@Hxoxox it shouldn’t be but I would just be prepared they might need to re scan or do transvaginal?
I’m going to book for 7 weeks on the dot

MamaMoonbeam · 22/04/2021 15:15

I'm not going to book an early scan, don't want the potential false hope that it would provide. Just going to wait for the NHS 12 week one as 12 weeks is the hurdle, in my eyes anyway.
I would probably wait until 7w if I were inclined to get one though. Good luck! 🍀

Horehound · 22/04/2021 15:27

@Hxoxox

After reading about the fact it can take days for implantation I'm now worried I've booked my scan too early lol. According to my app I'll be 6 +6 when I get it. Is this too early? X
Nah I had mine at 6+5 and saw a heartbeat. Someone on here at 5+5 and got a heartbeat!

@Hxoxox that's exactly the time I went and I had an excruciating week wait as my dates were out, even though I was so sure of them.

My advise would be to wait based on personal experience but everyone is different. Just go in knowing that if you don't see a beat yet, there may well be nothing wrong. I got myself in a right panic over the past week x

Cumspe · 22/04/2021 15:51

Welcome new people.

I joined last week then went silent as had pain on my side so was paranoid it was an ectopic. I was referred to EPU on Monday had a scan and the Dr could just about make out a gestational sac in the right place but she asked to go back today to confirm as the sac would be bigger.....after a lot of uncomfortable poking and prodding today it turns out there are two of them!!! I was so overwhelmed I cried and my mind is totally blown. You can imagine DPs face when I shared the news he is very excited and so am I. I do feel like I have double the worry now but trying to enjoy the moment. The last week has felt like an eternity so not sure how I will handle the wait for the 12 week scan.....had to share the news as feel like I could burst but I can’t tell anyone yet and I am soo distracted I can’t seem to get any work done.

For those of you worried about not having symptoms I wouldn’t worry too much as I know we can never stop completely. I have only felt a little tired which I would have dismissed had I not known I was pregnant and slightly sore boobs at 6+3wks. With the way I have been feeling I wouldn’t have imagined twins we are all different. 😳

Em39ma · 22/04/2021 15:53

Is anyone else cold all the time. I was like this with my DD, right up until she came out.
I’m hoping to book a scan for 7 weeks for I haven’t had one from Epau.
This is my 4th pregnancy in 2.5 years. Both my miscarriages were rather complicated as my body had a traumatic reaction to them.

EncroachingLoaf · 22/04/2021 16:01

Wow cumspe what amazing news, double congratulations! Grin

Thank you for the welcome horehound yes feeling a bit terrifed by the thought of number 3 actually 😂

I am not having symptoms as yet, had quite bad sickness with my other two so half expecting the same again! Fingers crossed not though.

Cumspe · 22/04/2021 16:03

@Em39ma I a have been feeling cold and obsessed with my water bottle. I spoke to the dr about using a water bottle on Monday and she said it was fine.

I am sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Have you contacted your GP or midwife? As they may offer an early scan if you have had complications in the past.

Cuddles21 · 22/04/2021 16:04

Omg congratulations @Cumspe - what amazing news!!

tuxedocat · 22/04/2021 16:13

@Cumspe oh gosh congratulations, do twins run in the family?!
Glad everything worked out for you, is this your first pregnancy?

Em39ma · 22/04/2021 16:22

@Cumspe going to contact the GP tomorrow. Af was only due on Monday , so I found I was pregnant very early I was around 3weeks 3 days. Rather obvious as I couldn’t stop gagging all morning.
I’m due around the 29th December, but they normally have to take I’m out early. I get severe hip pain, due to working as a nanny for 24 years and carrying to many kids around on the one hip, and I also get to much water. It’s hereditary in my case but by 12 weeks I normally look ready to pop, by 36 weeks I’m crying because I can barely move. And on top I get HG too.
Very much wanted baby, but when I see it written down like this, I wondering why I’m doing it again 😂

Cumspe · 22/04/2021 16:24

Thanks it’s crazy news

@tuxedocat my dad is a twin so we always joke about it growing up but it never crossed my mind that it would actually happen. It felt like the sort of thing that happens to other people as we had been trying for a long time

Cumspe · 22/04/2021 16:25

@tuxedocat yes it is my first pregnancy

tuxedocat · 22/04/2021 16:26

@Cumspe mega congratulations then - 2 babies after a long wait must feel like Christmas! Hope everything goes well ❤️

Cumspe · 22/04/2021 16:30

@Em39ma 😂 it’s like that with a lot of things in life if you break it down you question why on earth you would make certain decisions but when you see the results it’s always worth it. Hope it goes well with your GP and you get your referral to give you peace of mind

Cumspe · 22/04/2021 16:50

@tuxedocat thank you it does but scary too. Good luck with your next scan wishing you the well. We can do the slow countdown to Christmas 🎄

Patapouf · 22/04/2021 16:52

@Cuddles21

Welcome *@Patapouf* and congrats on the bfp!
Thank you!
LolaX94 · 22/04/2021 16:59

Wow amazing news that must be so relieving to see good news when you went back! Not to mention having 2! Huge congratulations to you xx

Rubi87 · 22/04/2021 17:01

Hi I got my bfp this week and I also live in Newark 😃😃 most people haven’t heard of it x

Rubi87 · 22/04/2021 17:03

@lucea87 sorry my post above was meant for you 😊

lucea87 · 22/04/2021 17:06

Hello @Rubi87 👋🏻 I usually say Nottingham!!!

Which hospital are you going to use or have you not got that far yet? Congrats!

Sorry guys I've been crap on here!! Hope everyone is doing ok! I'm 8+1 today and got another scan booked on Saturday to see my little beans ❤️

lucea87 · 22/04/2021 17:10

Congrats @Cumspe !!! More twins yay! Glad I'm no longer alone!!! We felt the exact same! Did they say if they are identical or not?xx

Hxoxox · 22/04/2021 17:33

Yeah I'm starting to think it's not a good idea incase I get nothing on the screen I'll be sick with worry for another week or two wait! Although if there's definitely nothing there then I will know. I had brown discharge this morning and some stomach cramps and there just now there was more and it was quite sticky! I'm so terrified and all I've seen today is people pushing prams! Feel like I just want to go to bed and hide until my scan! Why do I feel like this? My emotions are sky high!!

Rubi87 · 22/04/2021 17:34

@lucea87 twins congrats 😃 not got that far yet, But very likely kings mill. How about you? xx

lucea87 · 22/04/2021 17:37
@lucea87 twins congrats 😃 not got that far yet, But very likely kings mill. How about you? xx
Kings Mill for us! It was a no brainier as it rates to well and everyone who I've spoken to says it's absolutely the best. Is it your first?
I didn't know until my booking appointment but scans are at Newark Hospital which is handy as much less far to go! Also the midwife is lovely, I was at my booking appointment for 2 hours...she's really thorough.
