Also in other news I have bought new bras and OMG I feel amazing... Fuck the no underwire rule! I have E cups to support for gods sake! Bye bye granny bras (for now πŸ˜‚)

Kirky658 · 26/05/2021 21:07

@lucyrp it's reassuring to know that you struggled with the pains too.
@kate105 awww yay! Lovely pics and you have a great bump.

I think it's fascinating how much everyone's bumps can differ! That's why I feel like measuring your bump isn't the most reliable way to check growth as everyone is so different...

Justanothercyster · 26/05/2021 21:12

@Thinkingandblinking yay! Glad screening results went well, but sorry boss is being an arse. What's he doing?

@SamoyedFan123 oh no! Hope you're better fully soon x

@lucyrp glad your apt went well, very exciting x

@Kirky658 awww cute bump x

@Kate105 oh man I desperately need new bras, where did you get yours from?

Current bump pic at 16+4. 2 people at work commented on how big I am suddenly πŸ˜‚ one of them was like "bloody hell where did that come from?" I honestly seem to have grown overnight again even though I'm not even that big yetπŸ™ˆ

@justanothercyster awwww likewise yours is lovely and cute! I remember when mine suddenly popped it was the best feeling! Consultant appt for me today, bets being taken on how late they'll be for my appt...

lucyrp · 27/05/2021 06:44

@Kate105 aw glad the rescan went well! My OH just thought I looked fat for ages 🀣 how many weeks are you now ?? Lovely bump! How do you find underwire comfortable ?!πŸ˜‚ I've been in crop top type bras since about 12 weeks and finally got a non wired proper bra fitted about 8 weeks ago and it's the only actual bra I have that kind of fits πŸ˜‚ and I'm an F cup πŸ€ͺ

@Kirky658 yes they were annoying !

Kate105 · 27/05/2021 07:43

22 weeks now! Can't believe it's over half way πŸ™ˆ bras are just M&S @Justanothercyster so nothing special but at least they look nice and I can have matching undies! They also don't have industrial width straps πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I was like that for the first 12 weeks @lucyrp but once they stopped growing and settled down, they've been fine! I've been wearing my new bras to work all week and I've felt so much better supported πŸ™ŒπŸ» I live in the country so no decent shops like brav nearby, so I've had to just order stuff online, with mixed success...

Kate105 · 27/05/2021 07:44

@Kirky658 I'm going to go for a solid 45 minutes πŸ˜‚ hope it's not though! X

lucyrp · 27/05/2021 07:59

@Kate105 I think mine are growing again so won't be buying anything for a while until I know what they'll be settling like 🀣 yeah I live in mid wales so nearest Marks and Spencer is an hour away πŸ™ˆ I hate bra shopping with a passion, also recently found out how shit high street shops are at measuring for bras as they do the +4 rule so you're better doing your BOB measurement which places me at a 32F where as Marks and Spencer placed me as a 38D 🀨

SamoyedFan123 · 27/05/2021 10:02

All your cute, neat bumps are making me jealous - I feel like a whale these days. Here's my nearly 34 week (with humongous 36 week sized baby!) bump pic. It feels way bigger than it looks there, but I've put so much weight on my bum and boobs that they are balancing it out 🀣🀣🀣

@kirky658 we are consultant app buddies today - I've got a growth scan and app this afternoon too, if they let me in the hospital that is as I'm absolutely streaming with this awful cold still and look/feel like death warmed up 😭

Kirky658 · 27/05/2021 10:13

@kate105 I hope you're right as that would be amazing 🀣 I've told work I'll be out all afternoon so it would be nice to be back for 4!

@samoyedfan123 you don't look huge at all for how far gone you are! You look fab. Nice consultant buddies! Hope your scan goes well. I think mines just a chat tbh, the midwife openly said to me he might well ask why you're there so that's good πŸ˜…

lucyrp · 27/05/2021 12:41

@SamoyedFan123 pretty sure I'm bigger than you and still 6 weeks behind 🀣

Kirky658 · 27/05/2021 16:38

So I went to see the consultant, waste of time, he didnt know why the midwife had referred me and said my endo won't affect my pregnancy. Told him about the pains I'd been having and he shrugged it off as 'many pains happen during pregnancy, it's probably scar tissue stretching'. Asked if I could have bloods done to check for anemia, got told midwife will do those in 4 weeks time. Oh what fun! Least I got an afternoon off work!

lucyrp · 27/05/2021 16:52

@Kirky658 he sounds like an arse! I was going to say you'd get bloods done at 28 weeks when I asked you how many weeks you were. If you're really concerned you can ask your doctor to do them !

SamoyedFan123 · 27/05/2021 17:41

@Kirky658 sorry your consultant was a bit of an arse - some of them are!
I think if you called your MW now and explained your symptoms she might do the iron test earlier for you. Or just start the spatone supplements now anyway - they won't do you any harm and pregnacare is often not enough iron by itself - your supposed to take pregnacare with meals but carbs and dairy stop iron being absorbed properly so it's a bit useless. Put the spatone liquid in orange juice and drink it 30 minutes before any food - it works wonders.

