Oh my god I've been fighting it but after reading this thread I know I'm going to have to buy a terrys chocolate orange.

Am going to be late for work after having to make potato waffle and beans for breakfast (and I need to read mumsnet while allowing that to settle )

beller · 16/11/2007 08:54

Sarahjct · 16/11/2007 14:54

Aww, I feel like I'm being left behind here. Have horrible heartburn at the mo so all I've had today is:

Toast
Milk
Muffin
Little bit of quiche

Will wait till I get home and can lie down and then I'll work on catching up. Reeeeeally fancy some potato waffles now!

MamaMaiasaura · 18/11/2007 16:26

Mmmm...runny egg (a la Homer stylee)

i had pic n mix yesterday from woolies, lots of.

RGPargy · 18/11/2007 20:36

I had a right day of the munchies yesterday. I just couldn't stop eating, and i wasn't even particularly hungry!!

I kept hoping it was a sign that my body was stocking up for labour, but alas, i'm stil pregnant......

Sardis · 19/11/2007 15:22

Ladies, I will only say this. I had a nightmare time at work for 8 months, commuted around 120 miles a day for virtually the whole pregnancy, and allowed myself to eat more or less what I wanted (within reasonably nutritious guidelines anyway). I still regret putting on an extra two stone more than I needed, and after 5 months of breastfeeding, am still 6 pounds off my prepregnancy weight.
Help yourselves. Try not to eat too much.
I am certainly going to watch the pounds next time, and give myself an easier time on the other side.
Best of luck with your births.

JoanWilder · 19/11/2007 15:33

what a funny thread...
loving all the munching of crazy food
[nostalgic emoticon]

I put on serious weight after the baby was born...my advice, eat what you want before but BF can make you fatter too...esp. if you eat biscuits/chocolate all day and night

Naetha · 19/11/2007 17:02

I have eaten like a horse today!!

By 11am I'd had a huge bowl of bran flakes, a banana, two apples, two treat-size fudges, 180g of sugar snap peas, a treat size dairy milk bubbles (leftovers from our lack of trick-or-treaters!) and a pack of crisps. I then had a ready meal of chicken in tomato and basil sauce with new potatoes (quite nice actually) at 12, and I've eaten a treat size curly wurly, two handfuls of raisins, a handful of sunflower seeds (I was running out of food at this point!) a slice of chocolate cake and another banana.

I'm still starving and going home to have a takeaway curry - I just hope the baby is taking most of this and it isn't just going to end up on my hips!!

MamaMaiasaura · 19/11/2007 21:12

I have been lucky, only put on around 2 stone and am 34 weeks. have had 3 ice lollies already today. Did get a takeout (swim night and no time to cook etc) could hardly eat it. No room!

OP posts:
sparkybabe · 20/11/2007 10:09

Naetha - they do treat size curly-wurlys? Never seen those!

Amani · 20/11/2007 11:38

Does anyone else find that reading this thread makes you feel hungry?

Now I want a curly wurly.....

susiemj · 20/11/2007 12:29

Slowly catching up - I now have
-early breakfast
-breakfast
-late breakfast

  • lunch
  • late luch
-afternoon snack -pre-dinner snack (while I'm waiting for it to cook) -dinner -a little something before bed if i feel like it.

Fruit does not count.
Plus gallons of milk.

And I have developed a thing for baked beans. Can't get enough of them!

RGPargy · 20/11/2007 12:35

I WANT DONUTS AND CURLY WURLYS!!!!!

susiemj · 20/11/2007 12:45
