I love Josiah! I am hoping she will look like a Mila because we cant agree on any other names haha!

jade0881 · 14/07/2021 16:41

I prefer the name Josiah myself lol... we all begin with a J so baby name has to begin with J lol

jade0881 · 14/07/2021 17:02

Mines only 5 days before that! Haha!

Is everyone else worried about Covid spreading like fire recently? Ahhhh

jade0881 · 15/07/2021 09:22

Aww bless.. to be honest I'm not worried. I have my own reason why. Are you!?

LAR96 · 15/07/2021 09:36

I live in the east midlands and its really bad here! I have had my 1st vaccine but not 2nd one yet, my sister is getting married tomorrow and lots of people have had to cancel coming as they have Covid! Can I ask why you are not worried? may ease my anxiety with it haha!

jade0881 · 15/07/2021 10:14

Oh I see so tour area has more cases? I'm from Walthamstow and we haven't had much cases in the last 24 hours. There has been about 150 people with Covid but no deaths. The population for Walthamstow is 276,980+. Over 50,000+ residents have had there second jab whilst there is a certain percentage that has only had one jab. So it's very reassuring.
Therefore there are some people who refuse to have the jab(like myself).

I think if you think about Covid it stresses you out a lot and you start thinking all kinds of things. I take each day as it comes. As long as I follow the rules with social distance then I'm alright.

My midwife on that call yesterday was asking me if I have taken or will take the covid jab... it was making me feel guilty for not having taken it yet. She said she's sending me leaflets on it through the post to help me decide but I think it will be the same as what I've read online. I haven't taken it so far and still leaning towards waiting until after pregnancy. I'm working from home so I don't feel I'm at the same risk as others and I don't like being a guinea pig with pregnancy as there's no complete trials on pregnancy/long term effect on baby yet. I do think deep down it's probably safe but probably isn't great for me. Not when I've had 16 months of TTC and 2 miscarriages to get here!

LAR96 · 15/07/2021 10:29

@jade088 most of the older people have had both jabs, it seems to be spreading really quick in children and youngsters! @2020mission I have had my first vaccine so feel a lot more safer then I did before, still awaiting my 2nd dose. Work are letting me work from home in September which would be 3rd trimester, I would of probably not had the vaccine if I was working from home :) I was so nervous getting the vaccine, you have to make easy and very hard decisions for your baby for the rest of your life xx

jade0881 · 15/07/2021 10:31

@2020mission yes I totally agree with you. I don't wanna be a guinea pig for anyone and risk my life as well as my babies. I suppose people have there own opinion on it. Even after having baby I don't think I will get it.

OP posts:
Curlymam88 · 15/07/2021 10:31

@2020mission i feel the same way. I havent had or won't be having the jab. I'd rather not take the risk. I lost a baby December at 12 weeks so don't want to risk anything at all with this baby. They sent me the leaflets through the post also. But on the leaflets it says it's up to me to make my own choice to have it or not so I won't be.
We tend to stay away from people as much as we can anyway...anti social lot we are 🤣 we just keep as safe as can be like @jade0881says.

tuxedocat · 15/07/2021 10:33

My midwives haven’t said anything about the vaccine to me yet. I said to myself I’d wait to 20w and then start making a decision.

The protein issue is still going on! My GP said I don’t have an infection so refuse to give me any medications. The midwives are confused but said they’ll see me next week and we can go from there.

jade0881 · 15/07/2021 10:33

@LAR96 yes I totally agree with you too. But this is the thing, they are blaming the children and youngsters because they are not eligible for it. Look at Wembley arena... thousand thousand people were there without masks and social distancing and yet nothing has been said about that.

OP posts:
jade0881 · 15/07/2021 10:37

@Curlymam88 yes exactly 100%.. I don't want to risk anything. I've been good and my family have good throughout this whole pandemic. Other then my dad. When he got his 1st dose of vaccine he became so ill I was shitting myself because my dad has heart problems. I told him to stick to homemade remedies and he got better.

@jade0881 I know its so silly! If I have to give birth without my partner in December I would be so mad if this gets worse :( I don't see why it was ok for football!!

@tuxedocat make sure you take another wee sample with you next week, hope everything's ok :)

jade0881 · 15/07/2021 10:38

@tuxedocat huh that doesn't make sense. So your being told one thing and then being told another.. aww hun don't stress if your gp are dating your fine then maybe you are and there was a misunderstanding x

OP posts:
jade0881 · 15/07/2021 10:39

@LAR96 exactly that's how I feel. I don't want to be on my own. I mean since the whole lockdown my neighbour had a lockdown baby and her husband was allowed on for birth but had to leave 1 hour after

OP posts:
LAR96 · 15/07/2021 10:42

@jade0881 yes my friend could only have her partner when she got to so many cm dilated and could only stay an hour after! My partner would refuse to leave anyway if this did happen, even if he had security on his back haha! My first pregnancy I would be so scared on my own! x

jade0881 · 15/07/2021 10:45

@LAR96 yes same with my partner he will stay all the way until he was ready to leave... let's all just hope our partners can be there and stay for a while x

OP posts:
LAR96 · 15/07/2021 10:47

@jade0881 fingers crossed

tuxedocat · 15/07/2021 11:00

Thanks ladies I feel alright about it I’ll see what happens next week.

The vaccine situation is so hard isn’t it. I’m worried about December big time esp if it gets worse

LAR96 · 15/07/2021 11:18

@tuxedocat me too! I think I will just have to hibernate from Oct till my baby is here LOL

LouLou0505 · 15/07/2021 11:38

We all have to stay positive and have everything crossed that by December we will be able to have our partners with us for the whole time!

I look at it as even if the outside world has more cases, hospitals are stricter with having tests so fingers crossed they won’t go backwards and put the restrictions on for us!!

Having our first baby I’m so scared I can’t have him with me but trying to stay positive 🤰🏻
