Hey Smile

So I’m probably one of the First Ladies on here to be due in 2022! My due date is Jan 1st 2022 - New Year’s Day.

I am actually not due on AF until this Thursday coming but have had strong positives for the last 2 days so keeping everything crossed!

Is there any other 2022 mums yet?

I posted earlier but can't see it now.. so sorry if I end up having double posted!

@Giraffe888 I will probably tell my mum soon because I talk to her all the time, and will find it hard not to discuss everything I'm feeling!

@Ralala I'm feeling so sick. Still no boob pain and cramping has been minimal. But fell asleep on the couch again last night, and was a total zombie when my toddler woke for cuddles in the middle of the night. Then felt super hot when getting her ready and was worried I was about to actually throw up 😷 but luckily not yet!

Giraffe888 · 04/05/2021 08:38

If I ovulated on 15th April, does anyone know when a CB digital should show 3+?

Ralala · 04/05/2021 08:45

@Missingcoffee22 I hear you. My little one has decided on 6 am wake ups this last week. It’s torture!

HforHavana · 04/05/2021 08:46

Can I jump on please ladies? Found out yesterday and dates put me due around 7th Jan. Completely unexpected as we weren't actively trying, so a shock to the system as it's our first!! Still in disbelief and still don't quite believe it eeeek!

Not cool guys, not cool!

Sorry I've forgotten - how old is your first?

mummabear20202022 · 04/05/2021 08:48

@Giraffe888 from my experience, always a day or two after 3 weeks from conception, so maybe try Friday or Saturday? I'm going to do one on Saturday/Sunday and then I am done testing because I am obsessed 🤣🤣

Has anyone got their first scan date? Mine is the 1st July! Seems so long away so I'm trying to justify £70 for an early scan at 8/9 weeks like we had with our little girl!!

Ralala · 04/05/2021 08:51

She’s 3 and enjoys running through to wake me up with jumping on my head 🤣

Mamadaw · 04/05/2021 08:52

@mummabear20202022 no scan date yet. I have my first appointment over the phone next Tuesday and then blood tests on the Wednesday. I'm hoping they will give me some idea then of how long it'll be until the scan. I'm terrible at being patient 😅

Ralala · 04/05/2021 08:53

@mummabear20202022 1st July seems like a lifetime away! How many weeks are you just now?

I haven’t booked in yet. Will do so when I hit 6/7 weeks so maybe mid way through next week. We self refer to the midwife anyway online so easy enough to do

Missingcoffee22 · 04/05/2021 08:55

@Ralala haha what a lovely alarm!

osmo18 · 04/05/2021 09:00

Hello!
I found out I was pregnant last week and have worked out that I'm around 5 weeks now! I've booked an early scan for 2 weeks timeSmile

osmo18 · 04/05/2021 09:01

Sorry should have said due date is working out around 3rd January

Giraffe888 · 04/05/2021 09:03

@mummabear20202022 I thought around Friday so I shall do it on Saturday to be on the safe side! I am then doing no more tests either 😂

My DS still wakes every 1.5-2hrs every night and is up at 6am 😴

mummabear20202022 · 04/05/2021 09:03

@Mamadaw my booking in appointment isn't until the end of this month! It's all changed even from last year (possibly last year was worse off due to covid just hitting?) I was told booking appointment and scan time over the phone while referring myself!

@Ralala soo long, however we're trying to be reasonable this time , all in all I think me and my partner spent about £250 in private scans last time, which is so excessive however we had been trying for 2 years and thought it might be our only child! The only private scan I want to do is the 3D one again as it was sooo nice!!

Giraffe888 · 04/05/2021 09:04

@HforHavana and @osmo18 congratulations! Lovely to have you with us!

Giraffe888 · 04/05/2021 09:05

We’ve booked an early scan for 21st may. No way could I wait until 12 weeks 😳

I rang my GP last week and they took my details and said midwife will contact me at 8/9 weeks

Missingcoffee22 · 04/05/2021 09:05

@Giraffe888 you are a superhero, that is tiring without pregnancy!

