Hey Smile

So I’m probably one of the First Ladies on here to be due in 2022! My due date is Jan 1st 2022 - New Year’s Day.

I am actually not due on AF until this Thursday coming but have had strong positives for the last 2 days so keeping everything crossed!

Is there any other 2022 mums yet?

We've had a tough weekend with my daughter being unwell, and I'm also super anxious as something has gone wrong at work which I need to fess up to tomorrow. So I feel knackered, as I've not slept, sick and anxious. Not sure if it's pregnancy related of rest of life related!

Ralala · 03/05/2021 15:55

@TinyTickler that sounds like a rough weekend. Try and relax and reassure yourself the work thing can be sorted xxx

BFirstTimer · 03/05/2021 16:58

@Zm2019 hang in there! And I think already having had one is a good thing for having more (at least that's what they say).

I'm 4+4 but I have a long cycle so my p would definitely be coming on around now... I do feel slight cramping and some sensations that remind me of a period which is a bit worrying. No blood yet. Will be glad when the next few says are over and I can mark this p as officially missed!

Luckily took a cheapy test this morning and the line was nice and dark :)

Question- does HCG go up only after implantation has taken place?

DollW86 · 03/05/2021 17:15

Hi,

I got my bfp a few days ago after trying for 9 months. I’ve worked it out that I will be due 5th January 2022, (with my second child).

Congratulations to you all x

MrsRyan15 · 03/05/2021 18:20

Hi, got my BFP yesterday I'm 4+3 and due on 7th Jan.

Slightly in shock as it took over 18 months to conceive DD who will be 2 in July.

I'm really happy, but also a little bit gutted that I'm going to miss out on lots of the fun stuff (by that I mean drinking 🤣) now lock down is easing.

Haha I feel this - I have a girls' trip to Brighton (touch wood) with a bottomless brunch and evenings at bars. Fingers crossed I'll at least be able to tell them rather than fake it or have an excuse, assuming all goes well until 12 week scan 🤞
PT8998 · 03/05/2021 18:39

Hey! So I am now 5+1 and I have been spotting since Saturday afternoon.

Anyone else been in a similar situation?

DoesTheQueenOrderChinese · 03/05/2021 19:15

5 weeks 3 days today.

I'm insanely constipated (sorry if TMI) is anyone else? Blush

DoesTheQueenOrderChinese · 03/05/2021 19:16

@PT8998 try not to panic, it's normal at the stage Thanks

PT8998 · 03/05/2021 19:23

@DoesTheQueenOrderChinese firstly I love your username! Secondly, thank you! I’m trying to stay so positive and almost imagine it’s not there 🙈. Just can’t help but have those odd moments of “what if”.

18th May will be my viability scan... it’s an IVF baby! Feels like a lifetime away!

Clarkey86 · 03/05/2021 19:36

@DoesTheQueenOrderChinese You have my sympathy! Possibly a hormone thing?

I don’t have constipation but I have discovered a (TMI) haemorrhoid which I’ve never had before Sad May or may not be related but I’m not happy!

And my right boob feels swollen and tender whilst my left boob is living it’s best life.

Nashsophie13 · 03/05/2021 20:04

@DoesTheQueenOrderChinese I’m exactly the same with the constipation. Any tips on if there’s anything to eat or drink to help with this? X

MerlinK4 · 03/05/2021 20:17

Long term constipation expert here Hmm first off try and up your water in take, you might find that helps enough. A tummy rub can also be helpful, circling around your belly button.

Food wise, look for extra fibre. All Bran, Bran Flakes, fruit and veg. Bananas and dates work for me. Prunes are the classic choice.

If all else fails, pop to the pharmacist and ask them to recommend something. Laxido (soluble powder) or glycerin suppositories are my 'favouites'! There are various pregnancy safe options.

Nashsophie13 · 03/05/2021 20:49

@MerlinK4 thank you babe that’s helpful ❤️ I do drink a lot of water so will try the food options and if all else fails will do what you said about the pharmacist x

Giraffe888 · 03/05/2021 21:01

@PT8998 I had spotting around this time with my first DS and everything was fine so try not to worry x

Giraffe888 · 03/05/2021 21:03

@MrsRyan15 I’m due 4th and my DS is 2 in July!

PT8998 · 03/05/2021 21:11

@Giraffe888 thank you!! Appreciate the reassurance. I go from being very rational and thinking everything is fine to having a mini moment. Just got to get to the viability scan and all will (🤞🏼) be okay!

Giraffe888 · 04/05/2021 06:18

@PT8998 I had spotting on 4/5 occasions. It was bright red blood that I had too so it really freaked me out!

Fingers crossed all goes well for you

Giraffe888 · 04/05/2021 06:21

Morning how is everyone?

I’ve still not got any symptoms other than extreme bloating and dry mouth.

I’m 4+6 today

Who have people told? We’ve told parents, my sister and my 2 best friends. I’m not superstitious about telling people and I’ve told the people I’d want there for me

My sister was saying she doesn’t think it’s as much of a thing to wait until 12 weeks anymore and mh mum said when she had me & my siblings you just told everybody straightaway

I’ll need to tell work soon as there’s things I’ll not be allowed to do x

PT8998 · 04/05/2021 06:42

@Giraffe888 thank you! I had a few small stringy brown clots this morning (sorry TMI). I hope this stops soon! ☹️

To answer your other post, I told a couple of colleagues (just to be safe in work) and I have told a few close friends. Not told family yet. I want to get past my viability scan first. Then I’ll tell family. Public announcement will be somewhere between 12 and 20 week scan.

TinyTickler · 04/05/2021 06:52

@Giraffe888 I've not told anyone yet but am firmly of the same gielllview there's no harm in telling anyone, especially those you'd want supporting you if the worst happened... last time round we told
Family and close friends as soon as we found out.

My mum is going through a health scare
atm though and I worry that she wouldn't cope with something else to worry about, and don't want to tell husbands family and not mine... I might tell my sister in a couple of weeks.

MrsFLongbottom · 04/05/2021 07:24

@Giraffe888 I told my parents last night and PIL, but not telling my sisters yet as my middle sister just told us all she’s pregnant with her first (13 weeks) and I want to let her enjoy being the pregnant one for a bit! She’ll be excited for us but still.

I’ve had to get the liquid pregnancy vitamins because I can’t swallow the tablets - anyone else? I had to e same trouble last time, they’re enormous and not what you need of already queasy!

Congratulations everyone who’s joined Smile

Mamadaw · 04/05/2021 07:27

Hope it's ok if I join. We found out I'm pregnant last monday, but dates are a little muddled 😅 I think due date will be around 31st Dec, but my daughter was late so assuming this one will be too. So Jan 2022 baby if all goes well 🤞
We've already told family as with my daughter (now 6) I was sick until 37 weeks and really struggled. I'm slightly worried about telling my employer as when I joked about wanting a baby for Christmas she snapped "well I've been with my boyfriend longer than you so I should have a baby first" 😂 I get the feeling the news won't be received well! I'm currently on furlough and returning on the 17th, but won't be telling her until after the first scan.

Ralala · 04/05/2021 08:26

Having had 2 losses I won’t be telling anyone until 12 weeks plus. Probably around 16 weeks once screening is typically all done. While it’s nice to have support equally telling those I had lost the baby was extremely hard. Only a handful of people knew each time but this time it will just be hubs and I for a while xxx

Ralala · 04/05/2021 08:30

How are we all doing so far? I’m 5 weeks today. Boobs feel soooo heavy, slight cramps in the tummy. I’m trying not to over think every single twinge at the moment
