@Happythoughts91

Hi everyone sorry for going missing. I’m a hairdresser so crazy times at the moment with coming back to work, and the whole of the UK wanting a haircut 😂

I’m 6 weeks today, and still no major symptoms. I’m tired come the evening and going to sleep about 8.30/9pm. But that could be just coming back to work after being off.

We have booked an early scan for next Sunday, so I’ll be 7 weeks 4 days. Xx

Also a hairdresser! And 6+2 weeks too! Xx
beveroni · 14/04/2021 20:18

Got my BFP this morning!

My due date is December 25th 😅

TreeRoad · 14/04/2021 20:33
@TreeRoad brilliant news - congrats!! Must feel so good!!

Did they try the tummy scan first?

Just interested because I have mine tomorrow at 9.40 🤞🤞
Nah, they went straight for the internal. She said it would be better because I'm so early on, they felt it'd be more of a hassle to drink, dry the abdominal, have it not work because I was so early, have to go to the toilet to empty my bladder...it's a bit of a faff.

TreeRoad · 14/04/2021 20:33

Thanks for the lovely messages everyone! We're delighted tonight!

Inthecanyon · 14/04/2021 20:41

beveroni · 14/04/2021 20:52

Thank you!

beveroni · 14/04/2021 20:55

@Inthecanyon Congrats!

FuzzyPup · 14/04/2021 21:04

Ah! So exciting! Congratulations to the new BFPs! And lovely news to @TreeRoad too.

I was saying to my husband yesterday that we will have to get Christmas plans into action earlier this year! There is so much to think about already.

mrslewis2015 · 14/04/2021 22:08

If anyone else is struggling with sickness, i really reccomend the travel wrist bands, you look like a bad 90’s emo band, but if I take them off within 30 mins I’m struggling bad! Worth a shot for a few quid, they are pretty uncomfortable after a few hours and leave marks on your wrists like a tight hair band... but worth it If your nausea is bad!

MushroomQueen · 15/04/2021 00:41

Aww lovely @TreeRoad congratulations

MushroomQueen · 15/04/2021 00:42

@beveroni and @Inthecanyon congrats I'm due 21st (but I never get past 37 weeks) it's very exciting

I’ve posted on the FB page but will update here too.

Took a CB digital the other day at 5+1 and got 2-3 weeks result. Tested again very early this morning at 5+3 and got not pregnant. Was totally baffled - have had strong line test results and thought even if I was having another pregnancy loss, the levels surely wouldn’t dip that much in 2 days?!

So que me driving to a 24 hours Asda at 4:30 in the morning. I picked up some cheap tests and another pack of CB digitals. I’ve done two of the cheap ones and they are most definitely strong positive results. One of them I even ran under a bloody tap cause I dipped it instead of peeing on it which you’re meant to do for that one so it wouldn’t activate... that was still super positive!

I am so confused. I’ve come back to bed hoping to get a little more sleep before my toddler wakes up and will do another digital later on this morning.

I feel sick with worry and just so confused. 😭🤦🏻‍♀️

Sair44411 · 15/04/2021 08:05

@TreeRoad

Little update!

All is well! We got to see the heartbeat and it's one baby, in the right place, measuring 6+4. This is a few days ahead but I know that's normal for being so early on.

Window To The Womb were lovely, couldn't have asked for any more.

Wow congratulations!! Must be so relaxing to know he/she is okay in there!
Sair44411 · 15/04/2021 08:07

@TakeYourFinalPosition

Ahh congratulations *@TreeRoad*, that's so lovely. Congratulations!!

I'm really keen to have an early scan, but DH is really casual and thinks we should wait until the 12 weeks one.

I'm exactly the same! My OH doesn't see the point in an early scan at all but I'm desperate for one! I told him last night it was upsetting me that he doesn't want to make sure our baby is okay - he just said I'm fussing because I know about it when some people don't even know they are pregnant at this point Confused
TreeRoad · 15/04/2021 08:16

@Sair44411 How far along are you? The scan we paid for was £60, which, if you can afford it, is well worth it.

Tell him you're worried about the baby and it'd help you relax and destress a lot if you could see they were ok. Surely he can understand that a stressed Mum is no good for the baby.

I'd highly recommend it if you're anxious. You can't put a price on the peace of mind.

I’m so sorry your going through this @tuesday2am let us know how your getting on! Hope you e managed to get some sleep too. I’d call your midwife/gp for a blood test, just to put your mind at rest, save you panicking over tests and not getting answers xx
climbershell · 15/04/2021 08:37

@tuesday2am hmmm not sure tbh, but I think call gp and ask for blood test maybe?

