@LAR96 haha! I think to most i dont look pregnant but maybe i’ve put on weight kinda look

@jade0881 i think i’ve felt bits - one big one yesterday morning but i doubt myself!

jade0881 · 19/07/2021 16:14

@tuxedocat I was feeling quite a lot of movements/flutters on Saturday and some on Sunday. Don't doubt yourself hun. You will defo know when you feel something.
I'm 17 weeks 2 days today with my 5th pregnacy( minus the 2 mc). Although it's a 6:7 year gap between baby and my youngest I doubt myself too

I know....almost half way there!! Grin I felt a big kick yesterday. Started with like a wriggly rolling movement then a bit kick Smile can definitely feel her wriggle around now. She seems to prefer the left side and it's where I always find her heartbeat with the doppler Smile

2020mission · 19/07/2021 16:16

This is how my small bump looks today at 16+4. I don't think I'll be wearing this skirt for much longer given it's got a zip that might burst open 😅 I'm still not sure if I'm feeling the odd baby movements or whether it's just wind!

Any due late December
LAR96 · 19/07/2021 16:17

@jade0881 The past 2 nights I have felt something , but every time I've told my partner to pop his hand on my belly he cant, but i think its just something i can feel myself if that makes sense? not that you could feel it from the outside! LOL

LAR96 · 19/07/2021 16:18

@Curlymam88 mine is always the right side where i can get her heartbeat, funny which sides they prefer :D

jade0881 · 19/07/2021 16:25

@Curlymam88 aww that sooo sweet. And you said your 18 weeks right? I really need to her myself a Doppler... can't get one just yet 😢

jade0881 · 19/07/2021 16:27

@2020mission aww look at your bump. Most women that are first pregnant tend to look small and then pop out when they least expect it. I remember I was like that. One min my belly was flat as a pancake then boom I have a big belly. I was massive with my first baby.

jade0881 · 19/07/2021 16:28

@LAR96 yes hun that's the same with me. Every time my partner puts his hands on my belly he can't feel it. Feels nice to be the only one to feel it tho coz then you don't have everyone saying "can I feel the baby move" etc etc

LAR96 · 19/07/2021 16:30

@jade0881 agree :) I mainly feel her at night when I am in bed! x

jade0881 · 19/07/2021 16:32

@LAR96 I tend to feel baby when I'm laying on my left or right hand side.

Oh yes ladies another question lol(sorry) what side to you sleep on?

OP posts:
LAR96 · 19/07/2021 16:34

@jade0881 I try to sleep on my left but sometimes end up waking on my right! Haha x

2020mission · 19/07/2021 16:38

I know I still think I just look like I've eaten a big meal 🤣 hopefully will show as an obvious pregnancy bump soon! You all have lovely pregnancy bumps definitely all looking more pregnant than me. I'll catch up haha

I sleep equally between both sides I think. Sometimes do wake up on my back though 😬

jade0881 · 19/07/2021 16:42

Yeah I tend to sleep on both my sides. But then when googling about what is the best postion to sleep on they say left. But I can't always sleep on my left. It's not that comfortable lol

OP posts:
Curlymam88 · 19/07/2021 17:40

Yep I'm 18 weeks on Wednesday. I try to sleep.on my left too but I wake up all the time on my back!!!!!!

jade0881 · 19/07/2021 17:47

Aww, yeah everyone is different. At least I'm not the only one. I tend to sleep more on my right side with one of my legs up and the other down. 🤦🏽‍♀️

2020mission · 19/07/2021 18:37

Are you all using or planning to use a pregnancy pillow to stop you going in your backs? I'm not sure whether to get one my husband said it will take up too much of the bed 🤣

burtle4 · 19/07/2021 18:37

Luckily I naturally prefer sleeping on my left so I find it quite comfortable but I'm really missing being able to sleep on my back to give my shoulders a break 😂 I've barely felt any movements aside from the odd flutter which could easily be missed, I was worrying about it so have been using my doppler a lot for reassurance - baby can always be found on the right too! That's the side I ovulated from apparently so I wonder if it's linked?!

Curlymam88 · 19/07/2021 18:55

@2020mission yea I have a pillow but I find it takes up too much room and its too high to get my leg over to spoon it 🤣 I have a curved one. It's OK to watch TV with to support my back though and I guess it'll come in handy when baby is born with feeding.

tuxedocat · 19/07/2021 19:09

I sleep on my back! Ill turn to the side and use a pillow to rest into but it doesnt worry me.

Its only later on i think it matters but you’d wake up if it was painful or causing issues, with the weight of the baby.

2020mission · 19/07/2021 19:21

Yeah I thought that @tuxedocat I just turn when I wake up on my back and hope that I do stay on my side for most of the night. Most of the time I wake up on my side when I wake during the night for the loo (still happens, was expecting that to ease off by now)!

jade0881 · 19/07/2021 19:30

@2020mission no I wouldn't be using one of those. I didn't think it helped me at all. I was still tossing and turning lol

OP posts:
jade0881 · 19/07/2021 19:31

@burtle4 aww, you will soon feel some movement lol. How do u know what side you ovulated on. I would like to know that lol

OP posts:
jade0881 · 19/07/2021 19:33

@2020mission oh don't I keep getting up my self to go pee. At least twice in the early hours of the morning

@jade0881 they told me at one of my early scans! They said it was a useless piece of information but I found it really interesting!x
