Anyone else around 39 weeks? Waiting ⏰🌈

SunnySideUp2020 · 27/03/2021 17:19

First baby, 39 weeks today!
Terrified and excited at the same time.
Waiting for this little girl to make a move!

Had nothing that would suggest labour so far.
Never had a contraction (or BH), not lost mucus plug or any had any unusual pains...

Anyone want to wait with me???

I'm 39 weeks on Monday. But with my 3rd 😊
Got a sweep booked Wednesday and induction for my due date.
Did have a sweep last week but they couldn't do it.

anotherboyontheway · 27/03/2021 18:11

39 + 2 weeks with second baby boy due on Thursday... the waiting is killing me!!x

BabyB22021 · 27/03/2021 18:54

38 weeks with baby 2, booked in for c section in 10days. No pains to suggest he will come earlier, just continuous heartburn suggesting he's not moved down!

My baby is currently 4/5 engaged and has been for 2 weeks. And I'm still getting continuous heartburn that makes me almost throw up 😂 I didn't realise it stops for people when baby lowers until the other day I saw someone mention it haha
Fleetw00d · 27/03/2021 19:03

I'm 40+2 and still waiting for my first girl too! Feeling impatient and doing all the old wives tales haha. Booked in for a stretch and sweep on the 31st!
I have heard that labour can just come on without prior warning so try not to worry you haven't had anything yet, my friend felt nothing until her waters broke one night!

SunnySideUp2020 · 27/03/2021 19:07

@SnooperTrooper12345 @BabyB22021

Same here! She has been low down in pelvis for some time but i still get heartburn 😅
So not necessarily related!!!

A few babies will be here soon 💗

Are you all ready? What do you do all day??

@Fleetw00d
Thanks for that! Gives me a little hope :)
Are you having the sweep to avoid induction?
Did you ask for it?

My MW said she will only offer the sweep from 40w3 and only if cervix open enough...

They can only do it if the cervix is open enough. Think it has to be 2cm and the cervix has to have come forward and lowered for them to reach it.

Mine was open (as it never fully closes after a baby)
But cervix hadn't come down do she could barely reach

chickensoup23 · 27/03/2021 19:19

39+2 here too! Having lots of braxton hicks tightenings pretty consistent every evening but little to no pain with them.
The pressure down in my fanjo is insane so basically just lying down. I know I should be walking, ball bouncing etc but I'm so sore I'm not bothering!

Pollypocket344 · 27/03/2021 19:24

Hi 🙋🏻‍♀️ I’m 39+5 so fed up of sign spotting!

Had a sweep on on Wednesday which produced a bloody show over the last few days with a bit of intermittent cramping but nothing else! Got so much pressure down there I don’t know how my waters haven’t gone 😭

chickensoup23 · 27/03/2021 19:34

@Pollypocket344 I keep thinking that about my waters and the pressure. But apparently only 15% of women's waters break spontaneously which really surprised me!

Pollypocket344 · 27/03/2021 19:40

@chickensoup23 yeah I think from all the movies you think it’s going to happen in a dramatic gush! My waters were broken with my first to try and induce me and that was like flooding the River Nile 😂 but I obviously don’t know what would have happened if I’d gone into natural labour

SaveWaterDrinkGin · 27/03/2021 19:45

I had a dramatic Hollywood movie gush with dd1. A huge popping noise followed by a waterfall!

I’m 38+6 with dd2 and so bloody pissed off. Sick of waiting, her head has been well and truly in my pelvis for a few weeks now. Sometimes it feels like it will fall out. I wish it would. Just want her here now!!

Mine went naturally with my second. But it was literally just a very slow trickle!
Wasn't even sure it was my waters.
Was 99% sure I was going to embarrass myself going in and them telling me I was just peeing myself a little everytime I stood up😂😂

ohidoliketobe · 27/03/2021 20:09

I'm 36 with my 3rd and convinced she'll come early as we're in the midst of building works and it would be very inconvient for her to arrive in the next 2 weeks Grin.
That said, I'll probably still be waiting in 4 weeks time!

@Fleetw00d... Going off your username... think we must be neighbours!

SaveWaterDrinkGin · 27/03/2021 20:10

@SnooperTrooper12345 🤣🤣

I was out on a walk with dd today, sneezed and wet myself a little bit. Pregnancy is such a joy isn’t it?!

Ha, I've had a cough for a few days (not covid!) and keep on peeing... Blush
Honestly, it stuff like this no one tells about!

Pollypocket344 · 27/03/2021 20:16

@SnooperTrooper12345 I hope that’s how mine go this time if they do go 🤞🏻

SaveWaterDrinkGin · 27/03/2021 20:17

I’m convinced pregnancy is so shit towards the end that you just can’t wait to give birth. All caveats aside about how lucky I am etc, I genuinely can’t wait to not be pregnant any more.

Fingers crossed one of us goes soon!

BabyB22021 · 27/03/2021 20:17

Oh glad I'm not suffering with the heartburn alone! Had it worse with my first but still fed up with it!

I'm fearing the dramatic waters breaking at the school gates lol. Hopefully we'll see some babies soon!x

SunnySideUp2020 · 27/03/2021 20:36

So i am also on the look out for waters breaking!!!
I have even put an adult diaper with change of pants in the car "just in case"...
😂

@SunnySideUp2020 😂😂😂

SaveWaterDrinkGin · 27/03/2021 20:42

@SunnySideUp2020

Maternity mat in the car and under your bedsheet too just in case.

Pollypocket344 · 27/03/2021 20:44

@SunnySideUp2020 😂😂 I’ve got a towel underneath the sheet on my bed, we just got a new mattress I don’t want that ruined

I did end up having to be induced with it though because labour didn't actually start 😂
