Hey Smile

So I’m probably one of the First Ladies on here to be due in 2022! My due date is Jan 1st 2022 - New Year’s Day.

I am actually not due on AF until this Thursday coming but have had strong positives for the last 2 days so keeping everything crossed!

Is there any other 2022 mums yet?
@LilmissCa oh yes I have done that but it's not an official date until your scan is it x
They note it as your due date until a scan says otherwise, so you can consider it "official" until then... mine didn't change at my scan last pregnancy

LilmissCa · 18/05/2021 16:49

@mummygonemad
Ah sorry missed the official bit! Knew I was missing something as I typed that! Is it possible for baby brain to be here already 🤣

AryaKidding · 18/05/2021 19:44

Hope it’s ok for me to join, I’m nearly 8 weeks now and haven’t really believed it until this week I don’t think!

@littlelots123 I had the first dose of AZ just before I realised I was pregnant and will probably get the second in June!

LilmissCa · 18/05/2021 21:05

@AryaKidding congrats !!
I had my first AZ just before I found out also.. have you been worrying about it? I've settled myself now & pretty sure I'll get the 2nd unless anything new comes to light in the next few weeks!

Tangfastic91 · 19/05/2021 08:41

Hi all, hope you don't mind if I join. Got my Bfp yesterday so due date of 25 Jan all being well. Although if I go by when I actually got ovulation pain it's 28 Jan, we'll see!

hollypurple · 19/05/2021 11:00

@littlelots123

Are you all going to have the covid jab whilst pregnant? I am going to discuss it next week at my 8 week appointment, I think I would wait till after my 12 weeks scan before having it!
I had mine 10 days after I found out. Guidance was to have Pfizer or Moderna (rather than AZ) if pregnant but two days before I went they changed the guidance so all under 40s are being given Pfizer\Moderna not AZ anyway.

Personally i'm more concerned about the impact of covid on pregnancy (and me) than the vaccine. No side effects other than achy arm for 24 hours.

Zm2019 · 19/05/2021 11:20

@hollypurple I was for having the vaccine. My husband called to book his vaccine last night and he asked about me. They said speak to my gp. I messaged them saying this and they replied with a leaflet telling me not to have it. But today when he had the vaccine he spoke to the nurse she said, tell her to demand a talk with the doctor but wait till 2nd trimester. So I'm now stuck in limbo on what to do.
I did have covid last year not long after giving birth, thankfully I suffered for 1 day. Think ill speak to my midwife in just over a week.

Zm2019 · 19/05/2021 11:22

Sorry that message was for @littlelots123

hollypurple · 19/05/2021 11:25

@Zm2019 no worries :)

All of the information I was given (leaflet etc) when i arrived said pregnant women should only have the vaccine if they have other risk factors however there is updated guidance on gov.uk somewhere (from late april) which says pregnant women should be offered the vaccine at the time they would have otherwise - they gave me the updated guidance when I sat down to have the jab.

Communication seems to have been rubbish about it.

Janerobs · 19/05/2021 11:27

@Tangfastic91 we've got the same due date ❤ We got our BFP on Monday, I still don't believe it's real so I'm still testing every morning 🤣

littlelots123 · 19/05/2021 11:29

@Zm2019 yes I agree communication has been a little rubbish! I will speak to the midwife next week when I visit. I think I would wait till after my 12 week scan anyway, it’s just all about daunting at the moment, not sure what to do for the best! x

littlelots123 · 19/05/2021 11:31

@hollypurple that does sound confusing! No wonder you’re stuck in limbo! Lets wait and see what our midwifes say. x

hollypurple · 19/05/2021 11:33

@littlelots123 I had my jab (I was 6+1 at the time). Am now 7+4. Other than achy arm no apparent ill effects.

I have my booking in appt on Friday. It sounds like advice varies across health boards considerably (and probably between England and Wales - I live in South Wales)

Tangfastic91 · 19/05/2021 11:48

@janerobs congrats! This was TTC #1 cycle 1 for me so I'm still in shock. Was convinced I wouldn't get BFP until Xmas 😂 unfortunately I am now worrying about everything that could go wrong, just hope it works out!

penny92 · 19/05/2021 11:59

@Mamadaw I've got my booking in appointment with the midwife on June 2nd which will be 9+5. No news on dating scan yet, but I've got a follow up scan to my EPU visit 2 weeks ago on Friday.

BennyB22 · 19/05/2021 18:31

Hi Ladies,

Hope I'm not too late to join thread! All going to plan, it's looking like 19th Jan for due date.

Covid jag booked for 29th May.

Wondering if there are any other teachers on this thread?

AryaKidding · 19/05/2021 19:05

@LilmissCa I do wish we didn’t have to be vaccinated but I think I’m more worried about long COVID or getting COVID in the third trimester so the benefits of the jab outweigh the risks to me personally. I will run it past the midwife though just to double check.

BunBunMum · 19/05/2021 19:16

For those wondering about the covid vaccine. I spoke to my Gp today to let them know I’m pregnant (here they are the ones that contact the hospital to book the scan) and I asked him and he didn’t say no and said the evidence so far is that there isn’t any problem although obviously nothing is guaranteed

Clarkey86 · 19/05/2021 20:08

@BennyB22 Hiya, I’m a teacher. So torn between getting this jab the second I can and waiting until the second trimester. I might just have to go for it.

Mama2be2022 · 19/05/2021 20:11

Had our first positive test on the 15th and again on the 16th. First ever time so very excited but mega nervous at the same time! We have filled in an online form to register for a midwife and expecting a letter within the next few weeks to let us know the next steps. App says due 26th Jan 2022feel like I'm googling everything at the minute!

L1ttleb1t · 19/05/2021 20:15

Hi everyone.

The Royal College of Obs and Gynae has issued guidelines on vaccines in TTC and pregnancy - all the info is here, including a summary, Q&A and info sheet. Hope this helps people to decide:

Ive gone from having strong symptoms to having absolutely none for 3 days now and its really starting to worry me. Has anyone else had this too?

My nausea has eased off loads, so hard not to stress about it isn't it...
Missingcoffee22 · 19/05/2021 20:45

I agree with the sentiment that I wish I wasn't having to get a vaccine, but the world is where it is. I probably will get mine but would rather avoid the first trimester... although am under 30 so may be out of first trimester before I'm offered it anyway.
It's funny, if I wasn't pregnant my risks from covid would be so low but I'd be happy to get the vaccine. Pregnant, risks from covid are a bit higher but so much more nervous about the jab. I'm sure it is safe, but hard not to stress about these things...

IDontDrinkTea · 19/05/2021 21:07

Feeling very fortunate that I’ve had both vaccines before getting pregnant through work. Means I don’t have to decide whether to get it or not!

I’ve had a few days of nausea and dizziness. I was horrendously sick with my dd but I don’t remember it starting this early!! Fingers crossed it’s a positive sign though
