Anyone else expecting their first child in November? So excited, yet nervous at the same time.

Congratulations to you too!! So exciting!! I'm terrified at the same time though. I'm surrounded by friends who are mums already, which is great, but good to hear from someone who's going through it for the first time too.

Have you told anyone else yet?

@Vickster2002 thank you! Yes it is a rollercoaster of emotions 😂

I wanted to tell my mum but decided against it as it would hurt her if something didn't go right, so only myself and my partner know at the moment. Aiming to wait till 12 weeks to tell people, how about you?

X

Hey! Can I join! I got BFP on Monday so due at the end of Nov, currently 4 weeks and 4 days! I did a CB digital which said 2-3 weeks and I'm tempted to do another one next Monday to see if it goes up to 3+ weeks to check everything is rising! I haven't really had any symptoms yet though so I'm trying not to worry. My boobs aren't very sore but I feel tired and starving! How about everyone else?

Floryella · 17/03/2021 16:52

Hi there! Can I join? I think I'm due 23rd November. It's my first pregnancy and I'm terribly anxious at the moment about it sticking. We were about to go in for IVF so I can't quite believe it to be honest. So happy but totally freaking out as well! No symptoms yet except sore boobs.

Hey, I've told a couple of v.close friends as well as DH. Waiting to tell parents for a few more weeks.

Hey welcome! My boobs are so sore. I'm exhausted, but not very hungry. Isn't it funny how it's so different for each woman!

I've done three tests so far. Two Saturday and one yesterday, I wanted to check it still said pregnantGrin

They were all CB digital. on Saturday one was 2-3 weeks and the other 3+. Yesterday's was 3+. Do another if it will reassure you xx

Congratulations!!! Amazing news! The idea of it not sticking seems terrifying. And there doesn't seem to be a whole lot to do about it for now...can't make appointments until 6 weeks.

Can I join? I got my bfp last Wednesday and I still can't believe it. I'll be 5+1 today, due November 16th. I've had daily cramps since AF was due, they're just niggly but have never really done and bunged up (sorry tmi) but otherwise no symptoms. I'm such a worrier, I worry about the lack of symptoms and worry about the ones I have ha. Smile
Vickster2002 · 17/03/2021 18:57

Hi @maggsieB, welcome!! My symptoms are pretty mild too. It all still feels so new and unknown.

Is anyone else obsessively testing? I need to stop doing it every day but I like seeing the line progression. I used a CB digital weeks one today and got 2 - 3 which is where I should be. Basically everything looks good... I wonder when the anxiety will start to go away?

DizSquiz · 18/03/2021 08:02

@Floryella hey, I did for the first 2 weeks but I had to stop as it was driving me mad.

Vickster2002 · 18/03/2021 08:22

@Floryella I did two back to back cos I wanted to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Then did another a few days later to make sure it still said pregnant. Going to try not to do anymore 🙈 but it's hard. It's so reassuring and apart from the sore boobs and exhaustion there's not many other signs I'm pregnant. I guess it's easier when there's a bump too?

Hey, please can I join? I got my BFP on Monday (still feels weird saying that!) and will be due around 22nd November. I don’t have the most regular cycles so that will probably change!
How’s everyone feeling? xx

Floryella · 18/03/2021 14:19

congrats @mariex1989! I know what you mean, it feels really weird to me too. Hopefully it'll start to sink in soon.

Hi @maggsieB - I've been having cramps the whole time too. Not too bad but enough to make me a bit worried. To be honest they were probably the first 'symptom' as they started much earlier than they would have done before AF on a normal cycle, so I guess they must be ok.

@Vickster2002 the bump will definitely be reassuring, but on the other hand I don't mind waiting a while. I'm meant to be getting married in early June so hoping it doesn't get big too fast so I can still fit into my dress!

Does anyone have any tips to combat the anxiety? I'm thinking of trying some meditation.

I've heard they're probably due to implantation and everything starting to stretch in prep, doesn't stop me worrying about every little niggle. Congrats to all- all these babies arriving in November how beautiful!
Crazybabylady14 · 18/03/2021 14:40

Hi I hope it's ok for me to join?! Expecting my first - due 13/11 at the moment (I guess this could change slightly after saying scan) Currently 5+5 so still very early days.

Had an unexpected call from the midwife to arrange booking in appointment and she's already got the hospital to book in the first scan - very efficient especially as I read on a few threads ladies feeling a bit in limbo from not hearing a peep unless they chased things up.

So it's all starting to feel a little bit more real as so far other than exhaustion and sore boobs it's a little unreal still 😬😁

Hope everyone is doing well xx

Hi, welcome and congrats!! You're due the day before me!

I haven't spoken to any medical professionals yet. My GP wouldn't answer the phone so submitted a form online. Got a text message telling me to self-refer to the midwives, followed the link and they don't want to hear from me until I'm six weeks. So nothing to do until next week! 🤷‍♀️

Hi! Congrats and welcome! All good here, although the sore boobs haven't gone yet!! How are you?

Thank you @Vickster2002 @Floryella and massive congrats to everyone! ☺️☺️

I’m not feeling too bad really. Sore boobs haven’t kicked in completely yet but I feel like they’re on the way! Feeling more tired than usual and just generally anxious about it all eek, but I’m sure that’s not unusual this early?
Already booked an early viability scan to hopefully calm me down a bit (that’s not until 10th April mind so plenty time to overthink everything in the meantime 🙈) xx

glow92 · 18/03/2021 16:41

Hi girls, I'm 6+6 and having allllll the symptoms!
Might be pushed back a week due to late ovulation.
Gone off nearly all food the last 2 days which hasn't been fun.
Congratulations all 💜.

I have them everyday. I work with a midwife and she said it's the uterus stretching and getting ready to grow the baba. Don't worry! Easier said than done I know
