Hey Smile

So I’m probably one of the First Ladies on here to be due in 2022! My due date is Jan 1st 2022 - New Year’s Day.

I am actually not due on AF until this Thursday coming but have had strong positives for the last 2 days so keeping everything crossed!

Is there any other 2022 mums yet?

@dano99 Try not to worry too much. Early scans are notoriously difficult to date. The same thing happened to me with my first baby, I excitedly booked an early scan for 7 weeks only to be told that either I'd got my dates wrong or the baby had stopped developing. I had a further scan 10 days later to show everything was fine, and saw a little heartbeat.

Bladette84 · 17/05/2021 19:42

I’ve been having some cramping today but no bleeding. I don’t think mine is helped by constipation and a dodgy hip! It’s so hard not to panic though x

MrsRRC · 18/05/2021 10:40

Hi all,

I am late to the party!

Due 17th January 2022.

I’m 40 and I already have one DS, he’s just coming up for 21 months.

Is there a Facebook group yet?

E2022 · 18/05/2021 10:43

Hi all I’ve just joined as I am 7 weeks and due early Jan. Great to have community on here! Anyone else feeling awful with pregnancy symptoms?! First baby and very excited, just hope I start feeling better soon!!

Missingcoffee22 · 18/05/2021 10:54

@MrsRRC there is one we have, that has women from this thread but was actually started from a different thread so not everyone is on it. There were 2 quite active threads running at once!

MrsRRC · 18/05/2021 11:30

@Missingcoffee22 ah brilliant. I was on one for my DS and found it really lovely. Especially through the pandemic when I wasn’t able to get to baby groups etc.

Missingcoffee22 · 18/05/2021 11:33

@MrsRRC I feel exactly the same about mine for my DD. None of my friends were going into this life stage yet, and it was great to have people to share it with. Still is! And some are my irl friends now too 😊

KAJWX · 18/05/2021 12:21

Hi all, I spoke too soon about not having many symptoms! Sickness has hit me, I forgot how awful this bit is. Trying not to complain as it’s a good sign! Hope everyone is feeling ok x

BFirstTimer · 18/05/2021 12:57

I am 6+5 and the nausea is full-on now, I feel so lucky to be working from home but wonder when I'm ever going to achieve the same level of productivity as before :/

BabyBunnyMama · 18/05/2021 13:33

I have caved and booked an early scan for this Friday. Should be 7+4 then which is a bit earlier than I got my first scan with my DD so a bit nervous incase they can't see much!

hollypurple · 18/05/2021 13:39

First time post!

7+3 if maths is correct and have (virtual) booking in appt on Friday. My calculation means due 1 Jan 2022.

The 'morning' sickness (though actually just nausea no actual sickness) is constant except while sleeping and a weird balance of feeling super excited and happy mixed with feeling completely rotten as struggling to eat and drink. Orange squash (today's discovery), orange calippo ice lollies and peppermint sweets are the biggest helps thus far.

DH is being a dream and taking care of everything at the moment.

L1ttleb1t · 18/05/2021 13:47

Should I be worried my hcg lines don't seem to be getting any darker? I know I need to stop POAS...! Blush It's got me a tiny bit worried that it's not darker over the past couple of days. But I don't think it's getting lighter. Please tell me I'm being paranoid?

Early scan yesterday she thinks 7 weeks and a bit ish gave me a due date around January 2nd 2022. Although I put this in online calculator and it gives me a DD of dec 26th 2021 Confused

Due 1st Jan 2022
gigchic · 18/05/2021 13:56

@L1ttleb1t do then every other day and you will see a progression. Also make sure you do it with first morning wee.

I've finally just my booking in appointment and it's not until 8th June! I'll be 10 weeks by then 😂. Good job I'm not stressing too much!

Missingcoffee22 · 18/05/2021 13:59

@L1ttleb1t this happened to me so I stepped away from the tests. Decided to take one a week later at over 6 weeks and got a really strong line then so now I've chilled out.
Because it is increasing slowly each day, other factors can stop the progression looking good e.g. drinking more water the night before testing. Try to stop for a few days at least if you can!!

Missingcoffee22 · 18/05/2021 14:01

@gigchic the wait feels so long doesn't it! I haven't heard back from midwives yet. Last time I had my bloods taken at almost 11 weeks and my booking in at 11+3!

Welcome, exactly how I feel - so happy but simultaneously so rotten, but somehow also happy to feel rotten because it signals something happy 😜
littlelots123 · 18/05/2021 14:41

Are you all going to have the covid jab whilst pregnant? I am going to discuss it next week at my 8 week appointment, I think I would wait till after my 12 weeks scan before having it!

gigchic · 18/05/2021 14:51

@Missingcoffee22 11+3?! Wow ok so they obviously aren't bothered seeing people that quickly. Weirdly they rang me 3 hours after I filled in the online form so I was hopeful for an appointment next week. 😂. The wait is truly dragging! I don't feel like it's real until a midwife sees me 😂. Although maybe I won't even then!

BunBunMum · 18/05/2021 14:54

@littlelots123 I was asking this the other day. I decided to wait until after 12 weeks but have now swung the other way and booked it for next Monday when I will be 7+3. I will speak to someone there (haven’t contacted the GP/midwife yet) but from what I’ve read it seems it should be safe although it does say ‘some women may wish to wait until after 12 weeks’. I already have a 2 and a 5yr old and I have been very anxious throughout of getting covid/long covid. I’ve also had miscarriages before each of my successful pregnancies - one at 8+3 so at the same time I don’t feel out of the woods yet....

LilmissCa · 18/05/2021 15:59

Glad the scan went well @MrsGxx .. 7wks was in line with what you are thinking?
I suppose the due date really depends on if it is 6.5wks or 7.5wks 7ish could mean anything in between & at this stage it's very early to confirm dates accurately.
Prob best getting the later date in your head.. easier if it's brought forward at the 12wk scan then pushed put an extra week lol

mummygonemad · 18/05/2021 15:59

How do you know your due dates so soon? X

LilmissCa · 18/05/2021 16:27

@mummygonemad work it out from the first day of your last period (plus 40wks if 28day cycle) or ovulation date (plus 38wks) if you know it.
There's calculators that do it for you.. google due date calculator

MrsGxx · 18/05/2021 16:34

@LilmissCa I was expecting to be 7-8 weeks I wasn’t 100% sure as I had been on the pill and came off in February with no period so really wasn’t sure. I guess wanting to be further along is quicker to 12 weeks and more out of the woods as you would say.
@mummygonemad
yes, google due date calculator lovely x

mummygonemad · 18/05/2021 16:34

@LilmissCa oh yes I have done that but it's not an official date until your scan is it x
