So exciting @lucyrp must be such an overwhelming feeling! Xx

Kirky658 · 26/07/2021 11:23

@lucyrp I was thinking about you earlier, how exciting!!!! Have you finished work now? Xx

lucyrp · 26/07/2021 11:42

@Kirky658 nope! Still have 5 days left to do this week. My last day is Saturday πŸ˜… cannot wait! Xx

Kirky658 · 26/07/2021 11:58

@lucyrp I don't know how you're doing it mate! Not long to go now thank goodness ❀️

I'm working this week, on leave next week then it's my last week wooohooooooo x

Justanothercyster · 26/07/2021 14:35

@lucyrp yay! So exciting 😁 I'll be doing the same as you and working right up until 39 weeks πŸ™ˆ not long to go for you!

OP posts:
lucyrp · 26/07/2021 16:05

@Kirky658 I'm not really managing more struggling 🀣

@Justanothercyster that's what I'm hoping anyway πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ only mentally prepared myself to go to 38 weeks so I should probably tell myself I may have longer to wait 🀣 but then I don't want w huge baby soπŸ˜“

Kirky658 · 26/07/2021 16:08

@lucyrp I'm struggling now so goodness knows how you are doing! I can't cope today, just can't concentrate at all I'm so exhausted πŸ˜₯

lucyrp · 26/07/2021 16:10

@Kirky658 I worked Friday until yesterday and I have a day off today so DS and I have been swimming, but back to it tomorrow for 5 days in a row πŸ˜… thankfully I have a first aid course for one of those days so will be sat down πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

2020mission · 26/07/2021 18:43

Great news @lucyrp I hope you don't have long to wait and baby turns up bang on 38 weeks 🀞 I can't believe it's been 9 months already!

Justanothercyster · 28/07/2021 20:13

Does anyone else find that baby's feet go way low down almost into foof region sometimes? He/ she is kicking me down there and it's bloody uncomfortable!

OP posts:
lucyrp · 28/07/2021 20:34

@Justanothercyster yep had plenty of cervix kicks for a number of weeks! Wasn't pleasant !

Justanothercyster · 28/07/2021 20:36

@lucyrp it's painful! Makes me jump sometimes too people look at me weird πŸ˜‚

lucyrp · 28/07/2021 20:37

@Justanothercyster OH used to look at me funny because I'd Yelp out loud every time 🀣

Kate105 · 29/07/2021 08:04

This week my baby has learned how to kick with both feet at the same time and I am not loving it πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ

Kirky658 · 29/07/2021 13:04

@kate105 that's brilliant 🀣

Kate105 · 29/07/2021 20:36

@Kirky658 I can assure you it's not brilliant at 4am! πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ my midwife this week reckons he/she is spreadeagled back to back for maximum wiggle room... Thanks child!

Kirky658 · 29/07/2021 20:40

@kate105 you have my sympathies, pretty sure our DD is spread eagled too, feeling most kicks on the right of my belly button but I get this tickling twingy sensation on my public bone that turns me sick!

2020mission · 29/07/2021 21:01

Reading all this I feel like I should enjoy the lack of movement I've got at 18 weeks while it lasts πŸ˜… I get the odd tapping feeling or pressure now in the evenings but still could just be mistaken as gas. The foof pain sounds bad!

Kate105 · 29/07/2021 22:18

Oh yes @2020mission it's all fun and games until you get a well-aimed kick halfway through your tea and then you can't finish the rest of it because you feel so sick!

Justanothercyster · 30/07/2021 12:28

Ah yeah the pubic bone pain sucks, it often feels like baby is stuck in there, but it seems to be having a disco all around most times πŸ₯³

Hi all
Finally on maternity leave and what a relief it is.
@lucyrp are you hanging in there can't be long now?

How's everybody else doing?

I had a growth scan today and she is measuring pretty big 3.5pounds already, so to get another diabetes test on Wednesday as last one came back borderline.
Very flexible baby as she had her legs/ feet over her head lol xx

lucyrp · 02/08/2021 18:49

@DJmum83 yeah I'm still here unfortunately! Been feeling pretty stressed this last week as the pressure builds to get baby out by the end of this week as DS was born at 38+5 which will be this Friday for me. He was 8lb 1oz and this baby was measuring 6lb 15oz two weeks ago so this one will be big too πŸ˜“ glad to have finished work on Saturday though! Feeling much more relaxed. How far along are you now ?

2020mission · 02/08/2021 19:42

Fingers crossed baby comes this week @lucyrp! It must be so annoying in the last weeks just waiting. Feeling as prepared as can be?

@DJmum83 glad to hear your maternity leave has started, must be a relief!

I'm only 18+4 feeling so far behind everyone πŸ˜… but I'm in the good part where I'm showing a little bit now and feeling back to normal like I did pre pregnancy except for needing to pee more often.

Curious for anyone who got pregnancy stretch marks, when did they appear? I'm sure I will get some but wondering how soon.

DJmum83 · 02/08/2021 21:03

@lucyrp I'm 28+2 weeks.
Glad your finished work take the pressure off you a bit.
I hope baby comes before 39 weeks for you the waiting is just the worst.
Xx

lucyrp · 02/08/2021 21:06

@2020mission yeah everything's ready! Just waiting on baby!

@DJmum83 oh wow you finished early! Yeah the waiting is horrible, and the not knowing. Like it could be today, tomorrow, next week or in 3 weeks! Zz
