Hey Smile

So I’m probably one of the First Ladies on here to be due in 2022! My due date is Jan 1st 2022 - New Year’s Day.

I am actually not due on AF until this Thursday coming but have had strong positives for the last 2 days so keeping everything crossed!

Is there any other 2022 mums yet?

@NightDreaming

Has anyone else got cramping pains? I know it can be a totally normal side of pregnancy but after 3 miscarriages it’s just making me so edgy. Have a mini semi of dread before each pee in case there’s blood on the tissue. Gah. 😢.

Please tell me about your happy pregnancy-ness, honestly need to hear some nice things to remind me pregnancy can be good.

Yes I have had cramping, I have found that each subsequent pregnancy I always feel a bit more crampy each time.

I'm definitely going to start Iron and Vitamin D, I actually struggle swallowing tablet's so I take take all separately so that they are smaller, the pregnacare tablet's are huge!

RHODXB · 30/04/2021 05:03

@NightDreaming I've had lots of cramping and was bleeding at first too. Cramping is still here But bleeding has stopped and pregnancy tests have been getting darker/stronger each time so keeping fingers crossed. It is so hard not to worry. I definitely had very severe cramping and stretching pains in the first trimester with my first and she is just fine so I do know it can be normal xx

Hi lovelies. Hoping someone can shed some light.
I got my bfp on Sunday there 2 days after a missed period with a clearblue that said 1-2 weeks. Last night I done an cheapie and it was stark white! So I panicked and done another clearblue that still had pregnanct 1-2 weeks but I'm 5 weeks? So shouldn't it say 2-3 now? Then this morning done another cheapie and it's still negative and I have brown spotting.
I won't be doing anymore tests now I just wanted the cheapie positive as a keepsake
So worried that this isn't meant to be.

lori2019 · 30/04/2021 06:58

@Dreamer30 is there anyway you could have a blood test done to check your hcg levels? Maybe you ovulated a few days later than you think you did.

Ralala · 30/04/2021 07:51

@Dreamer30 in the nicest way. Step away from the tests. The hcg in urine can be affected by timing, what you have drank before etc. If it helps in anyway I had a miscarriage and showed positive tests for 6 weeks after. Xxx

MrsFLongbottom · 30/04/2021 09:09

@Dreamer30 I think this stage is the hardest in some ways because of feeling so uncertain. I’m not sure how accurate the dating tests are and internet cheapies can be unreliable - I didn’t get a positive result in my first pregnancy until more than 7 days after the first day of my missed period and I used to be like clockwork. And even then it was very faint! Maybe give it a few days before you test again and the hormone levels will have increased?

Dreamer30 · 30/04/2021 11:22

Thanks ladies for your advice. Don't want to ask for bloods atm as I know it's still early and some doctors are like 🙄 I'll have to wait it out and hope things are alright. I got a call from the nurse yesterday at my doctors surgery saying the hospital passed on my details and to just go for a wee checkup (weight, height etc) so if things seem off I can always ask then

NightDreaming · 30/04/2021 12:00

Thank you all for your responses. No less cramping today but beginning to feel a little queasy, least I think I am. It’s not a strong feeling and I’m struggling to work out if I’m actually feeling sick or I want to be feeling it. Which feels like a daft place to be, not being able to work out what my own body is feeling. Will try just to calm down and let things take their natural course.

@Dreamer30 I’m sorry you are going through that, sounds really tough. I think Ralala is right and you should step back from testing. Which is much easier said then done. Thinking of you though. xx

Hi all! Going to hop on if thats ok! Had a bfp this morning after feeling off the last few days.. knew it wasn't all in my head!! I have a 5 month old too so I think me and dp qualify to be certified absolutely bonkers? EDD of Jan the 8th!

Congratulations everyone😊.. is anyone suffering with bad nausea already? It's started so much more earlier this time around!!