I'm pretty happy - my scan today showed that my humongous baby (still 95th centile) has finally turned head down so now just need to hope he stays there 🀞🀞🀞 had a great chat with consultant about VBAC and induction so feeling less stressed. Just want rid of this bloody streaming cold now!

lucyrp · 27/05/2021 18:00

@Kirky658 I must add I contacted my doctor about getting bloods done a few weeks back because I was getting light headed a lot and turned out it was a lack of vitamin D

2020mission · 27/05/2021 18:56

Oh that's interesting that a lack of vitamin D causes you to get light headed @lucyrp I've been taking vitamin D with folic acid since starting TTC and just never stopped. I was surprised given I have quite low blood pressure and can feel dizzy in normal times just from standing up too quickly, that I haven't had any of that in pregnancy so far. Will keep taking those!

Does anyone know how many cannulas of bloods I'm likely to have taken at my 12 week scan/booking appointment? My booking appointment was over the phone today so they'll be doing them all after the scan in 3 weeks. I get lightheaded most of the time with bloods/injections so hoping it doesn't take too long. The fertility testing bloods took less minute which was fine but that was only 2 cannulas.

Kirky658 · 27/05/2021 19:10

@lucyrp @samoyedfan123 yep he was alright just a bit condescending really. It was funny because my neighbour who'd just had her baby had been told he was the nicest, best consultant in our hospital, lol. I will see how I go with the tiredness etc as its not been as bad last couple of days and then contact the midwife next week if it starts up again. @samoyedfan123 great news that the little one has moved into position, game on!

I try and take my pregnacare at lunchtime but used to take it in the mornings, I had read you should take it at a different time to bloodthinners and I'm taking my aspirin morning and night now. It was more this pain I'd been worrying about tbh but now he's said it doesn't appear to be anything to worry about guess I'll just have to put it down to the scar tissue stretching.

@2020mission if I remember rightly I think it was about 4 vials at my booking appt. X

Justanothercyster · 27/05/2021 19:52

@Kate105 ah I was going to go to M&S. I'm normally only a B cup but I'm spilling out left right and centre! Loving it.

@SamoyedFan123 you look amazing 😍

@Kirky658 doctors can be so useless at times, what a tool he sounds!

I forgot to mention, this past week I think I've been feeling flutters, very exciting. It's a weird sensation. Because my placenta is anterior I was told I wouldn't feel anything or it would be less sensitive until after 20 weeks but I know I'm not imagining it! Mainly in bed at night and the odd one during the day.
How far along were you girl when you first felt flutters?

OP posts:
Kirky658 · 27/05/2021 19:57

@justanothercyster I have an anterior placenta too. I felt flutters around 17 or 18 weeks but didn't realise that's what it was at the time! Didn't feel movement properly til about 22.5 weeks x

Justanothercyster · 27/05/2021 21:20

@Kirky658 it's such an amazing feeling but I'm looking forward to feeling proper kicks. I know I'll probably be fed up of it when it keeps me awake at night but what a miracle this process is right?! We're growing humans!

OP posts:
Kirky658 · 27/05/2021 21:43

@justanothercyster it's the weirdest, most amazing sensation. I often sit just watching my belly move now 😍

Kirky658 · 28/05/2021 06:15

@kate105 forgot to tell you, I only waited 5 mins for my appointment so you sent good vibes clearly hahhaa x

Florence13 · 29/05/2021 08:42

Hey ladies,

Sorry fell off the wagon for a bit been super busy at work and doing lots of overtime to save some extra pennies for little bean.

All of your bumps are looking lovely and think I am another one that may need to invest in some bras shortly.

@Kirky658 sorry to hear the consultant was a bit of an arse but sounds like everything is well.

@SamoyedFan123 glad baby is head down will keep my fingers crossed baby stays that way.

DJmum83 · 29/05/2021 10:04

Morning everyone.

I totally fell off the radar I have been trying to sort myself out. I'm feeling a bit better but still have very down days.
Midwife wanted me back on my anti depressants but I don't want to take them until I have had baby.

Other than that things going fine 20 week scan next Monday. I'm still not really feeling her move so thinking my placenta is at the front because I felt my others a lot sooner.

We are going to the cinema today which I'm looking forward to some normality.

I managed to sell my blue Pram and got a new 1 delighted with it.

How is everybody else doing?

Has anybody bought their Pram yet?
I have also got the chicco next to me crib this time.
Xx

Kirky658 · 29/05/2021 10:30

@djmum83 as if its your 20 week scan soon, how quickly has that gone!!! I'm 24+3 now it's flying by. We've got our pram, we got the ickle bubba stomp v3 travel system xx
