Hey Smile

So I’m probably one of the First Ladies on here to be due in 2022! My due date is Jan 1st 2022 - New Year’s Day.

I am actually not due on AF until this Thursday coming but have had strong positives for the last 2 days so keeping everything crossed!

Is there any other 2022 mums yet?

@thelittlepeanut I've booked, I called gp they gave me a number to call. Their lines where only open 9-12 m-f and I work during them times and didn't want to risk being overheard on the phone so my partner called and booked. My appointment is 27th may, believe I'll be 8w+4 ☺️x

Missingcoffee22 · 28/04/2021 12:07

I haven't contacted anyone yet but I'm just going to self refer to the hospital I want, they have a length online form. I am avoiding the hospital I used before partly because we have moved further south, almost out of the Borough and partly because I just didn't have a great time...

Joanna0x · 28/04/2021 12:25

@Missingcoffee22 I feel the same about the hospital by me.

I've contacted the gp but because I have no idea when I'm due its going to be awkward haha!

MrsFLongbottom · 28/04/2021 12:28

I’ve emailed the hospital nearest to me, it says I should get a form within 3 days. I’m undecided if I want to go there again or go to the main one in my city after my last experience, although the labour ward and team were amazing just post natal was dreadful. Our community services are linked now though so my understanding is I can change at any time, and I’ll be asking for an elective c section so it might be a case of where there is space!

Missingcoffee22 · 28/04/2021 12:30

@Joanna0x ah that is a bit tricky! They should be able to handle that for you though... how big a range could it be?

Missingcoffee22 · 28/04/2021 12:33

@MrsFLongbottom yeah you can normally change partway and I guess the benefit is you can have your appointments at the nearest one and then change nearer the date? I believe you can do that even if the services aren't linked, just more paperwork required.

Joanna0x · 28/04/2021 12:36

@Missingcoffee22 it won't be that big but I've not had a period since January because of breastfeeding and I wasn't tracking ovulation or when I could have conceived

@MrsFLongbottom I'm sorry you had poor post natal care, my labour with my last baby was not the best and really upset me for a long time, so I will probably avoid that hospital

MrsFLongbottom · 28/04/2021 13:20

@Joanna0xaa I’ve not got as big a range as you, but have also been breastfeeding until last week and periods were all over the place so it’s a bit of guess work! Hoping the dating scan clears it up a bit haha- fingers crossed they can work it out for you!

If I’m honest I think all the hospitals have their weak spots- a school friend works at my nearest one as a midwife which is super helpful, but also you hear all the bad bits too haha!

lori2019 · 28/04/2021 13:20

Are any of you getting symptoms yet? Both yesterday and today I've been really light headed after lunch. I'm on progesterone from the ivf so not sure whether to email the clinic of that could be the cause.

Missingcoffee22 · 28/04/2021 13:26

@MrsFLongbottom totally agree you always hear the horror stories.
We partly just got unlucky as it was a bank holiday and they were really understaffed. I did have problems throughout eg losing referral letters. And some of it is my own issues - my MH was bad and I don't want to be reminded of it all!
@lori2019 I swear I'm feeling a similar sickness and tiredness already, but it could be in my head! My toddler tried to feed me orange this morning and it made me want to vom.

RHODXB · 28/04/2021 15:10

Can I join! Found out yesterday but had cramping and spotting so keeping everything crossed. According to app I am due jan 4th! My dd will be 10 on jan 15th!! Confused

Hi Everyone!
I'm due 01 January too! So exciting to see so many others here too Grin
Hopefully it goes well for us all.
It's been alright for me so far, some cramps/twinges from time to time, super tired all the time and loads of cravings.
How's it been for everyone else?
Any first-timers here too? x

Yay due date buddies! Congratulations.
Portlandia · 28/04/2021 16:04

Congratulations all the pregnant ladies!
I'm 3 days overdue af, and suspect I'm up the duff as I feel distinctly different to normal for the last few weeks. My boobs only got bigger and heavier a few days before I was due rather than from ovulation time, and are bigger than normal. Also I'm more bloated and gassy than normal, keep waking up around 3am feeling hot, more thirsty than usual and in a better mood than usual for this time of the month. But I tested negative yesterday late in the afternoon, and the day before I was due. I'm going to try and hold off testing again for at least 3 days, but oh, the waiting!!
It'll be my first child if I am pregnant.
I'll keep you posted!

Clarkey86 · 28/04/2021 16:08

Congrats @RHODXB and @NgN90!
And fingers crossed for @Portlandia

RHODXB Hopefully just a bit of implantation spotting and cramping

Thank you! x

So exciting too see so many others with similar dates!

@NgN90 this is my first - I’ve never been so excited and nervous at the same time!

@RHODXB I had really spotting from around 12dpo for 4 days. It was worrying at the time but it’s stopped now so I expect it was implantation! My GP said it can be fairly common for many reasons and not to worry unless it got heavier.

Portlandia · 28/04/2021 17:19

Thanks 🙂

UghWaitingForTheSugarCrash · 28/04/2021 18:09

Congratulations all Smile

Anyone with same due date as me? I'm due Jan 3rd!

Clarkey86 · 28/04/2021 18:55

Is anyone else already mourning the loss of the wine Grin

Missingcoffee22 · 28/04/2021 19:00

@Clarkey86 I had been having a cheeky g&t a couple of times a week I will definitely miss. But right now I am mourning the loss of my afternoon coffee(s)!!!

thelittlepeanut · 28/04/2021 19:04

@lori2019 I feel sick in the afternoons which is the same as with ds. I think light headedness could be totally normal, but if you're unsure it's always best to double check just so you can put your mind at rest!

Thanks ladies, think I'll fill out the self referral form tomorrow. Nervous and excited at the same time!

Just been out to the pub for an early dinner with some friends and had to deal with the old 'why aren't you drinking?' question. Not looking forward to the next couple months of this!

NgN90 · 28/04/2021 19:58

Hahaa exactly the same feelings here! But I feel really good about this. I have no January people in my family so this'll be the first too 😅
Missingcoffee22 · 28/04/2021 20:19

@NgN90 I am 4th and my husband 8th so it wasn't really our best timing haha! But I was far too excited to have another baby to skip a month!
