Hey Smile

So I’m probably one of the First Ladies on here to be due in 2022! My due date is Jan 1st 2022 - New Year’s Day.

I am actually not due on AF until this Thursday coming but have had strong positives for the last 2 days so keeping everything crossed!

Is there any other 2022 mums yet?

I have sore boobs, terrible acid reflux and the left side of my back is sore. Not sure if the last 2 are pregnancy related as I suffer with them anyway, but haven't had the sore back in long time!

TinyTickler · 04/05/2021 11:36

Vaccine wise I have already had my first one and am due my second very shortly.
Bloody typical I had the AZ one so I'm waiting for the doctor to call and tell me if I can still have it. If it's my choice I will still have it.

I have the sore boobs too, backpains, nausea without the vomiting still & a very heavy feeling that just makes me want to sleep all day! So tired all the time

Its definitely a different experience 2nd time around. It's early days but I can see pregnancy with a toddler is going to be hard work.

Currently gagging and trying not to throw up at every nappy change 🤢

And like a few others have said dealing with early wake ups and unsettled nights at the minute.

I have only told one friend so far, will probably tell my mom and a few other close friends quite soon..

I had my 2nd vaccine a couple of days before I got my BFP. Also the AZ one.

Kind of glad I didn't have to make the decision, but think I probably would have had it anyway.

Giraffe888 · 04/05/2021 12:28

@osmo18 I am extremely bloated (I was with my first pregnancy) and at the weekend I felt thirsty constantly but that has eased

I think my sickness and tiredness hit around 6 weeks with my first

I personally won’t be having the vaccine whilst pregnant. I don’t feel confident that there has been enough testing of it in pregnant women. My GP said she wouldn’t have it if she was pregnant either. I do think it’s a personal decision though

@MrsRyan15 yes I can see it’s going to be very different! I’m dreading the tiredness kicking in. Last time I’d get home from work and have an hour nap, won’t be able to do that this time!

penny92 · 04/05/2021 12:37

I've also got lower back ache a bit like I get when on my period, which I do find a bit disconcerting but I'm guessing its just that there is a lot of activity in the general womb area!

I have been gagging a lot and had near constant nausea which only subsides when I eat something dry and salty - pombears are my friend!

I had really strong positives with all my tests this time round, so I am praying these all good signs.

Missingcoffee22 · 04/05/2021 12:37

I'm going to try and make the most of wfh and nap when I really feel I have to... although work wise I need to be more productive as I can't work late to make up for it anymore, as need to do nursery run.

Also so glad I'm not getting crowded trains into London every day this time. I almost passed out several times and ended up jumping off a stop early once, and sitting on the floor to not faint a couple of times. Getting through the crowdw to seats was near impossible, even if you did flash the baby on board badge!

@Giraffe888 I agree with your view re: the vaccine, I do think more testing is needed and the RCOG actually say its okay to wait so I don't really see the rush unless you're high risk...
But yeah, definitely a personal decision

Hey hope everyone is doing ok ❤️ Just wanted to let you all know I started a thread on the covid vaccine called covid vaccine if you want to have a look on there. There’s quite a few people who have got involved and it’s quite interesting 😊 x

Kayleighmj4 · 04/05/2021 14:11

Hi guys!

First time at 29! I believe I am
around 5 weeks 5 days! Feeling lots of cramps but managing. I have enjoyed reading this thread.. lots of tips as I have no clue!!

Joanna0x · 04/05/2021 15:45

@MrsFLongbottom I can't swallow the big pregnacare tablets so i always get the vitamins separately as they are tiny and easier for me to take. I have folic acid, vitamin D and vitamin C so far and next I will be getting Iron.

@penny92 my back is so achey like I'm about to come on my period, it always worries me but I do think I am prone to it during pregnancy.

So I referred myself to the midwives and because my last period was 24th January they want to scan me next week as they put me at 14 weeks. I know I'm not that far along but at least I will get an early scan. I did say on my form that I am breastfeeding and my periods are all out of whack because of it

MrsFLongbottom · 04/05/2021 15:45

I feel so mixed about the vaccine- it will be a while before I’m in line for it anyway so I think I’ll see how it looks then and if there is any more data available. I’m 32 and generally low risk but I think pregnancy can cause unusual reactions even in low risk groups (rarely but possible) so I feel a bit torn.

Joanna0x · 04/05/2021 15:53

@MrsFLongbottom I'm in the same position with the vaccine

BabyBunnyMama · 04/05/2021 15:55

Ahh I've been waiting to see a January thread Grin

I found out last week I was pregnant with baby Number 2. Due on the 4th January!

RHODXB · 04/05/2021 16:04

I had my second dose of Astra Zeneca on 23rd April! 😬 Obv not aware I was pregnant!

Missingcoffee22 · 04/05/2021 16:04

@Kayleighmj4 congratulations!

@Babybunnymama yay another due date buddy!

Giraffe888 · 04/05/2021 16:22

@BabyBunnyMama and @Missingcoffee22 think that’s 3 of us with the same due date now!

Giraffe888 · 04/05/2021 16:23

@MrsFLongbottom I saw on the news last week that they’re going to start offering it to all pregnant ladies

I’m sooo bloated. I’ve usually got a flat stomach and I look pregnant already!!!

Missingcoffee22 · 04/05/2021 16:25
**@BabyBunnyMama* and @Missingcoffee22* think that’s 3 of us with the same due date now!
I'm hoping the baby holds off a while, as it is my birthday 😂 my DD was only 3 days late but I think the heatwave brought her along as I had zero signs of her coming until the day I went into labour.

RHODXB · 04/05/2021 16:26

@Giraffe888 I'm 4th Jan too!

MrsFLongbottom · 04/05/2021 16:49

@Joanna0x Oo maybe you’ll end up getting an extra scan! I was also breastfeeding until about 2 weeks ago when I felt I had to stop- now I think it was because I was pregnant and my supply dropped (already was only doing one feed for bedtime and nothing else). My last period was really odd, so I have half thought I might be further along than 6 weeks but like you they’ve been all over the place so it’s hard to know!

@Giraffe888 yeah it’s great news I think- I just feel a bit nervous about it all! I did a bit of reading after I posted though and so many pregnant women in America have had it so I feel a bit better Smile

BabyBunnyMama · 04/05/2021 17:04

@missingcoffee22 @giraffe888 Ahh amazing! Is these your first babies? Smile

Missingcoffee22 · 04/05/2021 17:09

@BabyBunnyMama no, my second. My first is a bit over 1 and a half 😊 a very different experience!

BabyBunnyMama · 04/05/2021 17:12

@missingcoffee22 ah I'm the same. Have a DD who has just turned 2 so pregnancy will be a bit more of a challenge this time around I think!
