Hey Smile

So I’m probably one of the First Ladies on here to be due in 2022! My due date is Jan 1st 2022 - New Year’s Day.

I am actually not due on AF until this Thursday coming but have had strong positives for the last 2 days so keeping everything crossed!

Is there any other 2022 mums yet?

@Tangfastic91

Anyone else had trouble staying asleep? I've woken up a few hours before the alarm for the last couple of mornings (since getting the BFP) and am wondering if it's a physical symptom or just the shock setting in. Also having lots of mild cramps and hoping it's normal!!
Yeah, I’m regularly waking up at 2.30am and always awake by 6am 😩
Mama2be2022 · 20/05/2021 20:08

@Clarkey86 aw fingers crossed you manage to speak to them soon! I'm expecting mine to try again tomorrow but again I won't be able to answer... I'm planning to come out of work on my dinner break and try to ring them then, hopefully able to speak to someone other than the receptionist! Haha time just feels so slow right now!

Hello all :)
Congratulations to everyone! Lovely to read the comments of these threads and be able to relate to those going through similar days/weeks with their symptoms, or lack of!

I’m 7 weeks 4 days & due Jan 3rd. Have been worrying a little this week due to bleeding - but did land on a day where I would typically be due my period so I just have my fingers crossed it’s nothing to be worried about. Boobs tender but has actually eased and only nauseas first thing in the morning (had it more so in week 6 then subsided). First pregnancy for me so everything seems very random (symptom wise).. I just hope that’s normal.
I know everyone is different ☺️

Looking forward to being contacted by midwife services soon & setting first appointment & getting that ball rolling! xxx

Mamadaw · 20/05/2021 21:40

@penny92
I had my booking in appointment today and asked my midwife. She explained each area does it very differently, but in our area after the booking in appointment they send the paperwork off the the hospital and then I'll receive a scan appointment in the post in a week or so.
Although we did have an early scan last week as we had a bleed, but all seemed fine and they said baby has a very strong heart beat ♥️ (and just one heart beat. My daughter was a twin but her sister didn't make it. So we were wondering if there would be more than one this time too)

Missingcoffee22 · 20/05/2021 23:00

I have strangely had my scan letter before I've heard from midwives about booking in. It's 22nd June when I'm exactly 12 weeks. Exciting!

GummyBear2022 · 21/05/2021 06:04

I have my booking appointment on 3rd June and my scan is booked in for 23rd June.

I stupidly got weighed this morning. I've put 5lb on already Shock I usually exercise most days and I've just had no energy to do so recently......plus eating all those crisps and toast hasn't helped. Oh well

Ruthsoph · 21/05/2021 06:05

What pregnancy vitamins is everyone taking please - I was taking everything separate but thinking of getting an all in one? Thanks xx

GummyBear2022 · 21/05/2021 07:11

@Ruthsoph

I'm taking Seven Seas pregnancy which has folic acid plus 21 vitamins and minerals (also added ginger which hasn't stopped my nausea in the slightest)
Mamadaw · 21/05/2021 07:11

@Ruthsoph I'm taking pregnicare plus, but have to take at night just before bed as the make my sickness worse. I've never been good with taking tablets. x

Mamadaw · 21/05/2021 07:18

@GummyBear2022
I don't have scales at home as I struggled with eating and weight for a previous abusive relationship. So I got weighed for the first time in years last week and then again this week. Between the two appointments I put on four pounds Sad I let it get to me at first but I just need to remember it's for a good reason.

Ps please don't anyone think I'm not eating properly. Have been back to eating well for 2 years now. It was just a shock to the system to see the gain. Smile

Tangfastic91 · 21/05/2021 07:19

I'm taking folic acid in the morning then vitamin D with dinner. I heard the pregnacare can give you constipation so wanted to avoid!

charl881 · 21/05/2021 07:57

Hi, I had my BFP yesterday and two more today. Due at the end of Jan. Completely stressing as this wasn’t at all planned and we have a baby already who is one next week... please someone tell me being a mum of two isn’t that much more difficult than being a mum of one 🙈 I feel much more scared than I did the first time around.

