There’s already a March thread but everyone seems so far along already with people
Due at the beginning of March.

I’ve estimated I’m due around 29th of March so thought I’d make a thread for that! Anyone else?
Ive just come back from holiday, I took the tests the first day we got there to check if it could enjoy a cocktail or two.. ended up with mocktails instead! Grin

How are we feeling? Any symptoms yet?

@Theimpatientworrier

If morning sickness starts at 6 weeks I could be in a mess… I’m 5+3 on LMP and have been nauseous all week, and it’s getting stronger (I think I’m further ahead as I have shorter cycles, but at most I’d be bang on 6 weeks today I think). I’m torn between really not enjoying nausea and being glad to feel pregnant as the increasing grimness is helping my anxiety šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø
@Theimpatientworrier I think so many of us can relate between loving the feel of symptoms so we actually feel pregnant and the hating them at the same time! My mum has been telling me not to feel pressure to enjoy pregnancy as not everyone does. Just because we want to be mama's doesn't mean we have to enjoy pregnancy! Everyone's experience is different but fingers crossed we can enjoy it!

Feeling very sick today 🤢 was feeling fine this morning but I left it a bit late to have breakfast and now even after eating feel gross!
How is everyone doing today?

Sunbird24 · 31/07/2021 10:30

I cried watching the review of the two Olympic golds. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

bubblybrit · 31/07/2021 11:15

I’m super tired to the point it’s impacting my work. My manager is aware and has been brilliant but hoping the extreme tiredness and nausea wears off (or at least reduces soon) or else I don’t know how I’m going to hold down a full time job as well as looking after a toddler. My DH has been in hospital recently so the majority of childcare/household tasks fall to me at the moment 😢

Dyra · 31/07/2021 11:25

I'm exhausted. Feels like I haven't slept. Trying to muster up the energy to clean my house in preparation for in-laws coming down tomorrow. So far I've managed to lay down on the sofa and put CBeebies on.

broodyas · 31/07/2021 12:30

@Dyra and @bubblybrit I can definitely relate to the tiredness. Usually I'm go go go all day and love being busy but I'm struggling to muster up the energy for anything apart from lying on the sofa at the moment šŸ™ˆ

broodyas · 31/07/2021 12:31

@bubblybrit it also sounds like things have been tough for you recently, I'm sorry your DH has been in hospital :( I hope he's doing better now Thanks

Nervyy · 31/07/2021 12:45

5 weeks exactly today (estimated from date of conception 10/7) !
Starting with low level cramp not just on one side which is a relief. Going to start pregnacare today too as I've only been on folic acid and I'm a bit worried!
Trying to set mini goals for this week to keep myself sane... anyone else doing this? hope everyone is doing okay??? X

Sorry to read about your DH and the extra pressures you're facing - remember you can only do your best and to give yourself a break wherever you can x
bubblybrit · 31/07/2021 12:52

Thank you @broodyas and @Nervyy. He is much better now but been advised to take it easy for the time being. He also isn’t allowed to drive at the moment which is adding to the pressure of keeping all plates spinning - food shop, nursery drop off/pick up etc! Would be ok under normal circumstances but combined with tiredness, nausea and my general anxiety around this pregnancy it’s tough.

els97 · 31/07/2021 18:26

Bled the other day and had right sided pain, got a scan from my hospital and can't believe how small he/she is ā¤ļø overwhelming to see it. Feel so relieved that the pains are normal. First time mum worries 😩 x

bubblybrit · 31/07/2021 18:32

So glad that everything is ok @els97. How far along are you?

Thank you so much. They said only between 4-5 weeks. This is the little one šŸ’œ I found a week ago last Thursday, and my last period was 22nd June so I thought I was further. Happy everything is going ok at the mo. Hope you're well too 🄰

Ah brilliant @els97. The earliest scan I’ve had was when I was 10 weeks with my DD. I’m booked for an early scan with this pregnancy at 7 weeks (due to an earlier loss) and don’t quite know what to expect. Great to know that I should be able to see the little one at the scan!

