Hey Smile

So I’m probably one of the First Ladies on here to be due in 2022! My due date is Jan 1st 2022 - New Year’s Day.

I am actually not due on AF until this Thursday coming but have had strong positives for the last 2 days so keeping everything crossed!

Is there any other 2022 mums yet?

I feel horrendous even saying I'm really not enjoying it, especially after we've had fertility treatment but it is so difficult.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was a bit nervous to hit 'post' about it but I'm glad I did. I can't even imagine those of you that have children to look after when you feel like this. I just can't even get my head around how you do it.

I'm also insanely constipated, on top of the sickness which is seriously uncomfortable. I'm not sure how I'm going to get through the next however many weeks, that's if the symptoms being to tail off at 13 weeks or so.

❤️

gigchic · 15/05/2021 22:30

@DoesTheQueenOrderChinese your sickness does sound like a nightmare! I'm just generally feeling like I'm on a constant hangover but the sickness isn't getting any worse.... I wake up every morning wondering if today the day I'm sick but so far I'm not feeling any worse.... which then also makes me a bit worried as I wonder if things are ok or if symptoms are actually slowly disappearing 😂. This whole pregnancy thing hasn't been what I imagined so far! I also keep getting paranoid about whether we should be telling our parents soon or not. I feel bad for keeping this a secret but then think it's too soon to tell them 🤦‍♀️. To be honest I think the best approach is just do the best you can and try and be kind to yourself. X

Boo2020 · 15/05/2021 23:19

Hi Ladies hope you all don't mind me joining!?
Congratulations to all of you too❤ I found out today that I'm pregnant, I still can't believe it to be honest as I miscarried last August at 10.5 weeks and I've been trying ever since (8 months before the miscarriage too)😔 i have a DS who is 12 this Monday.

I am so nervous, I don't think I will stop panicking until my 12 week scan..now the only problem I've got is I found out today on CD51(long ass cycle) but I ovulated on the 1st of May which then puts my due date in January (about 5 weeks pregnant) but my tracking app (that's got my ovulation dates AF dates in etc has put me at 7 weeks therefore due date would be December...the first day of my AF was the 25th March...would anyone know which one I should go by 😩?

Hi all. Agreeing with everyone who is physically not enjoying their pregnancy so far... it is A LOT. The constant hangover is rough - especially when no drink has been enjoyed beforehand! Not sure if I’m feeling triple the effects (recap for those new, 5+6 week scan showed 3 yolk sacs and 1 embryo with HB!)

DP and I had our anniversary weekend this weekend so I’ve been super distracted staying in an Airbnb in the countryside, which has helped. Even better is that he proposed! 💍 Got to admit I had half a glass of champagne to celebrate, before moving onto the Nosecco!

So my advice is distraction! It helped with my nausea no end.

Missingcoffee22 · 16/05/2021 07:59

@penny92 oh extra congratulations, that is so exciting!!!

With everyone on the hangover train. I feel like I wake every morning with beer fear, except I've had no alcohol. I know I'm gonna feel crap but don't know how crap until I move. Really grateful that it is still only intense nausea and not actually throwing up. I only threw up a few times in my first pregnancy, so maybe it'll be similar!

I've been getting my toddler outside as much as possible, as I find trying to entertain her in the house weirdly harder. All I want to do when I see a couch is lie down 😂 and she senses my weakness and asks for peppa over and over...

Clarkey86 · 16/05/2021 08:00

Congrats @Boo2020! Defo go by ovulation for dating. Last period is just used historically because many women don’t know when they ovulated.

Nashsophie13 · 16/05/2021 08:09

Morning all, I'm sorry to hear some of you are feeling rough with your pregnancies. I hope you feel better soon. I've become a bit of a frequent tester, I know I shouldn't but this wait for the 12 week scan is driving me mad I'm so impatient! I'm either 6+4 or 7+4 I done a test today and I wondered if any of you know why the control line is faint but the test line is really dark? Am I right in thinking it's because my hgc levels are high so the test line has to take dye from the control line? Xxx

@Clarkey86 thank you ❤

marnh18 · 16/05/2021 09:11

Congrats on the engagement @penny92 thats amazing news!
And congrats to all the new ladies that have joined!

Im also not enjoying it so far! Ive come down with some sort of virus (my whole body hurts) on top of the nausea and feeling like i have a constant hangover as well as having a toddler 😞 feeling absolutely drained! I had 3 naps yesterday! Luckily my DP has been watching our DD so i can rest but i have so much to do and i just have no energy or motivation right now!

LilmissCa · 16/05/2021 09:47

@penny92 massive congrats !!!

I've no sickness kicked in yet.. it is early days but I do swear by ginger tea in the morning. Yday I added in mint tea at night to help with bloating/gas & it def helped. When making either use real ginger (frozen then grated when needed) and real mint ( I also freeze these)

It might help some of yous. Got it from hormone health coach on insta.. she's fab!

