Hi all
Thought I would share my pregnancy with everyone and have a thread so we can all talk.
So I'm pregnant with my 3rd baby. Still early stages. Baby is due December 28th...

@jade0881 yes, it’s basically a private version of the downs test where they take bloods etc. It’s slightly more accurate and something the NHS offer if you did get a high risk result

The window is from 11w-14w so it’s still fine to be able to be done, the reason being after 14w baby’s lymphatic system is developed so if there WAS any excess fluid it might not be seen. 13+5 is still very much fine, If it was too late, then the NHS offer a blood test anyway so the testing still can be done.

The main reason I went was because my trust had a notice up saying they may not be able to offer the first trimester screening (Edward's, patau’s and downs) which made me concerned I’d get there, and not be offered it.

Are you all finding out gender or waiting for surprises?
I have 2 DS (16 and 6) so would love a little girl but either way i’ll be happy as long as baby is healthy.

@jade0881 I’m sure you will be! Things change so much don’t they. My sons only 3.5 and I feel like things have changed so much already!

@WeeTeej88 welcome and congrats! I found out with my son who’s 3.5 so I’m tempted by a surprised but my husband reaaaallly wants to know. Baby looks so different on the 12w compared to my son and my gut says girl so now I’m tempted to find out! I really don’t mind either way though I kind of can’t imagine having a girl after having a little boy!

Yes I will be but we are planning to do a reverse gender reveal. I have 2 daughters 12 and 6. They want a brother. I'm happy with whatever I have as long as baby is healthy

@tuxedocat Thank you and Congratulations to you too. I found out gender with both my boys as I don’t think I have patience to wait and partner definitely does not so we’ll be going for private gender scan at 16 weeks.
I was absolutely convinced i was having a girl with my second son but this time around i don’t have a gut feeling at all.
Have you had your dating scan yet? x

I’ve not had my NHS dating scan but I had private 12w scan on Saturday. My NHS scan will be next week 😊 have you?
My gut said boy last time, and my husband said girl. I was right, and now this time I said girl, he says boy 😂 but I’ve felt much worse this pregnancy, suffered with some nausea, fatigue whereas with my son I couldn’t even tell I was pregnant! So I’m intrigued to say the least as I know it can also mean nothing 😂

Ahh everyone needs to let us know at their gender scans! I have booked an early private gender scan on the 3rd July! All my family are saying girl but I have no idea! Already have a 3 year old step son so girl would be nice, but then he would love a little brother! So exciting!

Defo need to see who has what.. @tuxedocat I reckon you will have a little girl..

I had my NHS scan today and so relieved to say everything looked great! Baby was being really awkward to start with, wedged itself in the corner and kept turning away from the screen 😂 Had to do a crazy hip wriggle and after that they managed to get the measurements they needed!

EDD has moved from 22nd December to 18th so thought I was 12+5 today but actually dating at 13+2. Not complaining as makes me further ahead and further away from Christmas but don't understand as it would mean i ovulated on CD 7 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

Now just to wait for the screening results 🤞

@tuxedocat in my previous pregnancies i looked sooo good lol my hair was so long, thick and glossy and my skin was smooth and glowing.
This time however, i look and feel like utter shit greasy hair, spotty skin (which i’ve never had) the worst sore boobs ever and feel like i could sleep my entire pregnancy! To top it off i had COVID a few weeks ago which felt like hell on earth
I dunno if the whole symptoms/gender thing carries any truth but if it does then i’d say i’m having a girl this time lol

@WeeTeej88 isn’t it crazy how different they can all be! I always heard of the old wives tale about girls stealing your looks etc 😂 i wonder where the sayings come from it always makes me chuckle! We’ll have to keep tabs on everyone’s guesses and see if we are right! Good luck for Friday ❤️

@burtle4 congrats and fingers crossed for your screening results! So funny how the hip thrusts can make them move around isn’t it? I never understand either how they can date forward but it must be down to the rate of growth etc. Mind boggling! They must make sense of it somehow.

@burtle4 aww congratulations hun. Your further then you thought. Baby look healthy. So happy for you hun. I can do a little guess on what your having. (Sorry I love guessing)... I can't wait for my dating scan now. Still got some time to wait.. so happy for you huni x

@WeeTeej88 aww hun you are not alone.. in my previous pregnancy I was exactly the same as you. Glowing, long hair, nails were getting longer, I felt good. This time round, my boobs are sore, spots are appearing, blotchy skin, dry patches here there and everywhere. I feel like my pregnancy is different compared to my 2 daughters

@WeeTeej88 see I think I might be having a boy. Just coz the way I feel in this pregnancy... it's a lot different to my previous pregnancies with my daughters. But I'm happy with whatever I am having

@jade0881 Its so strange how each pregnancy can be different eh?
Sometimes i wonder if just getting older in general has caused worse symptoms this time around for me lol my oldest is 16 and my youngest is nearly 7 so i have pretty big gaps between mine too.
I guess we’ll find out soon at gender scan
I would love a little girl to have some balance in my house lol it would also complete our family too as this will most definitely be our last.
I love my boys beyond words though so another one to love would also be amazing x

@jade0881 yes please do give me your guess! I'm rubbish at recognising the nub theory but very interested in any opinions! I have a gut feeling about what we're having but obviously could be completely wrong....x
