Hey Smile

So I’m probably one of the First Ladies on here to be due in 2022! My due date is Jan 1st 2022 - New Year’s Day.

I am actually not due on AF until this Thursday coming but have had strong positives for the last 2 days so keeping everything crossed!

Is there any other 2022 mums yet?

@Zm2019 & @Missingcoffee22 thank you lovely’s, i am impatient 😂 and I think getting that next step sorted will make it seem more real you know, I’ll wait until after next week and then try and get hold of someone somehow if I haven’t heard as I will prob be 6/7 weeks next week still unsure of dates but by period dates I’ll be 7 weeks. Hope your both doing ok ❤️ Xx

Hi everyone,

Wanted to know if everyone's referred themselves to a hospital yet? & how did they choose?
First timer and I'm in London trying to pick between St Thomas' and St George's.

Lakedeal · 06/05/2021 13:54

@NgN90 congratulations! We're in the catchment for St Thomas's and everyone I know who went there has had good experiences, although it's not where I chose for my first as another hospital was closer.

There is a website you can use to look up local hospitals and what facilities they have (e.g. is there a NICU?) but I can't remember the name, sorry. Around me the local FB groups are really active and people seem to ask on there a fair bit.

HforHavana · 06/05/2021 14:00

I filled out a self referral form on Tuesday and had to make an account for 'my pregnancy notes' website. Not sure if this is standard across all regions? I got an email later that day with a link to my account to say it had been linked with my chosen hospital, and I had a telephone consultation booked for 1st June which I am guessing is the booking in appointment?
I'm all new to this so I don't have a clue what's what 😬

NgN90 · 06/05/2021 14:01

Thanks! @Lakedeal will take your view into consideration

I've heard really mixed reviews about St Thomas' and I had a scan there once and the nurse was so horrible!

But thinking logically, it's a tad closer than St Georges so I'm just trying to think what's best.
St George's seems to be really good though, I've heard good things but again, worried about distance, especially with my due date being 1st Jan, you never know when labour will start haha!

Missingcoffee22 · 06/05/2021 14:05

@NgN90 it is worth remembering that you can change partway through. So you can see how you are finding your treatment and play it by ear. Go with your gut. I wish I had changed but didn't. I am now using a different hospital for my second.

Sounds like a few of us are London based 😊

Missingcoffee22 · 06/05/2021 14:06

@HforHavana a few of my friends had online ones I think. And yes I'd expect beginning of June to be booking in. Dont worry, you'll get all the info you need 😊

Thankyou! DPs aunty is a midwife in my chosen hospital so no doubt I will have her up the wall!

You're right, I'll stick to my current choice & switch if need be.
Thanks x

NgN90 · 06/05/2021 14:13

Sorry guys to sound silly but what are these acronyms you all use?
DP/DH etc
I'm so lost lol!

TinyTickler · 06/05/2021 14:16

@Ralala I think I've messaged you twice 🤦🏻‍♀️

gigchic · 06/05/2021 14:22

I'm in Cornwall and have to wait until I'm 7 weeks to fill in online form and then the midwife will ring me to book in first appointment at 8-9 weeks. I'm away on holiday then though so I'm kind of hoping they can see me at exactly 8 weeks otherwise I'll have to wait until 9.5. I'm quite surprised they are so chilled about it considering it's my first and I'm 38. I'd have thought they'd have seen me a bit earlier but I'm guessing there's nothing they can do to help until I've got through these first weeks?!

Katiekattty · 06/05/2021 14:40

Hi all, jumping on from the other Jan thread. I’m due the 6th Jan.

I’m in absolute agony, I get very mild TMD and it seems like morning sickness has triggered my TMD. My whole face hurts and at one point was a little numb. I’m currently in bed with an ice pack on my jaw. I did not know this was a thing.

Hi everyone,

Only just found this thread! I also got my positive last week, due 5th jan I think. I’m 29 and have a 3 year old son. I’m feeling ok, sickness hasn’t started yet, I think it was around 6 weeks last time.
Slight twinges, back ache and tingly boobs.

Congratulations to you all x

Nashsophie13 · 06/05/2021 15:34

@marnh18 I know exactly how you feel hun, I’m in the same situation as you and due I think a day before you if I’ve got it right. Feel free to pm me if you would like to x

1986mum · 06/05/2021 15:47

Hey guys, I tested positive on Tuesday and again today however I had a Complete MC at 6 weeks 5 days over Easter and haven’t had a period since so not entirely sure how to work out my due date... any ideas? I wasn’t expecting to get caught again so soon ,Still early days and extremely worried after last months MC trying to stay positive

marnh18 · 06/05/2021 16:28

Thank you @Nashsophie13 i didn't even want to add myself into this group because i feel like its jinxing it 😔 Feel like i can't get excited or anything this time. So sad that i should be super excited but I've managed to convince myself that i shouldn't even get my hopes up! I do feel different though this time so hopefully thats a good sign!

BabyBunnyMama · 06/05/2021 16:50

@marnh18 & @Nashsophie13 I just wanted to say got everything crossed for you both! I had a MC in my first pregnancy then got pregnant with my (now 2 year old) a few months later. Those first few weeks in pregnancy after a loss are so worrying! Hope you are both doing OK ❤️

Missingcoffee22 · 06/05/2021 16:53

App doesn't have private message, you have to use the browser annoyingly!
