Are these photos a sign of miscarriage?

I just don't know what's happening with me, it's all new to me!! I am 3 weeks, 3 days today.

@charlotte0808 My doctors won't do anything until 6 weeks which is annoying!!

OP -FYI 2-3 on a digital is 4-5 in real terms.

That does look like a mc I’m sorry.

charlotte0808 · 12/04/2021 22:52

@ellxabellsx surely they would do bloods to make your your levels are going back to normal 🙈 it's awful because if it is a mc it's kind of false hope still having positive tests 😞 been there and it drives you crazy. After my bleeding about a week or so I had a negative in the morn a positive in the afternoon also a positive ovulation test but I was ovulating had my period 2 weeks later. X

Chica1990 · 13/04/2021 03:10

I’m surprised at the look of your positives after this bleeding OP. If you continue to test positive they really should be arranging a blood test for you 48 hours apart.

Hoping for a good outcome for you

@Chica1990 i know!! this Sunday i would have been bleeding 3 three weeks! It's gone back heavy now so it's getting to me abit now, 3 weeks is long... Still getting positives though. i'm just hoping i'm one of them who bleed while pregnant because then all of this wouldn't have been for nothing :(

@charlotte0808 I've asked my doctors everything they have said they can do anything! They're rubbish, i know someone who had internal scans and all sorts! For some reason they don't want to know me..

@ellxabellsx ah I didn’t realise it had been that long. In that case I would try and get referred by your gp to the epu. I had the same and turned out to be ectopic, I thought at the time I was going in for the surgery I was 4 weeks and didn’t click it could have been going on longer, after they said I was 8 weeks.

I’m not saying you’ll have the same outcome but I think it’s best to get checked out just in case!

I had the same...bleeding on and off for weeks...positive tests, darker, then lighter. I had an ectopic and had to have my tube removed at 9 weeks...my HCG was over 11,000. The hospital missed it. Please keep on at them x

@Amumtomyson was you in any pain? i've had no pain whatsoever but still heavy bleeding and positive tests...

I’m so sorry this is happening to you. If you’ve been bleeding for so long but still getting positive tests it could be a clot in the womb? I think it’s called a subchromic hematoma (or something like that). Fingers crossed for you!! I would be demanding to see the EPU, I would just keep calling them as they should be able to check you over. I’ve had two miscarriages around 6 and 8 weeks, one was in no pain at all and the second was in agony so it can be different for anyone, hoping it’s the best for you!

PurpleandOrange · 13/04/2021 20:18

Please demand to be referred to the EPU, OP, this has potential signs of an ectopic, which must be investigated ASAP. If your doctor won't refer you, go to A&E and tell them you are worried about ectopic and they will either scan or refer to EPU. And don't let them tell you that if you have no pain it's not ectopic, some ladies don't get pain until it's too late and tube has burst

Amumtomyson · 13/04/2021 20:19

@ellxabellsx no pain...they were shocked when my HCG came back that high as apparently they didn't see anything on my scan and told me I'd miscarried. I then had to have a diagnostic laparoscopy where it was in my right tube and was removed. They later apologised as admitted they didn't look at the tubes properly 🥺 I felt so let down. Please please keep on at them. I kept thinking maybe I'm just going to bleed, but it's not the norm...x

@ellxabellsx I definitely would, I called EPU they done the same to me first time but I just kept calling, eventually done a scan. Even if they can’t see anything should be able to tell you if your cervix is closed, might give you peace of mind. Good luck x

Chica1990 · 13/04/2021 21:35

@ellxabellsx I only had niggling pains in my back (both sides) with mine but wasn’t worse than period pain, I thought it could be implantation. I felt absolutely fine otherwise and had been baffled by the weird bleeding.

Like @Amumtomyson they couldn’t see anything on a scan with me but my hcg was at low levels. I had to have a diagnostic laparoscopy for confirm it where they removed my tube. The problem is you don’t get to this point quick and you need the bloods done which will take 2 days plus waiting for results and they may not want to confirm anything right away and do more tests or scans. If you are ectopic then you might have levels low enough to be offered the injection which could spare your tubes but means you can’t try for 3 months.

Again fingers crossed this isn’t what’s happening but it’s worth checking out incase there is something serious brewing so you can be ahead of it and take control. When you call the Epu tell them you’re having bleeding and you could even mention pain if they need more reason to see you!

els10 · 13/04/2021 21:37

Call EPU, they should see you for a scan if you're far along enough or at least a blood test! I bled for 10 days after my positive, and they were stronger after that, got 3+ on a clear blue etc.
Baby never developed to heartbeat or even a fetal pole but my HCG was still increasing but slowly, that's why I was still getting positives.
Don't let them fob you off x

@ellxabellsx what time did you call them? If it was this evening they may not have had consultants of scans free, definitely try again in the morning

@Chica1990 got a scan on the 26th April!! woohoo

That's great news that they are finally listening. However they really should not be asking you to wait that long. 100% you should be having at least blood tests to check whether HCG is moving appropriately.

When I had similar, they scanned at 5 weeks and again at 6 weeks, accompanied by blood tests every two days (from 4.5 weeks) to check HCG was moving appropriately - it wasn't, but luckily resolved itself without any injections or surgery

Really don't want to alarm here but they need to take this more seriously!

I totally agree. When I had mine and as it was missed they said they're more careful now. I am hoping you aren't from where I am.

@PurpleandOrange i'm taking this as a good sign HOPEFULLY. The bottom one is what i've done a couple of hours ago!
