@BrodieKD lol at boaking. I have already declared that I'll be off poo picking up duties 😂 Thanks - I'm quite calm about it all. Still doesn't feel real! Booked midwife appt today 😬

You start counting weeks from first day of last period. But CB digitals count from date of fertilisation. Just to confuse us!

climbershell · 13/04/2021 12:24

It depends on cycle lengths to when you count tbh. Length of cycle also changes due date

My last period started 6th March but as I ovulated late ok cd20 was in for a long cycle this month, so I'm definitely not 4.5/5 rather than 5.5 weeks

CityGirl182 · 13/04/2021 12:29

Congratulations everyone!
I'm 5+6 with number 3 and already on the cyclizine :/
I had "morning" sickness like this with my daughter so hubbie is predicting I'm having a girl... It'll be funny to see if he's right!

mrslewis2015 · 13/04/2021 12:46

@CityGirl182 cyclazine is a savour! I wish I’d started it earlier with my first. On a HUGE amount of natural suppliments to try and keep it from getting too bad this time. But weirdly it’s like taking pain killers for a migraine, the ‘pain’ is gone but you know it’s still there just being masked. I keep getting hot flashes and dizzy like I did when I was going to throw up but not actually being sick, and my stomach is flipping and heaving without vomiting or strong nausea. It’s very very very odd. But it’s defiantly an improvement from last time!

mrslewis2015 · 13/04/2021 12:49

Hope your doing ok @d1ver are you going to call your midwife/gp? Might be worth it to put your mind at rest. Tests can be so strange, depending on how much water you’ve drank and all sorts, plus some aren’t as reliable as others the ‘one step’ ones I have aren’t getting darker even though digital date ones have gone up and My symptoms are increasing each day.

d1ver · 13/04/2021 13:02

Sorry for going AWOL - I have started to bleed a little (although it's very pink) and some mild cramps. Going to call my midwife unit now and see what they say. Fingers crossed.

Nellieee · 13/04/2021 13:10

@d1ver got everything crossed for you 💖

CityGirl182 · 13/04/2021 13:34

@mrslewis2015 I hadn't thought of it like that but yes, it is just like taking the migraine tablets! I'm still feeling rough, but have been able to eat crackers today, yesterday I couldn't sip water without being sick straight after. Crazy hormones!

@d1ver good luck, sending love

wannabemum38 · 13/04/2021 14:04

@d1ver crossing fingers good luck x

mrslewis2015 · 13/04/2021 14:06

@CityGirl182 it’s so strange isn’t it! Incase your looking for additional support I’m finding big relief from ginger tablets, vitamin b6, milk thistle and tumeric, hoping I might not have to take cyclazine as well but happy to if I can’t get food in! Horrible
Business isn’t it! Hope your doing ok!

@d1ver thinking of you, let’s hope the midwife can give you some answers very soon xx

Thank you all for your lovely messages.

I spoke to the midwife who believes I'm actually 7+5 but am currently going through a chemical. I'm weirdly okay with it - the dates have never matched up and my symptoms have been sporadic at best so I think in my heart I always knew.

I'll pop back in if a miracle happens, but otherwise I'll leave you to it! Wishing you all the absolute best of luck and sending all my love to each of you. Can't wait to see all your good news posts in December!

mrslewis2015 · 13/04/2021 15:03

So sorry your going through this @d1ver sounds like you’ve got an amazing perspective on it, look after yourself and shout out if you need shoulders xx

TreeRoad · 13/04/2021 15:05

@d1ver Sorry to read your update. As someone else said, your perspective is spot on. I hope you get that miracle.

mrslewis2015 · 13/04/2021 16:21

Anyone else have a sharp pulling feeling in womb/muscle just after standing up? (especially after going for a wee or if need a wee... but the pain isn’t until the bladder or when Having a wee?!) I’m guessing it’s just baby settling in and stretching but can’t seem to remember it from last time? I don’t feel concerned but it is quite sore!

BrodieKD · 13/04/2021 16:37

@d1ver sending you a big big hug. Take care xxx

wannabemum38 · 13/04/2021 18:05

@d1ver sorry to hear this. I thought chemical pregnancies happened largely soon after implantation and before 5 weeks at least that's what I read when I had issues last week? Hope you don't get too many side effects x

Nellieee · 13/04/2021 18:39

Very sorry @d1ver. Your optimism is lovely! Wishing you all the best x

jdr1234 · 13/04/2021 19:13

Wishing you well @d1ver, you sound like you are in a good place with it and hopefully you will get your sticky bean soon!
I also thought chemicals happened generally before a missed period or in some cases before 5 weeks so interesting your midwife said this.

Mayneedanextraroom · 13/04/2021 19:24

Thinking of you @d1ver xx

sophierose77 · 13/04/2021 19:50

@mrslewis2015 I'm 6+2 and have had some sharp-ish pains today on and off the whole day. They're not severe, more like sharp short twinges. From what I've read it's likely the uterus stretching and getting ready for baby to grow. I'm hyper aware of any changes at the moment! Have an early scan on Thursday so really keeping everything crossed that all is ok. Hope yours aren't too bad and have stopped now?

sophierose77 · 13/04/2021 19:54

@d1ver so sorry to hear this. I hope you're ok x

jodielouise26 · 13/04/2021 20:12

@mrslewis2015 I've been getting this.. I sometimes think it's if I stand too quickly but then I have to crouch back down so it doesn't feel so stretched 🤨

I'm glad I'm not the only one getting this.

Makes me feel a bit better 😃

mrslewis2015 · 13/04/2021 20:20

Thanks @jodielouise26 and @sophierose77 always good to know your not alone in these weird things! like you said just when I stand up fast, and defiantly eased by bending over, hasn’t realised I did it until you said! if a few of us are having them it’s probably another annoying thing we have to learn to live with. Will double check with my midwife if they get sore Thankyou for replying!!

And hope your scan goes well! I’m getting more and more tempted to book one so I can meet the little monkey causing all these worries!

Had a rough day of sickness today, and my boobs are on FIRE but weirdly I feel more confident in the pregnancy because of it so that’s something!

jodielouise26 · 13/04/2021 20:25

@mrslewis2015 definitely makes it better when others are experiencing the same :)

I don't really have any other symptoms yet.. getting a bit worried again; I had no symptoms at all with my last which ended in MC at 11 weeks.

I'm definitely booking an early scan this time, I really wanted to last time and I didn't get round to it.
x
