I’ve had bleeding in all my pregnancies. 2 were miscarriages, but only after we had seen heartbeat with 1, so it’s hard to know what will happen. My first they believe may have actually been an ectopic and passed it out the tube myself. Very painful, really don’t recommend it.
I had more bleeding with my DD and she is now 18 months old.
I’ve booked early scans for all as it did but some of my worries to bed.
I am also 42 which hasn’t helped me. This is our last try, if I miscarry again I’m done. I said I would stop trying at 43 anyway.

Cumspe · 22/04/2021 18:06

@lucea87 congratulations. Are yours identical? They didn’t say but I don’t think they are. I didn’t think to ask I was so overwhelmed my brain emptied when they told me. 😂 The questions have only just started!!!

I wouldn't have thought to ask but she said they looked to be non identical, separate sacs and separate placentas, so basically I produced 2 eggs which makes sense as I didn't ovulate the month before!! I think we've just about got over the shock and are onto excitement now 😂

Nellieee · 22/04/2021 18:31

Twins! Congrats @Cumspe. How exciting!!!!!

gizmo167 · 22/04/2021 18:33

@Em39ma I just turned 43 last month, this is my 3rd pregnancy in just over a year, the other 2 I mc at 6 week mark, understand how you feel, I'm a nervous wreck, petrified something will go wrong this time too

Supamum3 · 22/04/2021 20:09

Congrats to all on here, so exciting there are two sets of twins - Amazing!!

How is everyone coping with the tiredness and nausea? I’m 7+5 and it’s relentless, I literally can not do a thing, I just need to lie down as much as possible. Docs prescribed me some anti sickness took one this morning and seemed to feel ok but since I took the next one I felt awful, I’ve dosed up on all the ginger but nothing is easing it Sad

Supamum3 · 22/04/2021 20:10

Oh and those going for early scans, are your dh allowed with you? ours isn’t until next month but with covid I’m worried I’ll have to go alone.

sjhs86 · 22/04/2021 20:17

@Supamum3 I’m 7+5 today too and the nausea is just awful. Coping ok with tiredness but I have been going to bed about this time every night....

I have an early scan tomorrow and DH is allowed to come in thankfully.

TakeYourFinalPosition · 22/04/2021 20:25

Ahh hello and congratulations to everyone new!!

Is anyone else cold all the time. Yess!! I've been under a blanket all day. I'm always so cold!

I'm debating an early scan. A bit of me thinks it'll just panic me more if they can't see much... but a bit of me thinks one around 8 weeks or so would be lovely.

We've not told anyone yet, but it's DH's birthday when I'm 10 weeks, and he likes the idea of telling his parents then... they'll be so excited, bless them. But a bit of me thinks that we should wait, mostly because there is ZERO chance that his mum will be able to keep it to herself, so it'll likely end up on Facebook, and DH & I have close friends who'd rather find out from us... so we're debating it.

I feel so anxious about getting to 12 weeks now! 7th June feels a lifetime away.

climbershell · 22/04/2021 20:28

I've booked a scan for Sat 8th May, when I should be 8.5 weeks (tho my app says 9 weeks but I think that's crap as I ovulated late)

2weeks, 2 days to wait! But I didn't want to risk going too early to see anything

I feel so tired & dizzy most days, nausea started 6weeks exactly, tho not full on nausea but just feeling pretty bleugh, little kinda hungover. Even bought coconut water today, which I haven't done since my hangover days 7+ years ago

Supamum3 · 22/04/2021 20:33

@sjhs86 yay for your dh to come with you. Yes defo early night for me too.l, today is the only day I haven’t napped as I was busy today. I keep getting hot and cold flashes too, I hate this part of pregnancy. This is will be my third so you’d think I’d be used to it SadGrin

climbershell · 22/04/2021 20:57

My partner is allowed to come with me to scan. 1 person from my household is allowed

Horehound · 22/04/2021 21:08

I am freezing!!! Look so silly in my winter coat when everyone is starting to go about in summer clothes 😂🥶

Horehound · 22/04/2021 21:11

Had my booking in appointment today over the phone. Got to go in to get blood and pee taken next week and then my 12 week scan on 11th may!

I’m just over 8 weeks with #3 and feel awful, almost constant nausea and feel like I have flu. Never had this with the other two and if I did not sure I would be doing it again 🤦‍♀️ Sending feel good vibes to anyone else struggling- we got this 🤢

Guineapiggiesmalls · 22/04/2021 21:52

Hello! Feeling like a bit of a latecomer, had a positive test on Tuesday and my due date is Christmas Day which I'm quite happy about. I went two weeks over with my first though, so half expecting this baby to make an appearance in 2022 (if everything goes well).

Still waiting for sickness to kick in, I had hyperemesis last time which was hellish, so desperately hoping I dodge it... hope everyone is feeling ok.

Amoh · 22/04/2021 22:35

@rosed1008 absolutely I feel you. I’m not exactly nauseous (at least not t during the day) but I don’t feel like eating anything. I’m not finding joy in food at all.

Lauevans2510 · 22/04/2021 22:37

8 weeks postpartum! Could this hcg be from my daughter! Hoping I'm not pregnant!

Minster2012 · 22/04/2021 23:01

I was freezing last year before my MMC it's quite common I think!

Amoh · 22/04/2021 23:48

@Cuddles21 I hope everything works out for you. Never thought a week could last so long. One of the things that I found reassuring was repeating my HPTs and observing the lines getting darker. Sort of a poor man’a quantitative b-HCG.

Hey @Mosshead348. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Were you surprised to find out you were pregnant so soon after? I sure was. Yeah this would be my first baby -although it’s weird to think of it that way. Is it yours too? As for the cramps I have them too. More dull ache than unbearable pain. I wouldn’t worry to much about it.

Cuddles21 · 23/04/2021 06:38

Thanks @Amoh - I'm quite an impatient person and the time seems to be going so so slow!! I keep telling myself though that there are a lot of things that will change when baby gets here so at the same time I need to enjoy the time and not wish it away!!

Inthecanyon · 23/04/2021 07:13

I am also freezing a lot of the time. Always in my dressing gown and under a blanket.

Is anyone else really struggling with nausea and vomiting. I am only 5 weeks today but I have kept no food down since Monday and barley any drinks either. I have tried various anti sickness and I am signed off work at the moment as I’m just so exhausted.

I have a feeling that is HG rather than just normal morning sickness. I just can’t shake it. As soon as food goes in it’s back out again Sad
Any tips?

MamaMoonbeam · 23/04/2021 07:25

@Inthecanyon - it won't help the cold but making icecubes out of dioralyte/rehydration drink/sports drink and sucking is good for attempting to stay rehydrated.
Generally recommend nibbling things, I have tucked biscuits and mint imperials/kendal mint cake, ginger nuts. Take tiny nibbles and wait 10 mins to see if it stays. If you're really struggling get in touch with your gp. Feel better soon xx

Minster2012 · 23/04/2021 07:26

@Inthecanyon have you tried the old crackers in the morning? & my friend used to swear by actual ginger slices that you buy from Chinese supermarkets. I made my own honey, lemon & ginger tea before when nausea hit
