Hey Smile

So I’m probably one of the First Ladies on here to be due in 2022! My due date is Jan 1st 2022 - New Year’s Day.

I am actually not due on AF until this Thursday coming but have had strong positives for the last 2 days so keeping everything crossed!

Is there any other 2022 mums yet?

I ment 17/1/22 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ Obviously.

Emc16x · 13/05/2021 12:30

@LilmissCa @Puppymamababymama hey due date friends! How are you both feeling?

I’m 4 tests down! All positive. I just love testing it makes me a lot calmer! I’ve booked in for a 6 week scan too....have you spoken to your midwife yet? My bloods are 28th May. Xx

LilmissCa · 13/05/2021 12:55

@Emc16x
Ha think I'm four tests down too!! Planning another on Saturday.. hopefully my last if I get 3+ with clear blue or I'll go into a test frenzy no doubt till I get 3+.

I'm booked for private scan on 2nd June .. so almost 8wks then, trying to hold off as long as I can!
My docs had to have pregnancy test on file so tried to get the results today & their midwife referral then too but they are closed doing vaccines so will be tomo!

Have you much symptoms??
I've just extremely sore boobs & nipples so far!

Emc16x · 13/05/2021 13:30

@LilmissCa I couldn’t wait! It’s my mums birthday on the 2nd and I’d love to tell her then. We want to tell family ASAP and then wait until 12 weeks for friends.

Hope the 6 week shows something up! I’ll take a ‘how many weeks’ before hand!

My sense of smell is really sensitive, sore boobs and nipples and shortness of breath!

How long were you TTC? Xx

LilmissCa · 13/05/2021 13:48

@Emc16x oh yes my sense of smell is increasing also!! We had a CP in Jan, that was first month trying so just since then. What about you?

I'm thinking I'll give in & tell my mum this weekend, I'm not great at hiding things from her! I've a 5yr old DS so will try & old out not telling too many until 12/13 wk scan so I can share it with him too.

gigchic · 13/05/2021 14:05

@Emc16x that's amazing well done! You obviously relaxed and nature did it's magic!

The hunger has kicked in today. I had two breakfasts and a huge lunch and now feeling bloated and too full! 😂.

BabyBunnyMama · 13/05/2021 16:39

I'm going through phases of being nauseous and when I'm not nauseous I'm so hungry... Though can only stomach quite bland or naughty food. All the usual fruit and veggies I love are making me blehhh.

Had 2 cream eggs while DD was napping earlier 🙈 and last night was still starving after dinner so was snacking afterwards. I dread the initial weigh in at my first appointment if this carries on 😂

Puppymamababymama · 13/05/2021 17:27

@Emc16x & @LilmissCa Woop glad we made it to 5 weeks! This week has felt so long!! Ben having waves of nausea throughout the day mostly in the middle of the night! My boobs also feel like they're on fire! I'm trying to wait out getting a scan as long as possible..I think it's because I don't feel it's quite real yet? Idk trying to aim for a scan between 8-12 weeks..still feeling shocked and nervous. I had a CP last month and I'm still questioning if this is really happening or not despite no period, positive tests and my symptoms. Feeling somewhat surreal at the moment. Work has also been pretty hectic this week so I've been pretty distracted and then just completely collapse into bed when I get home!

Josiemmm · 13/05/2021 18:06

Hello ladies,

I’m looking for some advice before I call my doctors.

I am pregnant, around 4-5 weeks. My period was due on the 07th May.

Today I have started cramping and bleeding, the cramps are very light ( like acute period pains) and the blood is very wet, pink/red and mucusy, it’s not a heavy bleed and it’s not on my pants, but I notice it while wiping.

Has anyone experience this? Could it be implantation bleeding?

DoesTheQueenOrderChinese · 13/05/2021 18:40

@Josiemmm I am just over six weeks and have been experiencing the same. I just wanted to reassure you that I had an early scan (were with a fertility clinic) that showed a healthy heartbeat despite the bleeding you're describing. ThanksSmile

DoesTheQueenOrderChinese · 13/05/2021 18:41

I've ate nothing but crappy carbs today.

Toast, cheese, chocolate, jacket potato, space raider crisps. Ugh I feel gross now Blush

Josiemmm · 13/05/2021 18:44

@DoesTheQueenOrderChinese honestly, thank you so much for that! It’s a relief to know I’m
Not alone. It started today at lunch time and it’s not gotten any worse ( not gotten any better either) I’m going to give it the night and if it’s still there then I’ll call the early pregnancy team and see what they suggest,

It’s just very hard to know if it’s normal or not! And I dare not google it 😂

LilmissCa · 13/05/2021 18:59

@Emc16x you've had a long time of it.. so glad you got the BFP now!
@Puppymamababymama I think the nervous feeling will be here to last lol but yeah it's hard to let it sink in & feel it's really happening!

