@Shazza86 thank you for the tip. I just tried the breathing technique and it does weirdly help!

The company we've used upload a video online that you can access for 30 days after the scan, which is a really nice little extra.

I can't imagine how seeing their little heartbeat is going to feel! 😍

climbershell · 14/04/2021 16:57

I did my second clear blue digital weeks test. 1 week ago, my first test 1-2 weeks, today it skipped 2-3 and went straight to 3+. I've guessed myself at 5 weeks today so all ties in (late ovulation so can't go by last period date)

@TreeRoad Bet you can't wait for that scan!! Think I'll book one in first week of May, will have to be an evening too, tho my partner isn't home til nearly 7 but he'll have to leave early

mamaatthegym · 14/04/2021 17:06

Super excited for you @TreeRoad sending positive thoughts your way!

@mrslewis2015 I am sooo bloated as well it’s unreal, I think I’m 6+2 today - I went shopping on Monday and wore my maternity leggings 🤣 and I’m sat here in maternity joggers which are way too big...but I’m suffering with horrendous sickness and anything remotely fitted on my stomach just makes me feel worse!

Booked a private early scan for 8 weeks! I’ve got a Window to the Womb really close to me which is ideal (used them before and they were fab) and got my letters through for my booking in appointment and 12 week scan at the hospital - all starting to feel very real!

TreeRoad · 14/04/2021 17:15

@climbershell I am! Full of trepidation but also excited.

@mamaatthegym Ours is at Window to the Womb tonight. So glad to hear you had a good experience in the past with them.

mrslewis2015 · 14/04/2021 17:35

@mamaatthegym yes I feel you on that, I’ve got into pjs (and bed to work) because anything on my stomach is just horrible! If it helps, this didn’t last for the whole pregnancy last time, bloating definitely got easier and could wear things other than pjs after a little while!

BrodieKD · 14/04/2021 17:57

😂 I've been shattered too. I had an hours nap on my lunch today. Perks of wfh.

@mamaatthegym that's who I've booked for my early scan too. I've heard good things 😊

TreeRoad · 14/04/2021 18:08

Little update!

All is well! We got to see the heartbeat and it's one baby, in the right place, measuring 6+4. This is a few days ahead but I know that's normal for being so early on.

Window To The Womb were lovely, couldn't have asked for any more.

BrodieKD · 14/04/2021 18:25

@TreeRoad awww that's great! Glad is all well!

MissOrganisedMe · 14/04/2021 18:33

@TreeRoad - Great news! That's who my early scan is with a week on Monday

jdr1234 · 14/04/2021 18:38

Great news @TreeRoad
Was it an internal scan?

mrslewis2015 · 14/04/2021 18:43

Oh that’s wonderful!! @TreeRoad so so happy for you!

mamaatthegym · 14/04/2021 18:51

Oooh @TreeRoad yay!! How lovely and what great news for the thread!

Hopefully many more to come!

@wannabemum38 I never actually got a video link so don’t know if my clinic is different...this is the first time I’ve used them for a viability scan. I used them before for a gender scan and then 4D scan later on. With mine you get to choose your own photos from a selection afterwards and they print them out there and then. The rest are available to you on an app they get you to download called “Bumpies” and you can then save them on to your phone etc x

TreeRoad · 14/04/2021 18:51

@jdr1234

Great news *@TreeRoad* Was it an internal scan?

It was indeed, because it was so early.
It wasn't sore at all though, nothing like a smear.

wannabemum38 · 14/04/2021 18:55

@mamaatthegym I saw something about the bumpies app on their website. That's cool.
Yeah I had internal scan last week at the EPU doesn't go in very far and didn't hurt at all.

sophierose77 · 14/04/2021 19:21

@TreeRoad brilliant news - congrats!! Must feel so good!!

Did they try the tummy scan first?

Just interested because I have mine tomorrow at 9.40 🤞🤞

TakeYourFinalPosition · 14/04/2021 19:33

Ahh congratulations @TreeRoad, that's so lovely. Congratulations!!

I'm really keen to have an early scan, but DH is really casual and thinks we should wait until the 12 weeks one.

Horehound · 14/04/2021 19:43

@sophierose77 I had my scan at 6+5 and didn't need Internal so it just depends.

@TreeRoad great news and good reassurance eh? We got a link to videos and photos too..so nice :)

@TreeRoad glad all went ok!

CityGirl182 · 14/04/2021 19:56

Hey ladies, I'm intrigued by all the mention of early scans, I thought we had to wait until 12 weeks? Or are these private scans?
And glad it went well @TreeRoad :)

wannabemum38 · 14/04/2021 19:56

@sophierose77 I've been told to go with a full bladder to mine so they might attempt a usual ultrasound first but I'm anticipating an internal as will be 6+5 and it was measuring small last week

Horehound · 14/04/2021 19:59

Yes private scans @CityGirl182

Horehound · 14/04/2021 20:01

At my scan she just did it on my tummy and was fine but towards the end I was really bursting for a wee and she said "looks like your bladder is getting full. We just get a small window to get a great shot"

Which we did at the time but I too thought you were meant to go with a full bladder but she said it pushes everything to do with the baby further back.