Due 1st Jan 2022
Clarkey86 · 30/04/2021 14:40

Welcome MummaBear! We have the same due date 🥰

I don’t think your bonkers at all, getting all the sleepless nights out the way in one go and you don’t “forget how to do it” with a newborn like I feel like I have 🤪

Clarkey86 · 30/04/2021 14:40

Touch wood I didn’t have any nausea last time so I’m hoping for the same again! I’m a teacher and the thought of having to run out of the classroom to be sick fills me with dread 🤒

Missingcoffee22 · 30/04/2021 16:18

@Clarkey86 I'm lucky and relieved to still be wfh as much as I want... last time my boss was relieved to find out I was pregnant because she was worried how ill I had seemed for so long 😂

IAmFourEels · 30/04/2021 16:41

I just got scheduled in for my 12-week scan! My husband is refusing to be excited until we’re clear of that hurdle, so now the countdown begins... only 7 weeks and 5 days to go... Hmm

Clarkey86 · 30/04/2021 16:57

That is exciting @IAmFourEels!! I’m going to wait until next Friday and if everything’s still well start the midwife process I think.

gigchic · 30/04/2021 19:36

I'm not even allowed to contact the midwife until I'm 7 weeks 😬. I've booked a private scan for 7.5 weeks. £70 is worth it for piece of mind I think 👌. I really hope I don't get sickness as I work in a lab all day and can't escape fast! 🤢

Mich86ellen · 30/04/2021 20:11

Me too!! I’ll be 35 in august and also found out last night xx

zeromango · 30/04/2021 20:14

Hi all can I join please? Got my BFP today, due Jan 8th 2022! Will I need to phone the GP on Monday? Forgot how it all works Grin (DC1 nearly 3) Raging sore boobs and mild cramping but not much else! AF officially due tomorrow so hoping I don't get any spotting. Had two MCs previously so always feel very cautious!

Missingcoffee22 · 30/04/2021 20:20

@zeromango I guess it may vary but in my experience, gp gives you the referral details for your local maternity services. So I've skipped gp and just self referred online.

zeromango · 30/04/2021 20:25

@Missingcoffee22 ahh ok! Do people not see the midwife at the GP surgery anymore? Does maternity services mean Hospital or still within a surgery?

Apologies, I've only ever had one live birth and obviously pre-pandemic which is why I feel so silly asking! Blush

Missingcoffee22 · 30/04/2021 20:32

@zeromango I would imagine that the services are still all coordinated even if your community midwives do appointments at your local gp. But if you aren't sure, then give them a ring! Eg first time I had to register with the Croydon maternity services, and then I saw my midwives at a random little hospital, and then had half my appointments with the gp. When I got pregnant I had no idea what to do, so booked a gp appointment and my gp just gave me a little leaflet with all the details to refer myself.

thelittlepeanut · 30/04/2021 20:35

@mummabear20202022 congrats! And don't worry, you're not the only bonkers one.. I have a 6 month old 🤪 been having terrible nausea all day everyday! How are you coping with nausea and looking after lo?

mummabear20202022 · 30/04/2021 20:36

@Clarkey86 it's so exciting isn't it, I was worried I wouldn't feel as excited this time but I've completely surprised myself. Doesn't come without the dreaded mum guilt though 🤣!

This nausea has been with me all day, last time it left at about 13 weeks sooo only... 9 weeks to go 🤢🤣

thelittlepeanut · 30/04/2021 20:38

@zeromango in my area it's self referral directly to the hospital maternity ward - they have an online self referral form, but if you're not sure just give your gp a ring and tell them you've just found out you're pregnant and they'll tell you what to do! Congrats x

mummabear20202022 · 30/04/2021 20:45

@thelittlepeanut thank goodness it's not just me that will have 2 under 2! It has been a rough few days with her teething to be honest, my mum is keeping her overnight so I can catch up on sleep however funnily enough the nausea has subsided when I'm busy with her so I think it takes my mind off things! How are you coping?x

mummabear20202022 · 30/04/2021 20:46

@thelittlepeanut and congratulations to you to of course!
