There’s already a March thread but everyone seems so far along already with people
Due at the beginning of March.

I’ve estimated I’m due around 29th of March so thought I’d make a thread for that! Anyone else?
Ive just come back from holiday, I took the tests the first day we got there to check if it could enjoy a cocktail or two.. ended up with mocktails instead! Grin

How are we feeling? Any symptoms yet?

@broodyas

Hi everyone, got my BFP today and I'm 4+6 based on LMP, so still very early! Been feeling nauseous with sore boobs for the past few days, DH thought my symptoms were all wishful thinking šŸ˜‚ He got a shock when I presented him with the test this morning!
Congrats 🄳
bubblybrit · 27/07/2021 13:44

Congratulations @broodyas. I’m 4+5 which is super early for me. I didn’t find out until I was almost 6 weeks when pregnant with DD!

Lalala1985 · 27/07/2021 14:26

@Nervyy I was just listing everything I'm giving up to my DH earlier.
The worse being rollerskating. It's something I've done most of my life and I always moaned at roller derby team mates being forced to stop because of a '9 month injury' think it should be fine until they start to show. Now I realise from reading up on it that even at this early stage, it's very dangerous to the baby.
I only got back into it after stopping for a couple of years after a really bad injury :(. I can't even give them the reason... I'm just going to stop going which is kinda sad, and reappear 9 months later.

Going to replace that exercise with Aquafit, and swimming (I go 2-3 times a week anyway). Other than that our dog forces me to walk 30-40 mins a day.
Anyone doing Pilates? I have quite a lot of aches and pains in my back, hips, and ankles (old skating injuries!) so thought it might be good to get started with that now. I'm quite confused in what we can and can't do- is it just anything on your back after 1st trimester?

And coffee- we factored in our coffee machine into our mortgage and got a state of the art one. It's what keeps me going.Just bought some decaf beans. Has anyone noticed they feel tired earlier now, so go to bed earlier? I haven't felt tired at all and think it's partly because I'm getting more sleep :)

PeachScone · 27/07/2021 14:51

I am totally exhausted and boobs are less sore but nips are still sensitive. Been nauseous on and off but only 5+2 still. Have become totally averse to yogurts, eggs and cheesy sauce šŸ˜… due to go away with some friends for a retreat weekend next week when I will be 6+6 and really hoping I am not more nauseous/tired than now as I dont think I'll manage while keeping it secret!
So excited for the 7 week scan we booked.
Only 4 more shifts on this ward then I am DONE until late September by which time I will be 13 weeks Shock
Am also swinging between looking at the miscarriage reassurer website and looking at prams HmmHalo

almay · 27/07/2021 15:27

@PeachScone

I’m the same, in one way telling myself it’s early days but at the same time picking out all my bits and doing a spreadsheet! So hard not to get carried away.

I’m still so exhausted, I feel like I won’t get away with it in work much longer.

BrandySandwich · 27/07/2021 15:31

Hi All, mind if i join this thread? I am due March 19th, with my first pregnancy. Got my BFP two weeks ago, and am pretty anxious and freaking out so have an early scan tomorrow (6+2 weeks) to try and calm my nerves! Had some nausea and am struggling to make it through a working day without having a nap (thankfully WFH still!) but that could be to the lack of caffeine!

Countingchicks · 27/07/2021 15:54

Good to see you on here @Twinkles18 :-)

Twinkles18 · 27/07/2021 15:59

Thanks @Countingchicks so happy were both here šŸ¤ so nervous but need to just have positive vibes! Hoping next 2 weeks fly in before our 7week scan!
Have you referred yourself to the hospital yet?

Countingchicks · 27/07/2021 16:08

@Twinkles18 did my referral yesterday at our local hospital won't allow it any earlier. I've booked a scan for this Thursday when I'm 6+2 as not got symptoms and had some brown discharge so worried that it won't end well

Such cruel irony that we are suddenly so exhausted and also suddenly can't have a coffee Wink
Twinkles18 · 27/07/2021 18:25

@Countingchicks glad you got a scan booked, I have everything crossed that it goes ok! Let me know how you get on xx

ItsAlice · 27/07/2021 19:26

Same here, I’m 4and a half weeks and my boobs are a bit sore but it’s bearable, I’d rather they were killing me as that would be reassuring! Oh and I keep tearing up at the olympics 🤣 other than that everything feels normal.