The tiredness hit me with a bang today at 4.30.. had to nap!! Luckily I was quiet work wise & could!

Giraffe888 · 13/05/2021 20:33

@Josiemmm it sounds exactly the same as what I had with my DS. I had it a few times and it worried me so my GP referred me to early pregnancy unit who scanned me and all was ok

I had some light spotting yesterday morning and had a scan today and we saw the heartbeat ❤️

Aquarius93 · 13/05/2021 21:06

@Josiemmm I’ve had cramping and spotting a few times now (I’m about 7 weeks). I rang the GP but it had stopped by the time they rang me back. They said it’s fairly common and not to worry unless the bleeding gets heavier or the pain isn’t manageable. They didn’t scan me though because they don’t usually do any scans before 8 weeks apparently but assuming everything’s okay!

Josiemmm · 13/05/2021 21:14

@Giraffe888 @Aquarius93 thank you for your reassurance, it’s great to hear you have had similar experiences.

Unfortunately for me, although it’s still not heavy - I’m still cramping ( like mild period pains) and the blood is getting redder and more frequent. I’m going to relax and see how the night goes, and call the doctors in the morning.

Emc16x · 13/05/2021 21:19

@LilmissCa around 14 months. We were underway tests with the fertility clinic at the hospital. We can’t believe it. That’s lovely. How exciting for your DS!

@Puppymamababymama I know what you mean. It doesn’t feel real! Hence why I keep testing and the line just keeps appearing quicker and stronger 🥰 I hope you get some rest and feel less nauseous! I’m dreading that part xx

Aquarius93 · 13/05/2021 21:25

@Josiemmm hope everything’s okay. It’s so hard to stay calm but it could be nothing! Just be kind to yourself and take it one step at a time

BFirstTimer · 14/05/2021 07:07

@Josiemmm hoping everything is okayDaffodil Daffodil

I've also entered the phase of being constantly starving and nauseous - I need to figure out how to prepare more healthy snacks that I can actually stomach! Why do McDonald's fries always sound the best Hmm

Emc16x · 14/05/2021 07:22

@Josiemmm I know it’s always annoying when a friend of somebody experiences but my friend experiences the exact same thing in week 5/6 like a tap had turned on! She told midwife and got referred for an early scan. All was fine and they now have a beautiful little girl (she did arrive 6 weeks early though)

Have you mentioned it to your midwife?

I’m just in the process of trying to get a holiday to New York refunded! It was booked for November/December and they won’t allow me to fly. Getting stressed about it so need to chill it’s beyond my control but I want the money back. Xx

I was due to be going to New York in September. A trip that had been planned for years to celebrate mine and my friends 40th Birthdays.

Absolutely gutted, but as they said New York can wait.

I hope you get your refund sorted.

Windowsinthewest · 14/05/2021 09:03

Hi ladies! 🙋🏻‍♀️ Just joining the thread as I’ve also just found out I’m pregnant. Congratulations to all of you, sorry to hear some of you have had a difficult time previously.

I’m a FTM, 33 years old. This wasn’t exactly planned...happened a lot quicker than we thought it would. Very nervous but I’m hoping this will ease off slightly once initial shock calms down.

Feeling great so far. Some very mild cramping other than that all good so far. I think I’m about 5weeks +1 but will call doctor today.

Is anyone on here a stepmom? Partner has a 9 year old who doesn’t deal well with change. Does anyone have tips on how we can support him on this journey?

Happy Friday girls!

Josiemmm · 14/05/2021 09:37

Good morning guys,

And thank you for all your positive feedback, it’s great to know that this can be “normal” for some people.

I’m still bleeding this morning but I wouldn’t say it’s got worse. And my cramps are still very mild,

I’ve called the EPU but because I’m only just 5 weeks, it’s too early for a scan. I’ve got to sit tight and see how things go, and if I’m still the same next week then I can go in for a scan.

I did a test this morning and it’s still a big strong positive so fingers crossed! The good news is my other half Matt has brought me breakfast in bed and I get to watch Netflix all day 😁

deaconsmummy · 14/05/2021 09:52

@Emc16x congrats ... Ur similar to me - been trying since November after coming off the depo jag and nothing , stopped trying and DTD once last month and now sitting with a BFP !!! Now the paranoia has set in and every little pain n niggle is driving me mental . X

deaconsmummy · 14/05/2021 09:55

@Windowsinthewest Congrats ... I am 35 this will be my 3rd baby I’m just 4 + 3 it’s all still sinking in and I’m praying nothing goes wrong. I am a stepmom to two kids age 12 and 9 and I’m really nervous how all the kids will react, esp my oldest son who is 13 he has aspergers and I don’t think he is going to be too happy so I share your anxiety
