@Cakelaur hahaha it feels like yesterday! This will hopefully be our second living child. We've lost little boy early last year to TFMR and then had 4 miscarriages, so it's been a bit of a journey and this pregnancy couldn't be any different from my first one. But I think we'll get there, it's just a question of screening now.... and the wait is just the worst.

Horehound · 10/04/2021 11:38

I feel crap today. 19m old brought a cold home from nursery and he has had it a few days so I thought and hoped I wasn't getting it. Woke up and feel absolutely rotten. My husband has it too but thankfully he's letting me stay on bed and has taken the wee one up the High street.

I was shattered from the week anyway on top of being pregnant so just really really need a rest

I think colds and other infections are part and parcel with early pregnancy. I've been the same for the last week. 🤧

I have my early scan at 6+1 next week and the nerves are starting to creep in a bit. I'll be so glad when it's done and everything's confirmed as being okay.

I keep thinking I'm going to go and they'll tell me there's no baby. 😑 the CB digital is still saying 3+ weeks and I've had no bleeding/severe pain, so I have no reason to believe anything's wrong. It's just...there. 🥺🤷🏻‍♀️

wannabemum38 · 10/04/2021 13:58

@TreeRoad I think anxiety is part and parcel of pregnancy it seems. I didn't know how worried i would be every day when I wake up. I have a scan booked for Friday 16th now as had to change it I will be 6+5 so hoping to see some growth and development.

Mayneedanextraroom · 10/04/2021 16:39

Hope you’re feeling a little better today @ImmyTTC

Welcome to all the newbies 😊
And wonderful scan news @lucea87 !

I woke up and had some bleeding when I wiped 😔 been worrying all day. I seem to bleed in pregnancy, but it doesn’t always work out ok. I’m a nervous wreck...

First pregnancy was a mmc found at 12 week scan. Then took years to fall pregnant again, just as we were referred for ivf it happened. Had my DD then decided to try for another and had a very early loss at about 5 weeks, before my next period started I fell pregnant with my DS.

Fast forward to last year and I had another mmc, I knew something was wrong, so I booked a private scan, baby’s heart had stopped beating just before 10 weeks, I don’t think I’ve ever cried as much, it hit hard, I think seeing the baby with a heartbeat (we had a nhs epu scan due to bleeding at about 6 weeks and saw the heartbeat) so I really hoped everything would be ok. I was nearly 12 weeks when we realised the baby stopped growing a couple of weeks before, then had a failed d&c ... it just felt never ending. I know if everything turns out ok I will have family ask why on Earth we’re doing it again and why didn’t we stop at 2. I kind of feel this is the last chance, if things go wrong I don’t think I’m strong enough to try again. May phone the dr Monday and see if I can get referred to the epu.

@NoCallerID I’m so sorry you have been through such a tough time, thinking of you and thinking lots of positive thoughts for your little bean

Sorry that was a long one, can’t really talk to anyone as nobody knows apart from my husband.

Pregnancy is the most anxious time @TreeRoad thinking of you and everyone here on this crazy journey x

Ameteurmum · 10/04/2021 16:46

I’m here but quietly. Had a loss at 17 weeks last year so I’m very cautiously celebrating! Due Dec 10th!

Mayneedanextraroom · 10/04/2021 17:31

@Ameteurmum ♥️ Congratulations and so sorry for your loss x

TreeRoad · 10/04/2021 17:38

@wannabemum38 Yeah I think it is. You'd think "okay, I'm pregnant, let's enjoy it!" but it definitely isn't as simple as that.

This is my first baby so I've got nothing to compare pain, twinges, symptoms etc to.

Wishing my life away to get to next Wednesday when I can go for the scan. I'm even fine with going to work on Monday as the days pass faster when I'm busy.

Sounds like you're a couple of days ahead of me, due date around Dec 5th?

Hopefully it's all plain sailing for everyone on the thread! 🙏🏼

TreeRoad · 10/04/2021 17:40

It's good that we'll all finish the scary first trimester at very similar times. Can't wait until the relaxed days ahead when we're talking about prams and Moses baskets 😂

TheDamnFoolThatShotHim · 10/04/2021 17:48

Hello all!

I was on the last thread but haven't posted on this one yet.

It's strangely reassuring to read others saying they feel apprehensive. After a MC at almost 12 weeks in November I'm feeling so nervous about this pregnancy.

I tried to book an early scan but wasn't able to get through and am still waiting for someone to return my message to get it booked in.

Ameteurmum · 10/04/2021 18:00

And to you! It’s our third too and to be honest if this doesn’t end in a take home baby then I’m sticking at two, the emotional toll would be unbearable xxx

Taenia · 10/04/2021 18:09

This is my first and I'm so anxious about something going wrong.. it's been a massive reassurance that everyone else is also feeling the same anxieties and concerns and it's not just me being a negative individual! :) thanks mumsnetters xx

jdr1234 · 10/04/2021 19:11

Evening all, I’m 6 + 4 and experiencing constant nausea, been getting worse over the course of 5 days and today it’s completely floored me. No actual puking but just feel awful and exhausted. Already feeling massive guilt for my DS and DD who I’ve been completely useless for all week. Anyone got any tips? Never had this with other two. Am drinking lots of fluids and eating small and often.