I’ve not tested again since the weekend but have got a couple of those tests with the week indicators, but when I had an early miscarriage before the first sign I had was the weeks thing not progressing so I’m super anxious about doing them. Has anyone else been doing them? Any tips on when to expect a 2-3 and 3+ on them!?

Sunbird24 · 27/07/2021 19:58

@ItsAlice those weeks indicators are from conception, so add on a couple of weeks to match them up with how far along you are from your last period.

I’ve booked my midwife booking in appt for 11 Aug, the day after my viability scan at the clinic. Every other time that’s been when I’ve found out I’ve had a MMC and had to call the midwife to cancel last minute, so crossing everything that this time’s the charm

GabeKhera · 27/07/2021 20:11

I am looking at this pregnancy app and thinking, how slowly time goes 😊 when I was pregnant with my boy, it was the way much less headacke 😊 don't know what to expect and it's so great 😊 all the tohoughts was dedicated thinking about the baby stuff, about the names and just being happy 😊
As now I am sitting and thinking whether I should prepare a bag for my hubby, in case they would leave me tomorrow in the hospital šŸ™„

ItsAlice · 27/07/2021 20:13

Everything crossed for you @Sunbird24 - my second loss was just before my booking appointment so I totally get where you are coming from there. I’m not booking mine until next week just so I don’t have to cancel it, but I had another big gallstone attack last night and was throwing up and fainting with the pain of it - paracetamol won’t touch the pain and I’m not going to take any medication if I can avoid it but my GP has prescribed me anti sickness and co codamol for if I need it, though I’ll try not to take it. I also rang and left a message for my surgeons secretary as I’m meant to be having my gallbladder out a week on Saturday - i need to take some advice from him about when is safest to do it as I can’t go on being in this much pain, unable to eat, for 9 months. Terrified of the idea of surgery during pregnancy though, but it’s been an issue for a while and even limiting fat to 20g a day I’m getting flare ups so I think it’s an inevitability! Feel like a fraud as I’ve not told anyone I’m pregnant and they keep talking like I’m having an op next week and I’m fairly sure I won’t be!!!

Sunbird24 · 27/07/2021 20:31

@ItsAlice oh that sounds awful, you poor thing! I know there are some surgeries they can do in pregnancy but I suppose it depends on the anaesthetic and where they need to cut. Hope they can sort out a plan for you.
I’ve not told my parents yet but a couple of people senior to me at work know, as well as my deputy, as their support is really useful

Dyra · 27/07/2021 20:51

That sounds truly awful @ItsAlice. In my somewhat limited experience (I work in obstetric theatres, but at daily meetings all pregnant inpatients in the hospital are discussed) I'm sure we've had pregnant women have a cholecystectomy before. However I think it's contraindicated in the first trimester. I hope your consultant gets back to you quickly with a plan of action.

ItsAlice · 27/07/2021 20:53

Thanks @Sunbird24 - it’s apparently the second most common non obstetric op in pregnancy and the GP (who did 4 years in obs and gynae) said it’s fairly low risk, but I’ll see. Good shout on telling work, I didn’t last time and I found it so hard. I’m going to try not to, I have my own office and my boss works in a different building so it’s easier to hide unless morning sickness gets horrific like with my daughter 🤣. Anyone else find themselves feeling like they are jinxing things by getting excited or googling pregnancy/maternity/baby stuff? I know it’s not but still!

Sunshineandgin · 27/07/2021 21:03

@ItsAlice poor you, can't imagine being in that much pain and dealing with all that on top of being pregnant!