@Sair44411 I'm on the opinion, it doesn't really matter what your partner thinks, if you want an early scan let him know you're booking one for 7/8 weeks, his choice if he wants to go with you or not. You can get them for £50

Is anyone at 5 weeks really struggling with exhaustion? I am in a very full on period of my v physical work, so would be tired anyway, but last 2 days I've actually crawled up the stairs for my shower and last night went to bed 9:15pm 😯 dizzy as so tired. and wake up with tiredness headache and fog and still in bed 45 mind after alarm as in just shattered!

tuesday2am · 15/04/2021 09:13

@mrslewis2015 @climbershell Thanks guys. Took another CB digital and got the 2-3 result again - so it looks like that other test was just faulty. I also feel so sick this morning which I’m taking as a good sign. Feeling a lot more relieved. Gonna step away from the tests now and give it at least a week before I take the other digital and hopefully it’ll be 3+ by then.

Nellieee · 15/04/2021 09:32

Hi girls. For how long did you POAS?

I'm quite restrained generally, not an addict 😂. My CB digital was 1-2 weeks at (I think) 15/16dpo. Would like to see 2-3 / 3+. I had a good FRER line, but not a dye stealer on that day. I have two tests left (one of each) and impatiently want to test. I don't particularly have any symptoms, except for some pelvic twinges and very mild nausea which I sometimes think is in my mind, so think I'm craving reassurance.

I'm also annoyed with myself that I didn't take a photo of my CB before it went out 🤦‍♀️ and now want to see it again! My partner thinks it's stupid to keep testing, and I should wait until Monday. Gahhhhh. I'm rambling now..! But was just curious as to what you all did?

TreeRoad · 15/04/2021 09:50

I tested, got a positive, had a blood test to confirm then tested about a few times after.

I used Clearblue and my first showed 2-3 so I wanted to see a 3+, so I knew that things were progressing and my hcg was increasing as it should.

It's a double edged sword because if you don't get the progression you want, you're worried. If you do, it's wonderful.

I can see why partners think it's a waste of time and money (similar to early reassurance scans) but anxiety in pregnancy is very real and can be so debilitating.

I can only speak for myself but having had the early scan, I can now spend my time looking at prams and changing stations instead of googling MC and ectopic pregnancies.

If it feels right to keep testing, do it.

Moiraroseswigs · 15/04/2021 10:10

Hi all, I'm new here. To jump in on the testing chat, I'm 6w3d, did a clearblue a couple of days ago presuming it would be 3+ and got freaked out as it was 2-3. It was the same the next morning with FMU. Ended up frantically googling and many posts say they are unreliable and people never reached 3+ but some say it was accurate and when they had a scan it had stopped progressing.

I'm still getting strong positives on other tests. I've a scan early next week with my IVF clinic so I'm going to try and put it out of my mind until then. My clinic are not fans of digital for this reason, they stress people out. It's DH's birthday tomorrow so we've nice things planned for the weekend, it was our first BFP after a struggle and whatever is happening is outside of my control and I'd be oblivious if I hadn't done a digital. If I do more digitals I can see getting upset and obsessing. I wish I hadn't touched it and I'd be happily oblivious with a strong positive.

MushroomQueen · 15/04/2021 10:11

@Nellieee I did loads of tests Blushmost too early but I couldn't resist as they were cheap ones. I got my BFP v faint on 11dpo and had no more tests in the house. I made myself have the will not to buy until
14dpo when I had a v dark line and then waited 2 more days and did clearblue which said 2-3 so I was happy with that and not testing more

MushroomQueen · 15/04/2021 10:13

Gah I’m so so dizzy. I was making my breakfast (bloody yummy again. Might be obsessed with avocado and eggs) just standing there putting on plate when I had to literally hold myself up with cupboard as I was feeling so dizzy all of a sudden. I still feel it now. I’m sitting down and eating hoping it’s sugar related and standing up related. I thought this wouldn’t affect me for weeks yet. In my 2 previous pregnancies I had and still have low blood pressure. But this is very early only 4w 3 days chill out body !

Mctm · 15/04/2021 10:14

@Nellieee I’ve test pretty much every day bar 2/3 days since I found out 12 days ago. I mainly use one step cheapie tests as it’s like 30p a test! I’ve only done 2 digital tests, one at 4+2 and got a 2-3 weeks and one yesterday at 5+4 and got a 3 + so I’m going to stop testing now!!
My partner thinks it’s stupid as well and a waste of money. But I usually don’t tell him I’m doing it 😂