ItsAlice · 31/07/2021 20:08

Oh hope DH is back on his feet soon @bubblybrit - that sounds super hard so maybe just let the house be a mess for a bit and live on freezer food and takeaways for a week without guilt 🤣

@els97 ah so glad everything was as it should be, that must be such a reassurance! Can’t wait until my early scan, I swear I’m counting down the days!

I’m totally in the napping club too - and I’m only 5 weeks tomorrow so it’s not even really started yet!! Off to a family catch up tomorrow which I was dreading as my SIL is pregnant (they had their first son who is almost 2 just as we started trying so that was hard) but now I know I’ve got my own secret on board it will be so so much more bearable!

bubblybrit · 31/07/2021 20:33

Thank you @ItsAlice. My house standards have slipped a little bit and I did order takeaway last night. Apparently my DD now likes Thai! That’s great news that you feel more prepared to see your SIL. Are you planning to tell your family tomorrow? Or will it still just be your little secret?

ItsAlice · 31/07/2021 20:48

@bubblybrit good for you! Ooh I love Thai food so good shout on that front! You can always clean later when you are both a bit better - I have a cleaner for when I get overwhelmed and I’ll have her for a month to get us straight then carry on myself, might be worth looking into if you think DH will be out of action for a bit!

Not planning to tell them yet, we will wait for 12 weeks, though if the one at 7 weeks goes well we will probably tell parents and my mum friends who have been there so much for me through the infertility stuff we have had to deal with. Have you told anyone yet? What’s your plans with telling people - it’s such a minefield!!!

bubblybrit · 31/07/2021 21:03

I was actually looking into a cleaner this afternoon @ItsAlice. Think it would take some of the pressure off....even short term.

I’m only 5+2 but I’ve told my parents and my mother in law. I told them early as I’m so anxious given my previous loss that I didn’t want the added pressure of keeping it a secret. Especially as I feel so nauseous that they were asking if I was ok...really didn’t want to tell a white lie. I won’t be telling anyone else until 12 weeks though. It’s a personal decision and you have to do what’s right for you.

@els97 congratulations, that is brilliant news! Was the scan internal or external? Sorry to ask a personal Q so feel free not to answer!! Can't believe they were able to get such a clear picture so early on - gives me hope for my early scan actually ā¤ļø were they able to detect baby's heartbeat or still too soon for that?X

els96 · 31/07/2021 21:10

@Nervyy it was internal. It was fine though 😘. They didn't see a heart beat, I think this is why they think I'm 4-5 weeks. But that tiny little grey dot is baba ā¤ļø i just can't believe it. I had a private scan booked for next week but I've postponed it as I want to wait a bit longer now as I want to see the heartbeat next time 🄰 good luck for your scan. It's amazing I can't stop looking at the picture 🄰 xxx

@els96 @els97 < sorry, wasn't sure which to tag, are they both you???
That makes sense, I wasn't sure if I'd be brave enough to have an internal at my private scan as it's not a hospital but I'm sure it'll be fine and well worth it to see baby and know they're in the right place! That's one of the biggest worries out of the way ā¤ļø so so happy for you!! Xx

els96 · 31/07/2021 21:20

@Nervyy yes they're both me! šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤£ sorry for confusion. It's so exciting for us all.. I can't wait to see how much he/she has changed. I keep thinking it's a girl, will everyone be finding out gender? X

FJS819 · 31/07/2021 21:20

@Nervyy Hi! Yes first baby, all going great so far- all well with you too I hope ā¤

Sunshineandgin · 31/07/2021 21:27

@els96 how exciting to have a scan photo already!!

I did another test this morning as I feel so normal I was beginning to wonder if I dreamed it but strongest line ever showed straight away, maybe just too soon for proper symptoms to kick in.

We found out the sex with my first at the 20 week scan but I think this time if it's all going fine then I'd be happy to wait and see.