I'm being a bit head in the sand about it today. Last month I got my bfp and had a lovely excited week thinking about it and then decided to share the news with a couple of close friends and then the bleeding started the next day. I know telling people isn't what caused it but it's kind of taken the shine off it this time. I feel like if I can make it to 7 weeks then surely it'll all be fine (if only it worked like that!)

ItsAlice · 27/07/2021 21:44

Gosh I so know what you mean, mine were longer ago so I’ve had more time to process it so it must be awfully raw for you. I told my mum friends when I found out last time and the time before, it made it more real and so this time I’m not telling them just to give myself the headspace from constantly thinking about it so maybe it’s a good decision not to say yet. Hopefully your early scan will give you reassurance - we had one at 7 weeks with our daughter and it was a huge weight off my mind. Will do the same this time too. Hope you aren’t panicking too much - I think we all have the fear when we wipe 🤣🤣 but it does get better!

Lalala1985 · 27/07/2021 22:23

@ItsAlice fingers crossed all goes well for you with the op if it goes ahead, sounds like you're in good hands.

Telling people is stressing me a bit... I definitely am not telling anyone yet, as it's so early. We're seeing my family in law for DHs parents ruby wedding when I'll be 6 wks, I'm happy to tell his parents as they are generally v supportive people if anything goes wrong. I'll probably tell my dad and my bro for my dads bday when I'm about 9weeks as they are also very supportive. My mum is the one that I'm finding difficult, we have quite a strained relationship and I know the longer I leave it, the more that will upset her, but also I know if anything was to go wrong she'll either keep on asking about it, or telling me what I did wrong.

hopeful234 · 28/07/2021 06:17

Hi all. I had a scan yesterday at 6 weeks because of the spotting. Everything was fine and they think they saw a heartbeat ā¤ļø. They didn't seem concerned about the spotting. I was still getting some brown discharge through the day after, but in the evening, when I strained to have a #2 (sorry TMI) I had quite a heavy bleed (bright red) with two very very small clots. I usually bleed after smears and think I have a sensitive and low cervix but I'm really worried. Going to call the EPU today as I'm still bleeding with some very mild cramping, though not as much, but I'm hoping it's just because they were digging round in there and have aggravated my cervix. Anyone else had anything similar?

Theimpatientworrier · 28/07/2021 07:10

@Nervyy - in terms of giving things up for me, my caffeine habit scuttled off surprisingly well, but even though I usually hit coffee hard I have switched to decaf before so maybe I just like the taste - I’m glad decaf is an option though, just love a latte! Like you @Lalala1985 I’m ditching some sport - I play netball and played last week but then panicked when I saw in the rules that they don’t allow you to play if they know you’re pregnant, so I’ve ditched for this week and sent my captain what will seem like a very odd message about maybe finding new players but forgetting we had the conversation if I do an about turn without explaining why (she will either have it totally worked out or think I’m mental).

@hopeful234 - no experience to share, but definitely call them and I’ll be hoping for you that it’s just an aggravated cervix, good that all looked fine - lots of love, I know worry is awful x

hopeful234 · 28/07/2021 08:17

@Theimpatientworrier Thank you. I called and they didn't seem concerned. They said to go to A&E if I fill a pad which I haven't been anywhere near doing, so I guess we just have to wait it out 😬x

AbD82 · 28/07/2021 08:48

Hi Everyone, congratulations to you all! I’m due 19/03/22!! It’s all been a bit of a whirlwind for us. I’m nearly 39 (2nd pregnancy but no children) and prior to getting the positive test I was undergoing tests for early menopause! Having resigned myself to the fact that children probably aren’t in my future it’s been a huge shock but a welcome one! Due to a previous miscarriage I’ve been for an early reassurance scan and thankfully got to see a tiny little heartbeat! ā¤ļø
I’ve had quite a bit of nausea, sore breasts, and disturbed sleep and am craving cheese (why can’t it be something healthy lol). We’re currently on a city break with family and have so far managed to disguise everything (thank the lord for mocktails and tonic in a gin glass) we want to wait another couple of weeks before telling anyone else! Congrats again to you all ā¤ļø
