Hey Smile

So I’m probably one of the First Ladies on here to be due in 2022! My due date is Jan 1st 2022 - New Year’s Day.

I am actually not due on AF until this Thursday coming but have had strong positives for the last 2 days so keeping everything crossed!

Is there any other 2022 mums yet?

@BabyBunnyMama

I have been relatively symptom free but think they are kicking in now. Awful nausea at bedtime last night and then through the night kept waking feeling sick and overheated. Feeling a bit better this morning but the thought of eating 🤢 also gone right off the thought of coffee too. Thankfully no throwing up though.

How is everyone else today?

@BabyBunnyMama Hey! I’ve been feeling pretty nauseous since last week but don’t feel too bad today! I just feel soo tired! Like I could sleep for days! And my emotions are all over the place! I started crying yesterday because my Hoover wouldn’t work haha! X
Nashsophie13 · 07/05/2021 10:15

@HforHavana you can still have caffeine you just have to limit the daily intake of it. I’m not sure what it is you’ll have to have a look. But I just decided to stop having coffee when I found out and I’ve been on without but I didn’t use to drink it much anyway so it was easy for me to cut out x

1986mum · 07/05/2021 10:18

I’ve started spotting this morning 😢 it’s only the tiniest bit but both times I’ve spotted this early before have ended in miscarriage I still have nausea so that’s keeping me slightly positive. I know every pregnancy is different but does anyone have any positive outcome spotting stories?

BabyBunnyMama · 07/05/2021 10:41

@Missingcoffee22 Hope you can find some time to rest today! 😊

@Nashsophie13 I was drinking decaff since finding out I was pregnant but I think it's just the thought of warm drinks in general now. Think I'll stick to water and juice for a while haha.

@KAJWX I am so tired too today! Actually glad it's a working from home day so my DD is at nursery too so I can have a bit of a break. Planning a nap on my lunch hour 😆

@HforHavana I have cut it out completely so far and stuck to decaff and was doing fine without the caffeine (I think the taste of decaff tricks my brain) . Though I think one cup of normal coffee a day is fine 😊

@LucyJane90 Oh the tiredness is real for me today too! My emotions haven't been too bad yet though haha.

@1986mum I don't have any positive stories to share as I don't have any experience with spotting, but just wanted to send you some love ❤️ everything I read online mentions spotting as a normal symptom so hopefully all will be OK with you. Do you have an early pregnancy unit you can contact for a check up, especially seeing as you have had MC's before?

This is the most active. There were 3, then a 4th to try and get everyone on the same one but proving a bit tricky! There is also a fb group just started 😊 that is funny! Mine is due on my own birthday.
gigchic · 07/05/2021 12:01

It's 200mg of caffeine that's the limit but that only one medium sized cup of strong filter coffee. I've just gone and bought all decaf stuff as I want to cut it out totally.

I've just had some bad news that my PhD research can't continue as it is because I'm now not allowed in the lab I was using (risk of unknown bacterial infections as it's a controlled microbiology lab). So I'm feeling really bad today about potentially messing up my PhD. The priority is my pregnancy but this has been 7 years of work so it's fairly unfortunate. I'm 38 and not due to finish PhD until I'm 40 so no way I could wait until after to TTC.

BFirstTimer · 07/05/2021 12:20

@mimirouge How's it going today?

@Nashsophie13 exactly, no symptoms could just be lucky! Everyone seems to have such wildly different experiences. I always think to myself - at this stage a MC would probably result in a heavy AF so if that isn't happening it's probably find just to hang tight =D

BFirstTimer · 07/05/2021 12:22

@gigchic sorry to hear about the news with your PhD! I think you have the right attitude - if the PhD can be resumed afterwards then all will be worth it =D. I am also dreading telling my work and what it will mean career-wise but also trying to keep some perspective about it.

Rastawife9 · 07/05/2021 12:40

@Missingcoffee22 ahhh i see. Lol. Aw love that! I was part of a group for my 2020 due. Who is adding or can i be added? Xx

@ralala made it but I can send it to you if you send me a pm x

Zm2019 · 07/05/2021 13:01

@BFirstTimer I'm nervous to tell my work too. Its my first day back Monday after having 9 months off for Maternity. Really scared to tell them I'm leaving again in December, especially when my manager has worked so hard to keep me in her team lol.
Not really sure what I'll do at the end of the next maternity. Thts ages away yet tho haha x

gigchic · 07/05/2021 13:13

@BFirstTimer my PhD is government funded like a normal job so if I suspend then I lose all income and maternity pay and I don't think they'll let me do that anyway. So I'll have to think of different research to do thats pregnancy safe but I work within the sewage industry so not sure if much of it is pregnancy safe!! I assumed wrongly that I'd be able to continue as it's such a controlled environment but it seems the university seems the risk to be too high. 😬. My emotions are on such a rollercoaster right now. I feel like the smallest irritation is going to send me over the edge and I'll burst into tears 😂🤦‍♀️.

mimirouge · 07/05/2021 13:17

@bfirsttimer thanks for asking. I feel so so nauseous and dizzy today. Don't remember that last time and only 4w5d
I am older at 34 so hoping it isn't twins!

1986mum · 07/05/2021 13:17

@BabyBunnyMama yes we have EPU but they still won’t see me until 6 weeks so I’ll just have to hang on in there 🤞

BFirstTimer · 07/05/2021 13:22

Oh gosh @gigchic I'm so sorry to hear that :/. Really hope you can think up a baby-safe topic!

@mimirouge sounds about normal! I'm 36 and a first-timer so was kinda hoping for twins - everything done at once 😆

Ralala · 07/05/2021 13:30

If anyone wants added to the Facebook group then either private message me or @Missingcoffee22. We can send you the link to join, more the merrier! I find these threads hard to keep up with after a while!

Nashsophie13 · 07/05/2021 13:49

@BFirstTimer hopefully that’s the case 🙂 and that’s true everyone is different. Counting down the weeks until we have our scan xxx

RHODXB · 07/05/2021 14:17

@Ralala @Missingcoffee22 I would like to join ☺️I just don't know how to private message!

Missingcoffee22 · 07/05/2021 14:18
**@Ralala* @Missingcoffee22* I would like to join ☺️I just don't know how to private message!
Annoyingly you have to do on the browser rather than the app. I can message you in a mo x

marnh18 · 07/05/2021 15:26

Feeling much more hopeful! Took another test last night, I've only just took this photo so this is it all dried out now and the two lines are similar in colour and look super dark! My test from Mondays test line is so faint compared! So I'm really hoping this means my hcg is rising! With my miscarriage my line progression was none existent and just stayed really faint on every test!

Due 1st Jan 2022
Missingcoffee22 · 07/05/2021 15:43

@marnh18 that is a great looking line!

Aquarius93 · 07/05/2021 15:52

@1986mum I had spotting this morning too. I panicked because I’d been having cramps since yesterday evening. I spoke to my GP and they said just to watch and wait as it’s too early for a scan (they wouldn’t do one until at least 8 weeks). Luckily the cramping and spotting has gone for now so just trying to be optimistic. Hope all goes okay for you 🤞🏻

BabyBunnyMama · 07/05/2021 16:07

@1986mum Everything crossed for you 🤞

1986mum · 07/05/2021 16:14

@Aquarius93 it’s horrible isn’t it! I’ve just taken a clear clue test and it’s coming up at 2-3 weeks which should be about right so I’m trying to stay positive my fingers are crossed for you too... ❤️

@BabyBunnyMama thank you very much ❤️