Clarkey86 · 16/05/2021 10:08

@Nashsophie13 Yes exactly that!! HCG levels get so high that it steals the dye from the test line :)

L1ttleb1t · 16/05/2021 11:02

Hi everyone.

Sorry for those suffering with morning sickness. It's really awful. I have transient nausea but I'm only 4 weeks... Not looking forward to it getting worse.

I've gone and bought a tens machine for nausea - it goes on your wrist a but like seabands, but uses neuro modulation rather than acupressure. It's called emeterm. I've also bought some ginger tablets as there is some evidence they help.

I've already decided though that if it's like last time in going to go to the GP for medication. There is a drug that's been licensed for morning sickness - not something that was available during my first pregnancy. I'm going to ask for it if I have a similar experience. Apparently the earlier you start it, the more effective it is.

L1ttleb1t · 16/05/2021 11:13

Sorry, forgot the name of the medication - xonvea:

@Clarkey86 thank you so much that makes me feel better I’ll stop testing now xx

BunBunMum · 16/05/2021 13:33

Hi All - hoping I can join? I’m due 7th Jan so 6+2 today! Feeling nervous as I’ve had losses at 6+3 and 8+3 before each of my successful pregnancies so if this one goes well then it’ll be my 3rd.

Not been through the whole thread but has anyone been covid vaccinated yet? My age group should open up this week and I was debating waiting until after I’m 12 weeks but now I’m thinking of having it as soon as I can....what are you all doing?

MrsRyan15 · 16/05/2021 13:45

Hi @BunBunMum congratulations. I'm due on 7th Jan too. Sorry to hear about the previous losses, fingers crossed all goes well with this one. X

I've had both my covid jabs, I had the second a week before I got my BFP. Not sure what I would have done if I had to make the decision though x

IDontDrinkTea · 16/05/2021 13:59

Hello… can i join you?!

Got this beauty Friday morning as my period was due… sort of knew it was going to be positive though if you know what I mean. I’ve been on a run of very busy night shifts at work and haven’t been feeling great. My last pregnancy I ended up being signed off nights and I’m wondering if they’ll laugh in my face if I ask to get signed off already 🤦🏼‍♀️ Not a work dodger, happy to work days just I find pregnancy and night shifts really hard going!

Due 1st Jan 2022
Nashsophie13 · 16/05/2021 14:44

@BunBunMum congratulations, I’m still undecided about what I’m going to do when it’s my turn for the vaccine. I did start a thread a few weeks about it if you wanted to jump on it and have a look at what other people have decided I can let you know what it is :) x

TinyTickler · 16/05/2021 15:04

@BunBunMum

Hi All - hoping I can join? I’m due 7th Jan so 6+2 today! Feeling nervous as I’ve had losses at 6+3 and 8+3 before each of my successful pregnancies so if this one goes well then it’ll be my 3rd.

I spoke to my GP about it this week, as I am due my second jab and I've had the AZ one which obviously isn't recommended in pregnancy.

Essentially her message was there is no over whelming reason not to have it, nor is there any over whelming reason to have it unless you are clinically extremely vulnerable, so essentially it's a matter of personal choice.

She was very firm in her view that it's completely safe but they they would support whatever decision I wished to make and that she would understand my rationale behind having it and not having it.

Long story short I'm having it next weekend - reason being as I have had the first if I delay it further I may need to have two again which seems a waste of resource to me.

Clarkey86 · 16/05/2021 15:06

I’m eager to get the vaccination but am also unsure about whether to wait until after 12 weeks. I might speak to the GP when it’s my turn (I’m 34) and see what they advise.

gigchic · 16/05/2021 15:42

I got the text message inviting me for mine Friday as I'm 38. Think I'm going to wait until I'm 14-20 ish weeks if I do have it. I've been looking forward to getting it all this time but I don't want to do anything out of the ordinary this first trimester because if anything goes wrong I'll blame myself. Someone posted this good link a few days ago which I found useful.

BunBunMum · 16/05/2021 15:52

That’s the website I’ve looked at...I think it is probably ok and with 2 children aged 2 and 5 I’m really worried about the potential effects of getting covid and eg getting long covid...so hard to decide!

HforHavana · 16/05/2021 16:50

Is anybody else good for nothing at the moment? I couldn't wait for the weekend to just chill, and honestly I think it's made me feel worse. I just feel so exhausted, even holding a conversation at the moment takes so much energy.
Everything is irritating me and I don't know if it's hormones or tiredness. I don't want to wish away the pregnancy, but honestly, roll on this feeling ending!

Missingcoffee22 · 16/05/2021 17:02

@HforHavana totally. I'll be really good with my toddler for an hour and then feel I deserve an hour's rest...! But the rest doesn't make me feel better.
