank you for all your kind messages. I was at the EPU this morning for a further blood test and then was sent home. I should have the results in around an hour.

It's so strange because the bleeding has slowed down again and not as much as it was in the night and early this morning, it gives us a glimmer of hope but I do think I'm possibly setting myself up for even more heartache.

Not too bad at the moment with work but I know it's going to become a struggle soon šŸ™ˆ I'm a full time beauty therapist and work a 6 hour shift 4 times a week in a bar..sickness hasn't been too bad yet but I did have a moment last night I thought I was going to have to drop everything and run šŸ˜‚
