@jade0881 hopefully breast feed, although with my first I had to introduce the bottle at three weeks due to health complications on his part but managed to do both for around 6 months. Second time round I found it so useful being able to offer bottle or boob that I decided to introduce it early to her too just so I would have option of someone else feeding if I needed them to. Will probably do the same this time x

jade0881 · 03/06/2021 11:59

@burtle4 aww yeah I understand that. I breastfeed my 1st till she was 6 months old only because I was told that I need led to as I had my first MC and the tablet they gave me would affect her if I carried on breastfeeding. With my 2nd I breast feed her till she was 2 and half years old. Not by choice. That ended when I was admitted to hospital. Now I don't know what to do with my 3rd x

Hi everyone, wanted to join in too, I'm due 29th Dec! I'm 10+1 with scan appt booked on 17th June. Have been feeling sick almost non-stop for 5 weeks and not been able to do much - starting to get very fed up with it but all good signs that baby is doing OK I suppose. This is my second one, have a DS who is 4 in Sept x

TTC94 · 03/06/2021 12:45

Hi all, hope I can join!

My EDD is 28th December 2021. This will be my first baby.

Unfortunately we spent rather a long time trying to conceive and we did experience a miscarriage too. Like so many of you, I’m very anxious and just want to have my NHS scan now. I’m going for a private scan this Saturday and my NHS scan is the 16th June. I’ll be 12+1 for my NHS scan.

My symptoms have really eased off since about 8 and a half weeks so that’s an additional source of anxiety.

Hoping and praying my little one is healthy and well.

Let’s try and be positive together xxx

jade0881 · 03/06/2021 12:46

@Newmum397 hello, congratulations and welcome to the thread. You are due a day after me. Aww bless you, I haven't had sickness with my pregnancies. I just feel tired lol.

@jade0881 I am constipated too! I suffered a bit with this before I was pregnant, nightmare!

I go for my scan next Friday and it already feels like I've been waiting a year to announce it!

Just hoping all is well still as I haven't seen my baby in 3 weeks!

I also had to have my bloods redone from when I first saw the midwife as the lab rejected it!

jade0881 · 04/06/2021 17:37

@LAR96 yes it is a nightmare. It's been easing off slightly now.

So everyone I had my 1st midwife appointment today. I couldn't believe how many questions were asked. It's been such a long time since I done all of this. I was up and down today finding the blood testing area. I was told to go antenatal clinic but once I got there it had closed and then I was told to go back to outpatients. Anyway I got it done. Other then that all went well today... can't wait for my 12 week scan...

Hope all is well today xx

@jade0881 thank you! I’m feeling okay today. But I am nervous about my 10 and a half week scan tomorrow, but I’ll be hoping after tomorrow’s scan I’ll be more relaxed.

Where abouts are you from?

I’m on a mission now to get saving! Xx

TTC94 · 04/06/2021 20:03

@jade0881 how are you feeling? Xx

jade0881 · 04/06/2021 20:39

@TTC94 aww hun yeah I'm sure you will feel much better once you see baby.

I'm based in London Walthamstow. What about you?

Thanks @jade0881 and @burtle4, glad everyone is going well so far! Have a bit of a grim Q: does anyone have tips on recovering from being sick? Have had a mint and am sipping water but doesn't seem to be doing much... also have you found that if you are sick before bed you are sick again that night? Wondering if I'm safe to get into bed or not! My morning sickness was nowhere near this bad last time so don't really know what I'm doing lol x

burtle4 · 04/06/2021 22:58

Oh no @Newmum397 how awful for you, I hate being sick 😞 I don't want to speak to soon but i'm so grateful that my morning sickness has only ever extended to nausea so far, so I haven't had to deal with actually being sick from it thank God. I've no idea if it's the same as a bug where if you're still feeling sick after your last bout it probably means you'll be sick again, but if you're relatively close to a bathroom I would go to bed and hope that lying down and relaxing will ease it 😕 Sorry i can't be of much help but I hope it eases up for you soon x

jade0881 · 05/06/2021 01:31

@Newmum397 aww bless you hun... I've heard that eating dry toast and crackers help with sickness.. try that... I hope it works for you sweetie... xx

Hi everyone, I have my 12 week scan on Friday and I am so nervous!!

I saw my baby 3 weeks ago for a private scan and everything looked great!

All my Symptoms have pretty much gone now just my boobs are a tiny bit achy!! I will be 12 weeks tomorrow.

Any one else's symptoms dropped around this time?

Thank you

jade0881 · 07/06/2021 11:27

Hello @LAR96
I can't say all my symptoms have gone as I still feel really tired and my boobs still hurt.. as for eating that has decreased slightly. I think I over did it during the early stages lol. Im 11 weeks tomorrow. Feel like I am further tho. Everyone stops me now and asks if I pregnant ....
good luck for Friday. I hope all goes well. So exciting. I have my "12 week scan" on 25th June.. I'll be 13+weeks by then

OP posts:
burtle4 · 07/06/2021 11:37

@LAR96 I'll be 12 weeks on Wednesday and feel like most of my symptoms have gone, especially the nausea thank God! I still get really physically exhausted and hungry but that's about it. I have a doppler and have been able to pick up the heartbeat this morning which is so reassuring as I still don't have my scan date through! Think I might have to give the midwife a ring...
@TTC94 how did the scan go?

LAR96 · 07/06/2021 11:44

Hi @jade0881 & @burtle4

Thank you, I will let you know how it goes Friday!

Definitely give a ring regarding the scan!

They say symptoms usually subside around this time as the placenta is taking over!

I will be 12+3 on Friday if my early reassurance dates are correct :)

jade0881 · 07/06/2021 13:53

@burtle4 how much did you pay for you Doppler? And where did you get it hun.... @LAR96 yes hun I've heard that too... x

OP posts:
burtle4 · 07/06/2021 14:58

@jade0881 I bought it years ago when I was pregnant with my first, just for a bit of reassurance after our MMC. I don't think it was that much (around £25) but it's the angel sounds one, think I got it off Amazon... it's actually been really good and I've been able to pick up the heartbeat from around 9 weeks amazingly, on my last pregnancy I couldn't hear it before around 13 weeks but I think that's because I had an anterior placenta. It's definitely been nice for a bit of reassurance while I can't feel kicks!x

jade0881 · 07/06/2021 15:47

@burtle4 aww I think I might need to invest in one... x

OP posts:
TTC94 · 07/06/2021 17:28

@burtle4 the scan went really well thank you! Everything was fine and the baby was measuring as expected, happy heartbeat and super wriggly on the screen! I’m so glad I went! Now just a week and two days until my NHS scan xx

jade0881 · 07/06/2021 17:45

@TTC94 aww that's good news guns 2so happy for you