Missingcoffee22 · 21/05/2021 08:37

@GummyBear2022 it's so difficult, they say you shouldn't eat more first trimester but so many people I know found they just couldn't eat as well as normal. And it's weirdly hard to exercise properly when you feel sick and tired. Guess we have to just try not to worry about it!

GummyBear2022 · 21/05/2021 08:45

Yeah it's so hard. I don't think I've been eating more necessarily, just eating differently.....and exercising less. I don't usually have breakfast but I have been just to make me feel better. I got to work this morning and was sick.....finding it difficult to pretend I'm 'normal' in front of everyone.

Tangfastic91 · 21/05/2021 08:58

As most of you ladies are a few more weeks on thab I am, can I ask... Was anyone else ravenously hungry ALL the time? Combined with the insomnia means I am having to eat biscuits in bed a 3am to get rid of what I can only describe is a hollow feeling in my stomach (not sickness but just very uncomfortable). It's like I can't handle hunger pangs anymore when before I'd be perfectly fine waiting with growling stomach until lunch.

Missingcoffee22 · 21/05/2021 09:03

GummyBear2022 same here. I'm just having a little extra carb snack where I'd normally just have fruit.. some of my healthier meals I've gone off.

It's so hard having to go to work. I'm lucky this time we are still predominantly working from home so I don't have to hide it!

Missingcoffee22 · 21/05/2021 09:03

@TangFastic91 I just feel nauseous if my stomach gets empty. So I'm not feeling hungry exactly but it results in the same thing!!

Zm2019 · 21/05/2021 09:55

@charl881 congratulations. I have an 8yr old and a 9 month old. I have found it so much easier this time. We haven't struggled. My lb will be nearly 1.5yrs when baby us born. I may say differently then. This was also unplanned but so excited now that they will ve close in age x

kiararafiki · 21/05/2021 10:39

Hi everyone

Joining this thread if that's okay! Congratulations to everyone on their pregnancies.

I am due 4 Jan 2022 with our first baby. Had a slight scare earlier this week with bleeding but went for an earlier scan and thankfully all is well - the sonographer just put it down to implantation.

Main symptoms are food aversions, nausea but no sickness, fatigue and a lot of bloating / feeling very blocked. Does anyone have any tips on dealing with the blocked-upness? I am taking the seven seas pregnancy multivitamin so hoping that isn't contributing to it!

Thank you a

Hi tangfastic, I am 7 weeks 3 days and due on 4 Jan so fairly close to where you are and I get the same. I go from having strong aversions to any food and then to really strong hunger pains that make me feel sick and faint and I must eat straight away - they seem to come out of nowhere! Hope yours subside soon
HforHavana · 21/05/2021 12:12

I am exactly the same with the hunger. Hungry more often and it making me feel sick if I don't eat quickly, but when I do eat I'm full quicker than usual (probably because I'm eating more often).

@kiararafiki congrats! I'm due same day as you and have suffered with constipation. I went the pharmacy and they told me take fybogel. It's vile but helped a little bit. It says on the Packet to take twice a day morning and night, but the pharmacist said to just have one a day which is maybe why it didn't fully work. Sorry that's the only suggestion I have.

Thanks very much @HforHavana I will give that a go!
BabyBunnyMama · 21/05/2021 15:01

I'm also feeling really nauseous if I'm hungry. I keep waking up at around 4am and have started keeping some ginger biscuits in the drawer beside my bed and scoff 1 or 2 through the night then go back to sleep 🙈 still really gone off hot drinks/sauces too 🤢

Anyone else have any food aversions? Even the thought of some foods makes me want to gag so definitely finding having a balanced diet a real challenge!

I’ve been using Lactulose every few days which has been helping a bit. Unfortunately, it’s just the joy of all the progesterone we are now making!
Missingcoffee22 · 21/05/2021 15:50

@BabyBunnyMama yeah I have an aversion to a few things.. coffee, eggs, fish (basically any slimey foods)... unfortunately I'm finding regular water to make me feel really sick also?! Need drinks reallyyyyy cold and ideally flavoured.
