Hi all
Thought I would share my pregnancy with everyone and have a thread so we can all talk.
So I'm pregnant with my 3rd baby. Still early stages. Baby is due December 28th...

@jade0881 they changed all the asthma stuff didn’t they without telling lots? My mum is a chronic asthmatic so I remember that. Usually ours is great, so I wonder if it’s w communication error. I’ll have to check in tomorrow and make a fuss if not.

@tuxedocat yea hun exactly. My youngest daughter has chronic asthma too and my eldest has mild asthma. There is no communication at all. Yea defo make a fuss coz it's needs to be sorted ASAP. Keep us updated hun. We r all thinking of u

Hey ladies a midwife called and did my 16 week appointment over the phone instead of me going in tomorrow 🙃 so I guess no one's checking my BP or urine!

The good news is my blood results are fine. My risk for downs is 1:2548 which I think is ok considering I'm 33? I'm so relieved to have confirmation on them all.

She said I'm not meant to have maternity notes - they are digital and they haven't got the app set up for us yet (bloody nhs!)

hey @2020mission surely they should check bp & urine? I went in for my 16 week scan for those.
Have my 20 week scan on 6th august will be 20+4 days then :)
All good here, my doppler arrived yesterday in the post and I listened to her heartbeat in bed last night, it was amazing x

I know @LAR96 I'm surprised they aren't checking? They better hope I don't have high BP or protein in my urine that they've missed! My next booked midwife appointment is 22 weeks. I have my 20 week scan on the 12th August.

Yes they better hope that too!
I wont have my next midwife check up now until I am 25 weeks then I assume its every 4 weeks thereafter, I believe that's how it works?
Not long till we can see our babies again x

@LAR96 I feel like I've failed today. I still have insomnia and restless legs which is driving me mad. And therefore really exhausted in the days. I fell asleepfor 2 hours this afternoon. Its my birthday tomorrow so I'm hoping I'll be a bit more with it for that. My 20 week scan is on 5th August ill be 20+1. I've been worrying about that alot the as couple of days. I've found I know the gender now but I'm too afraid to still buy anything but in the other hand I feel like I have lots to do and get and want to make a start.
The doppler is amazing isn't it? How are you feeling?

@Curlymam88 doppler is amazing, I have been tired recently but still managing haha! Still have the odd days where I am a Miserable cow but nothing new now haha :D I found out I am having a girl and have been buying pink stuff already, I cant help myself! Lets hope they say pink at 20 weeks scan! LOL

A bit late here but I’ve always known my 16week app will be over the phone. She told me at my booking appointment. I’ll be 17 weeks tomorrow and not heard from her yet but I guess I will at some point🤷🏻‍♀️ Although our midwives are rubbish here!

I think they ask you to bring in a water sample so they can do tests

@LouLou0505 that is annoying, where are you from? I have been able to go in for all my appointments x

@LAR96 I’m in Suffolk! If I’m honest I don’t mind not seeing my midwife because she really isn’t great! I phoned last week because I was in awful pain and I’m very good with pain normally but they said until I’m 20 weeks they aren’t interested unless I bleed 👍🏼

It’s our first baby so reassurance would be nice you know!! But we saw our baby boy at the weekend so I feel much better now!xx

@2020mission that's also strange how they haven't checked your urine or bp... it's very odd. I've never known anything like that to happen x

@LouLou0505 ahh that's not very good! I think you get the most reassurance from private scans! I have had an early one and a gender private scan and they have never been so nice and took their time and explained everything! This is my first baby too! I have low iron and the midwifes I have seen haven't been great and I seem to be the one that has to chase up my own blood results, also see a different midwife every time I go!

@LAR96 - good to know I’m not the only one!! My boyfriend thinks I’m just being too sensitive (which I probably am too🙄) I know they are under pressure but the service these days at my hospital hasn’t been great from what I’ve read!!

That’s awful you have to follow up!! I found out I’m RHD negative so I’ve had to have more blood taken to test the baby but 3 weeks later I’ve still not heard anything!! I’m just waiting till I actually hear from her to ask!

@LouLou0505 ah bless you, make sure you ask when she calls, otherwise you probably wont get any answers! LOL
I think they are a bit snowed under so I think we have just got to keep on at them :)

Anyone have bad pain in your side and hip area? If it don’t get any better I may have to go to the ER 👿

@LAR96 aww how sweet. Do you have a name for her? Yes I believe he is doing well.. my appetite has changed a lot now. Not as hungry as I was in first trimester. I'm getting bigger now. I'll be 17 weeks on Saturday x

@JW2021 I get the odd pains here and there. Sometimes I get it on top of my bum cheek.. then it passes. How long you had of for?

Aww so exciting! I am still eating anything in site haha!! So far we love the name Mila, we chose this name when we first found out and we have still stuck with it for now. Have you thought of any names? x

@JW2021 I also get pains on the sides on my stomach and top of bum cheek, It is not constant and severe though. If you are worried ring your midwife :) x
