Hey Smile

So I’m probably one of the First Ladies on here to be due in 2022! My due date is Jan 1st 2022 - New Year’s Day.

I am actually not due on AF until this Thursday coming but have had strong positives for the last 2 days so keeping everything crossed!

Is there any other 2022 mums yet?

I’m also on another fb group from my little boy and it has been amazing, so supportive! Will probably wait a few weeks to join this one though just to be a bit more confident that all is going ok 😊

@FayeMiM it might be worth making the group secret as well as private? Bit more security until we’ve all told people in real life!

I was considering telling my family early but then yesterday my sister announced her pregnancy at 13 weeks- amazing new but also now waiting a few weeks for her to enjoy it haha.

FayeMiM · 27/04/2021 19:53

@MrsFLongbottom yes there are lot's of fantastic groups out there and it is so important that you find ones that fit you 💝
I run a few as I want to reach as many mums and mums-to-be as possible. I am a midwife and totally dedicated to supporting, connecting and providing my members with accurate info and advice xxx
I totally get what you are saying about the privacy settings but I want other "just found out" ladies to be able to find the group as well xxx

SeriousComedienne · 27/04/2021 20:03

Hi all! Hope it’s okay if I join here I got my first ever BFP a few days ago after trying for nearly 2.5 years!!

My due date would be 31st December! I’m so nervous as it’s taken us so long to get here, frantically testing everyday!

thelittlepeanut · 27/04/2021 20:11

@Zm2019 yeah I still haven't really got my head around it 😅 is that a private scan you're having?

@LadyHalesBroach hoping this one sticks for you 🤞🏼 how long was your labour with dd? I had a really long labour with ds and not sure I can handle that again lol

lori2019 · 27/04/2021 20:43

Back from the fertility clinic and my beta is 600. Next step is a scan in 2 weeks. It's taken so long to get to this point I have no idea how I'm going to relax and take each day as it comes

Missingcoffee22 · 27/04/2021 20:47

@lori2019 ah I can't imagine how it must be for you after so much time trying... I don't have any experience but I suspect the answer is probably with great difficulty. Every day is a win!

LadyHalesBroach · 27/04/2021 21:09

@thelittlepeanut I was in labour for a few days but I had a 3 hour second stage but no assistance. About a year later the consultant said I’d need surgery to repair the damage but best to wait until after finished having a family. Long story short, I’ll be needing a c section. Shame as I’d like to do a vaginal birth again but not risking further damage.

Joanna0x · 27/04/2021 21:23

@thelittlepeanut advice at the moment is hard because this is one the hardest parts of pregnancy the wait until you get the scan! Just keep taking your vitamins and try to rest whilst you can 😊

dano99 · 27/04/2021 21:26
@dano99 congratulations!!!

How are you feeling? Morning sickness is hitting hard for me.
Oh no!! Hope your getting as much rest as you can!

Sickness hasn't hit me yet, but I've got a awful blocked nose which started about a week ago, it's not a cold it's just constantly blocked and bad at night, I thought it was hay fever before my bfp but tablets didn't help then once I got my bfp I googled and apparently a constant blocked nose is a pregnancy Symptom! So I'm 4w2 and already getting no sleep 🤣🤣

Missingcoffee22 · 27/04/2021 21:33

@dano99 my nose was aaaawful in my first pregnancy. I breathe through my mouth at night anyway but it was extra bad.
Not fair how hard it is to sleep at every stage of pregnancy, when you are shattered anyway!

So glad someone can relate! I feel like I'm constantly moaning about it to my partner but I'm such a nose breather! If I breath via mouth I get sore throat and my breathing goes all out of whack🙈 I knew babies stole your sleep but come on 4w pregnant is abit crazy to be loosing sleep in my eye I wasn't ready for that🤣

Ralala · 27/04/2021 21:44

Hi all, tentatively popping my toe in. BFP today with a due date of 5th Jan.

I would also love a FB group but a private and secret group with mumsnet ladies. The group that has been posted is by someone who isn’t even pregnant. Sorry @FayeMiM, I’m sure you mean well but your group isn’t for me.

@MrsFLongbottom I am on same thinking as you. I had a lovely group of mumsnet mums on a fb birthing group. It’s super early days though for a group though I think

Missingcoffee22 · 27/04/2021 21:55

@dano99 I wish I wasn't a mouth breather. I wake up with a horrid mouth and sometimes get sleep apnea... so not fun haha.
Haha yeah you don't hear about these things before you get pregnant do you!

Missingcoffee22 · 27/04/2021 22:02

@Ralala my group is the same as that 😊

Clarkey86 · 27/04/2021 22:08

Hi ladies

Can I join you? I had a positive this morning on a FRER so am due I think 8th Jan putting me at 3wks 3days. Currently have a 4 year old little girl.

Lost my mum suddenly a couple of months ago so although I am very happy to be having another little bambino as we’d always planned, I also have a lot of other emotions mixed in!

It’s nice to find others in the very early days for that support network, fingers crossed we all have a smooth ride!

MrsFLongbottom · 28/04/2021 05:47

@Clarkey86 I’m so sorry about your mum, that must be really tough.

I’ve also had a really stuffy nose and had no idea it could be because of pregnancy! I hope it doesn’t last the whole time. I seem to have completely different symptoms this time to last time, no sickness, but sort of achey and funny temperatures.

Ralala · 28/04/2021 07:18

@Missingcoffee22 yay! It’s great isn’t it. Absolutely would love another fb group but I just found out so need to let it all sink in before I join one. Our one is completely secret and you need to be emailed a link to join. I was hoping and thinking we could create a group like that for this thread too soon xx

Missingcoffee22 · 28/04/2021 07:33

@Clarkey86 so sorry about your mum. Congratulations on your bfp. It is good finding others in the same boat isn't it.

Missingcoffee22 · 28/04/2021 07:35

@Ralala totally agree. We can sort it when everyone feels a bit more relaxed. And there will be lots more January bfp yet! I didn't join the mn thread until I was 12 weeks last time, but quite regretted not having people to discuss the crazy first trimester wait with. Nice to be here, even if it's all very fresh!

Clarkey86 · 28/04/2021 07:52

I agree about the Facebook group, it’s still super early days for us all too so personally I’ll wait a few weeks before I feel a bit more confident :)

My boobs are sooo sore at the sides, it’s like my bras suddenly don't fit and are really digging in. I need to invest in some really comfy non-underwired bras already I think.

Missingcoffee22 · 28/04/2021 08:00

@Clarkey86 do it! My boobs hurting were what made me realise I was pregnant before, but this time it hasn't started yet. Funny how different every pregnancy is.

MerlinK4 · 28/04/2021 08:24

My boobs were my giveaway too. They're SO SORE and if my nipples brush against anything I wince. They've deflated a bit, but off to M&S for a super comfy, bigger bra at the weekend I think. I can't imagine ever letting a baby suckle on them, if they feel this bad now Blush

Missingcoffee22 · 28/04/2021 09:27

@MerlinK4 they get better!!

thelittlepeanut · 28/04/2021 11:19

Ladies, have you already contacted midwife/GP? It's self referral in my area and not sure if I should wait another week or two before getting in touch? Can't remember when I contacted them with ds...

Dreamer30 · 28/04/2021 11:39

@thelittlepeanut I have. I called the GP on Monday and she said to look on the NHS website under pregnancy triage and it directed me to the booking appointment. It had the email address for my local hospital so I just emailed and they sent me back a form that I had to fill out and email back, then they gave me my booking appointment 😊