TakeYourFinalPosition · 10/04/2021 20:26

Hi all!

I’m new - got my first ever BFP today at 12dpo. I’m 4+6 if I date from my last period, but I ovulated late this month and I’m only 3+6 from that date...

I’m so excited. Due date of 20th December. I’m excited but scared! I’ve got some Clearblue Digital tests arriving tomorrow...

I’m also West Mids. And bizarrely nervous about something going wrong!

IndigoJam · 10/04/2021 20:42

I'm 4+1 due 17th December. I feel so bad about making this baby having a Christmas birthday. I know people with them that hate them. Just feel so bad right now about that but happy to be pregnant. Confusing times

climbershell · 10/04/2021 20:51

@TakeYourFinalPosition first time BFP for me too. I also ovulated late cd20, so even though last period 6 March, I'm guessing 4+3

I'm West Midlands too

Does anyone else keep randomly thinking they some how might not be pregnant anymore... Even tho no spotting, mild cramp/stitch and super fatigued!

Also, weirdly big red spots pretty much on my bum crack!! I think that's pregnancy related! Itchy!!

Happythoughts91 · 10/04/2021 21:03

@climbershell yes I think exactly this. I said to my other half today, I feel like I’ve imagined the whole thing and I’ll go for our early scan and nothing with be there 😂😂

climbershell · 10/04/2021 21:32

@Happythoughts91 definitely! I want to test every day! I'm not letting myself til next Wed, so a full week later, want to see the Clear Blue go from 1-2, to 2-3 and then 3+ 🤣

wannabemum38 · 10/04/2021 22:47

@TreeRoad. Yes due on 5th. I was pregnant 20 years ago but very young and different circumstances and lost it at 8 or 9 weeks so coupled with im 40 I am so anxious and every cramp and every time I go to loo I'm paranoid
This thread and Facebook group is so helpful as aside from father of baby noone knows. I dont want to tell anyone until 8 week scan.

MrsBrault · 10/04/2021 22:53

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me jumping in! I'm from Leeds and this is my first little one.

I'm currently 6 weeks as of tomorrow. I came off the pill as we were planning to try and I never even got my first period 🙈, I found out I was positive a week ago and I'm still in shock, but super excited!

Because this is my first, so I'm very worried and anxious so finding these forums and groups really helpful to chat to people who are going through the same thing.

I'm currently getting period like cramps (which have improved since last week), slight nausea and the most sore boobs EVER!

How are you all doing?

MrsBrault · 10/04/2021 22:58

@wannabemum38 I'm also due on the 5th! How excitingGrin

@happythoughts91 I did the same with clear blue, but im not sure how accurate they are. Mine hasn't changed from 2-3 weeks to 3+ and I'm pretty much 99% sure on my conception date because I was tracking sex. I am going to test again in the morning, but It is definitely stressing me out it hasn't changed yet as I should be 6 weeks tomorrow x

OmicronPersei7 · 10/04/2021 23:59

Hello! Had my copper coil out 6 months ago, been bumping uglies for moooooonnnnnths (that but has been fun, at least! Grin )

Finally, today.... BFP!!! I’m 5 weeks tomorrow and bouncing off the walls!

Feels good to actually say it. Want to scream it from the rooftops!

Congratulations to everyone else in this chat! Daffodil

It’s my FIL’s birthday on Monday and we’ve planned gin and tonics in the garden to celebrate (haven’t spent time with them since Christmas Day!) .... I’m practicing my “sorry, I’m on antibiotics lie”

tuesday2am · 11/04/2021 05:19

Welcome to everyone who has joined and congratulations! ☺️

@Happythoughts91 It’s nice to hear of someone else wedding planning at the same time as having a baby! 😂🥰 We’ll have a 10 month old at ours. Got engaged last August but held off planning cause of Covid. Now started the planning process and hope to book for autumn ‘22. Got our first venue showround today at lunch time. I keep dithering about whether we should hold off until ‘23 but DP think it’ll be fine. I think we might just hold off on taking our honeymoon until a while after the wedding. We’ll have a 4 year old there too. 😊

BrodieKD · 11/04/2021 07:05

@OmicronPersei7 congratulations!! You must be thrilled! I have similar on Thursday and I am thinking of having a sore head so when I'm offered a drink I can say 'maybe later, just gonna have a water to shift this headache first' and hope it works 😀

@IndigoJam I did wonder this too but they won't know any different.

@jdr1234 I've been drinking soda water and lime and it seems to help me with nausea.

This is my first and random things pop into my head like...this year I am going to be Santa...and...I'll be the parent going to parents evening. I'm trying to hold in the excitement until after the scan but I just can't help myself.

FuzzyPup · 11/04/2021 07:28

@BrodieKD - this is my second, but I love those random things that pop into your head. I was completely emotional the other day as I was pushing DS (20 months) in his pram, on the way home from nursery, and thought that it won’t be too long before I have another little face looking up at me!

With thoughts about Christmas I am soooo excited to buy lots of baby Christmas outfits. We had a seamstress near us, who changed our DS first Christmas outfits into his personalised Christmas stocking. I can’t wait to do that again, she’s amazing.