Bexboo1 · 04/05/2021 09:06

Hi, hope you don't mind me joining. Got my bfp last Thursday due jan 8th I think. Yesterday I started bleeding lightly (not going on the pad I put down just when I wipe) it's like a pink mucusy blood, no clots or dark red blood. Spoke to epu and they will scan me next week but just wondering if anyone had anything similar? Going out of my mind about it, it's so worrying x

zeromango · 04/05/2021 09:21

@Bexboo1 sounds like it could possibly be implantation? How worrying for you, but great you're being seen by EPU! Keeping everything crossed for you Thanks with my DD I had very pale brown spotting around time of AF that got darker and then turned reddish brown. Dates were totally out at the scan (over a week behind!) and they ended up putting it down to implantation. It went away after a week and never came back, so I totally understand the absolute worry and fear!

zeromango · 04/05/2021 09:26

@Giraffe888 I'm the same Grin scan booked for the 29th because there is no way I can hold on to 12 weeks and booking in appointment with the midwife is only a couple of weeks away which feels like I'm doing "something"

I'd have scans weekly if I could afford it haha!

Giraffe888 · 04/05/2021 09:37

@Bexboo1 that’s exactly what I had with my DS when I was 5-6 wks. It happened on 4 occasions and was always a deep pink-red but mucousy too. I had an early scan and all was fine. I now have a 21 month old monkey!!

@Missingcoffee22 I know it’s habit he’s got into as I still breastfeed him. I need to somehow get him out of it, especially with another on the way!

osmo18 · 04/05/2021 09:51

Apologies if this has already been spoken about earlier in the thread but can I ask how everyone is feeling as we're all roughly the same amount of weeks there or there abouts!
My boobs are super super sore and sensitive, I felt sort of travel sick for a day or two last week but that's gone away and not come backBlushthe only symptoms I have is I find I am extremely tired and sore chest...if you've had a pregnancy before when did your symptoms kick in?
Also another question - if you haven't had the vaccine yet, are you still going to go for it? I think I would still like to have it as soon as I'm offered it

Missingcoffee22 · 04/05/2021 09:56

@osmo18 everything online says symptoms normally kick in properly at 6 weeks. But also some people just aren't sick! It's just the stereotype. I'm feeling sick but no sore boobs, which I had before. So every pregnancy different!

Re vaccine.. don't know! I feel like I'd feel better having it when out of 1st trimester just in case (even though I know really safe) and I think I'll be 2nd trimester by the time offered it as under 30. But DH is quite nervous about me having it and given how low risk I am, wondering if just to wait until I've given birth. Dont know. Will discuss with midwives, gp, whoever when my time comes!

osmo18 · 04/05/2021 10:00

@Missingcoffee22 that's reassuring to hear! This is my first pregnancy and it's so easy to get stuck on the idea of stereotypical pregnancy symptoms, I have been panicking because I have barely any at all!
I would like to get the vaccine, I'm not against it at all it just worries me how little evidence there is within pregnancy, unfortunately there's not years of science behind us with this one..I'm going to contact my GP after my viability scan and then discuss at the appointment too

Lakedeal · 04/05/2021 10:09

@osmo18 I'm definitely going to get the vaccine. RCOG guidance is that if you're getting vaccinated pregnant women should have the Pfizer or Moderna (not quite sure of the spelling, sorry!) one, as they've been used in the states with no safety concerns.

I absolutely think everyone should make their own decision, but my first baby was born in April last year, at the height of the first wave. I had been shielding but it was so hard being on a ward with people and not knowing if they'd been as careful. One of the ladies in my NCT group caught covid while she was in hospital for the birth. I'm not saying this to freak anyone out, and I'm sure hospitals have MUCH better systems in place now (none of us got tested on admission or anything like that). But I think I would feel so much better if I'd been vaccinated so I'll be taking it up as soon as I'm offered.
